We used Summit Air to replace our 30 year old HVAC system. They thoroughly inspected our old system and provided us with a very detailed quote. The installation was done very professionally and with great care. We are extremely pleased with our new efficient units and have enjoyed seeing the cost of electric and natural gas go down. BEWARE!! NIGHTMARE!! PREPARE TO GET A LEMON. PREPARE TO LIVE IN A HIGHLY AFFECTED LIFE ON HOLD situation. For some people (like us) -- prepare for long term health issues/future health issues created by this company's incorrect install. Living outdoors with high winds moving up all the dust pile nearby would have been a better life. At least that dust is dirt, and not old roof dirt, insulation, and 1970s debris. Solutions/Fixes from them: Good luck. We've had over 5 different visits to find the problem/fix things, including a 3rd party duct cleaning company AND ELECTRICIAN to fix lights installers broken/disconnected. At the 3rd visitation for a solution...I CRIED AND BROKE DOWN to the staff. I just broke down in front of them, and couldn't even explain the situation without all the pain rushing to me. Those is not normal!! I don't cry to strangers like that out of the blue!! I don't easily cry when I'm frustrated. I have a toxic amount of high tolerance when it comes to stupid ppl for some reason = social blindness? F* this company! Especially for abusing the situation, making themselves look like they offer scrap solutions when it isn't. Look at the picture of the filter that is just months old from a "new HVAC and ducts" = looks like someone's house that never changed their filter for yearS! Dirt situation is still not fixed. No point in fighting or letting a wall know...., best case is we'd have to go through another month of gas lighting, and ultimately no real fixing solution. We've wrestled as much as I think we can. We can't afford or have the energy for a lawsuit. I give up....or maybe wait to save up more energy for a lawsuit? But what's that going to do? Will it get fixed or repeat the same whole process of someone redoing the work and hope the best...I'm not very optimistic. We should have just kept our old HVAC and 1970s dusty ducts. And 1970s ducts were old, damaged by being scammed by a local duct cleaning company (who should have never cleaned it/not a material to be cleaned) and blowing out white gray dust to darker by the time we called. But that's still better than the NEW ducts we have now!!! Our old HVAC was quieter, worked but thought we'd change it out since we are changing the ducts. We should have never went with this company. We paid for the new HVAC + Ducts. What we got was a living nightmare and probably future health problems/shorten life from breathing in months of nonstop blowing of roof and attic dirt, debris, dust, insulation parts. And continued forever dirt blowing out. Forced to live somewhere else because it's so bad. Coughing all the time, stuffed up and more. And really at ends witts about the situation. Don't have much energy to battle anymore...with all the "solutions" completed. Now we are just stuck with a place blowing less dirt than before, and a loud vibrating HVAC. That's still not okay. They offer solutions/fixes that don't completely fix everything. It was pulling teeth and fighting the nonstop gaslighting. At this point, I probably can have everyone at the whole company visit my house and still miss on the issue they've caused. They promise a solution. But it's a bottleneck. Multiple staff will gaslight you, make your feel crazy. The one person who can call the shots to make the fix is too busy. Be vocal about it? Demand it? At some point of patience and slack on them became none. They'll take advantage of everything. Till today we still have not gotten an apology from the sales person about the nightmare we went through, and the current lemon situation/mini nightmare we still live. Every other staff, we don't care for an apology since they aren't the one promising or can do anything to give us a solution. The situation is complicated and difficult to explain. After more than 5 different visitations, you'd be exhausted from the fight too. Each of those visitations required lots of fighting for. Full service means nothing if they cause so many issues/give you a lemon, make your place inhabitable and lag any 'possible' solution that actually doesn't fix things. Half ass fixes... Because clearly it didn't fix the situation, they won't believe you, and will have no solution left. The solution is for another better company to redo all the work. Theres really too much that has happened, and to breakdown. I hope my review gives you a quick breakdown of how horrible our situation is. I broke down and CREID TO THE STAFF!!! Out of hopelessness. Our home is still F up!! Sales person said to let them know if there anything...what's the point now?? There's nothing more they can offer. Don't know about the quality of their work but the sales pitch was very high pressure, The "salesman" told me that he would have to get approval from the CEO of the company to give me the deal he was offering and that if he got approval from the CEO I would have to accept the offer immediately as it was a "one time only" offer. When he called back a few minutes later he said "You won't believe it but the CEO gave me the green light for a price that we have never offered befeore" At the end of the day the bid from this company was about 30% higher than any of the other five bids that I received. They may be a very good company and their products and work may be good but apples to apples they were in outer space on their bidding. Beware!!! Do not use this Company!!!. They have a bunch of incompetent employees from Sales Tech Brandon, Customer Rep Kayla, Ryan, who is the Warranty Rep. And even the Owner Sean. They have techs whose intentions are to just sell u the units instead of finding the true nature of the problem. They do have a very experienced tech who's only been there for 6 months and seems to be the only honest employee they have. His name is Reyes, and he is the only good person who is honest and trustworthy. My problem started on Thursday the July 11th, with my AC not cooling. They send a tech name, Brandon. All he did was put 3 clamps on my AC unit and look at his phone and say that I had no pressure and there was a leak. He then proceeded to go to my attic and took a bunch of pictures. He said that there was a micro leak somewhere in the furnace and that it needed to be replaced. He couldn't show me the exact place of leaked. Understand that it is 110+ outside and hot inside the house. We end up agreeing to get our furnace replaced. It was the biggest $8312 mistake of our life. Even before the installation on July 13th. I texted Brandon and said that I think my problem is at the AC unit where the original leaked was. He assured me that it wasn't and that their installer would check everything after the installation, even the AC unit. I doubt they open the Ac unit. They just pumped Freon. The furnace was installed, and the system worked for a day after all the freon they pumped into the system was all gone. I even complained that the new thermostat was not working properly and it needed to be replaced. Brandon couldn't make it till Monday 15th at night. He finally opened up the AC unit and found there was a leak. It was the same location where it was patched up originally. He then proceeded to blame that it was a coincidence and it was not their fault. I spoke to their Owner Sean and he also said the same thing. Apparently, most of their technicians are not qualified to fix this kind of leak. They needed to have their experience tech to do it. Now I can see why all their tech are a bunch of sales techs. They just want to sell instead of fixing the actual problem. Anyways, after multiple rescheduled, on July 18th, their experienced tech, Reyes finally came, and patched the leak and mentioned to me that this was the original leaked. He said that they misdiagnosed the problem. He said that he doesn't understand why most of their techs are like that. They just want to replace everything instead of troubleshooting it and fixing the right way. My AC has finally been working properly for over a week. The patch on the AC unit really fixed the problem. Great job to Reyes!!! Now, the installer tore up my attic access during installation. I've been calling for almost 2 weeks. I've spoken to Kayla, and she keeps saying she will me back, but nothing. Multiple reps keep saying that I will get a call back. I've called almost every day to get an answer about my attic repair, and finally, today, July 26th, I got a scheduled appt for repair on August 6. We'll see. Ryan is their Warranty Rep. I emailed him to call me back but never did. I finally got a hold of him today, the 26th. I asked him if he could add a labor warranty for the AC patched, and he said for a charge. I explained to him about the hazzle I had to go through, plus the misdiagnosis of my system that cost me $8312. He wasn't understanding it. He said that there was nothing he could do. I asked if I could talk to the owner Sean, and he said that he would relay the message. Please Beware of this Company! They don't know how to treat their customers right. I had an AC that was not cooling, and called them to diagnose it. They made a scheduling mistake and didn't show up an hour after I received a text they were on the way. I was rescheduled for a few hours later, which was fine with me. Their technician came and got on my roof for awhile and told me the compressor was bad. Said it was over pressurizing and turning it self off and showed me his photos of the pressure readings, and I believed him. A new compressor was $6k, so I asked about a new unit and was quoted 13k for their cheapest 4 ton. The price isn't terrible, although I did find a comparable one for 10k. That's not what the negative review is about. Their technician was absolutely more of a sales man. He was extremely pushy to get me to buy and when I said I would like to shop around for other quotes before I buy, he said "Why are you wasting my time then?" Chris was pissed I wouldn't buy. It gets worse. Way worse. I called a different company that I worked with before for a free second opinion. That technician fixed the unit for free, said that there was too much refrigerant in your compressor so all he had to do was take some out and it was working fine. It is possible Summit Air had changed my capacitor ($30 fix) and then over filled my compressor to make it fail so that I would buy a new unit. And I believe that because after Summit left the AC had different symptoms where it would start to cool and then cut off, where as before it would at least blow room temperature air. Summit Air has at best case incompetent technicians, and at worse case malicious ones. If you call them, at the minimum you must get a second opinion, but I wouldn't even waste my time! read more

I feel that I was taken advantage of my ac went out in July 2023 in Las Vegas. I did have American home shield warranty but after about three days of the HOT HEAT they could not find anyone to look at my unit. So I asked if I found someone will they cover the charge. Summit Air/Semper Fi A/C is scamming people. I had Semper Fi come and check my units. He told me I needed new condenser fans because they were leaking oil. He showed me a pic of someone else's unit showing a condenser in very bad shape. I got a second opinion. There was absolutely nothing wrong with mine and in fact, they were still under warranty which he would have known. Please get a second opinion before you hire them. I saw an ad on Facebook from Summit A/C giving away a FREE A/C to people living in the Las Vegas area. They called right away and sent someone over on June 20, 2024. Lex spoke with me and my husband, took measurements and offered a reasonable rate for "Aeroseal" on all our vents downstairs. That's all we can afford at this time. We agreed with Lex's offer and he said they'd start the work soon. Weeks later, I called Lex's number but a recording comes on immediately and asks to leave a message. I left a detailed message. Now it's July 19th, I call and the same recorded message on Lex's phone. I left a message. Then I called the office number and Courtney said she'd have Lex call. I told her he never calls and I want to speak to a manager. Apparently, there's no manager that can talk to me and she said he'll call me back today. I told her if no one calls we're going to call another A/C company. Bottom Line: I think these people are only interested in expensive A/C installations that Lex quoted as over $10,000. Although he quoted us the Aeroseal as $2,900, which is expensive to us, apparently it's not enough to motivate these people to even call people back. I only wanted a tune up. The person who showed up didn't do that, but rather gave me a quote for 14k and pushed me to buy a new system right away. I already know my system is old and prefer to get other quotes before committing to one installer. The person who came out was nothing more than a glorified salesman. Funnily enough, he didn't even have access to their finance department and had to call another person, who also didn't have access! I wanted this person out of my house, but I wasn't comfortable enough to speak up due to his pushiness. Welp, they gave me the quote and after taking some info from me (DO NOT do this), I was approved for the financing of 14k. Yeah, cool. They sent me the email. I was pretending to go along with it just so I could get him to leave already. They even tried to get the system installed the same day! Probably so I wouldn't be able to back out. Luckily that didn't happen and he finally left. I immediately canceled the quote. When I called to cancel the install, I was redirected to another person who actually tried guilting me into installing. I was done at the point. Canceled everything and tried to forget about it. But no! I got a credit card in the mail from their financing department, Synchrony bank. I'm sure they used my info to apply for the card, which they didn't even tell me about! I was under the impression they were going to see if I qualified for it in the first place. There was absolutely no mention of a credit card. Do not go with these pushy salesmen. I got another quote from Bob's Repair and it was 8.6k! A way better deal and they weren't pushy on top of that. Take your business elsewhere, all they wanted to do was make a sale. read more

Update: Summit is now Semper Fi. I was hoping this would mean better service and communication, but no. - Over the summer we had a water leaking out of our upstairs ceiling. After Semper Fi came, turns out it was due to improper installation. Apparently it was fixed ... but with this company, who knows. It's fixed for now, I guess. - They now call and text incessantly for a "tune up" appt. About a month ago we agreed to a tune up (we allowed this because we have a warranty and we don't ever want them to say our warranty is not enforceable because we didn't get proper tune ups). When the tech arrived he said he was there for the leak. Same story: no communication between the office and the techs. He did the "tune up" (whatever that was... he was here 5 minutes) and now we still get call after call and text after text to schedule our "tune up". This is showing that there is still horrible communication, this company is a mess and even with the rebrand they cannot be trusted. After a week of waiting we started looking for quotes to compare. Summit was Company 2 tech said it could be fixed but could use replacing but while we were waiting for that on the spot quote, company 3 showed up and was able to quote us and fix it on the spot and in a few minutes. It was fixed before summits tech could get through his up sale pitch. Very frustrating at least the tech did say there was a fix but still wasted our time instead of getting to the point. Called these guys out for their emergency 24 hour service to find out why my air stopped. When it turned out to be my blower motor and $1500 later, I opted to put the repair on hold and wait for my warranty company to see what they would do, since a few hotel nights and my deductible would be cheaper. After that dragging out a few days (never use a home warranty company) I decided to call these guys back and ask them to do the repair. I called them on Tuesday asking if they had the right part in stock. Was told they'd send it over to someone to look at inventory and someone would call me. No call. I called again the next day, told the same. No call. Gave it a 3rd shot and nothing again. So I stopped calling. It's now almost a week later and they still haven't got back to me. I'd say it was 5 stars based on the tech coming out the first night and diagnosing and being awesome (Andy G was great, one of the best), I was optimistic I'd found a good company to use long term. Sadly, the response and getting back to me has soured me from that. I know it's summer and they are busy, so I guess they are too busy for more business or just don't have the best system for remembering to get back to people. All the people I've talked to there have all be great. Maybe I just slipped through the cracks (3 times). I wouldn't say don't use them, but I am a little soured by this follow up experience. The team worked hard to fault check my systems and easily solved our problems. These young men are tops in their field and we (being senior citizens) really appreciate their dedicated work and their expert knowledge. We could not be more pleased with the quality and efficiency of their work and what they accomplished today. Very hot in the attic... Brandon came out to do their lil $18 'tune up' on my hvac unit. Shortly after leaving, my air conditioning no longer wanted to cool my home under 85. After being away from home at school, I received the notification from by eco bee about the issue. I called to have them come out the next day bc I had plans later on that night. I moved my thermostat number up to 85 to keep my ac from running uselessly. They arrived at my home while I was away to tell me I made an error bc I changed my thermostat. Later in the evening, on a three way call w manger David or sumn, he belittled me. My air still don't work properly, but I wouldn't let them touch it again w a ten foot pole. read more

When they installed the unit the technicians were excellent and exceeded expectations, about a month later I noticed water lines on the ceiling. My landlord called the summit air and they had a technician come out. Kevin Born Arrived looked at the ceiling and unit located it attic he had to pump water out from the install. I asked what the problem was and he stated that they are not suppose to tell us but that I could clearly see and new that it was from the new ac installed it wasn't done properly but that I should be good to go. I checked the display and it said power loss so he seemed upset cause I checked and said well I guess I am not done and went back up attic about 3min later he stormed passed me with out saying a word! So I went to check downstairs and saw the door open and thought maybe he is coming back, so I looked out window and the van was gone!! I called customer service Danielle was understanding with my frustration but they could not get a technician back in the area until tomorrow morning. I asked for manager to call me back and he did but still nothing could be done until tomorrow. Kevin Born was rude and left the ac worse than what it was like when he got here at least it was working the fact that he left with out updating me on issue and left door open is unacceptable. They offered a free tune up for my a/c unit. When they came out they sent me pictures of my unit running. Then proceeded to tell me I needed a new unit because mine would not last the summer. I stated I just wanted my unit tuned up which they did not do. The very next day after they were there my unit did not work! I called another company and they said that my compressor was blown out and all the refrigerant was drained from the unit. The technicianGrady came out to complete the inspection/tune up on my A/C unit. He was on time, very professional and extremely thorough. At the end of the service Grady reviewed photos of the unit and was very knowledgeable and detailed with his explanations and recommendations. We set up an appointment because we have an old HVAC system, and it was just time. We met with Bayne who spent so much time explaining how inefficient our old system is, showed us videos of the furnace up in the attic, which was rusted and clearly on its last legs!, He then explained what our options were.. "Always faithful!" Semper Fi. This company lives up to its name! The dynamic duo brother team of Britt and Caleb performed an absolutely flawless job installing our new 2-ton unit. Six hours later without a lunch or restroom break, they had our new system up and running. We could not be happier! These two were so clean, thorough in their execution, and unfailing in their work that they set a new standard for their peers to try and emulate. 'Not sure what the "overseer" (?) George was supposed to do when he showed up halfway through the installation. After barely introducing himself on the street, he decided that the outside condensing unit staged on the street was not staged correctly on the sidewalk, so he dragged the condensing unit off of its protective wooden pallet and then dragged in down the concrete sidewalk about ten feet. 'Lucky that we have a climate that hopefully will not affect the now-raw-metal bottom of the outdoor condensing unit, which has now suffered having all of its paint scraped off of its bottom. George then proceeded to welcome himself in through the front door, without even a knock, and barely more than a head nod to my wife who was sitting right there in the main room. Lord knows what he contributed from there since I wonder if he ever made it into the attic where the interior units were being installed by Britt and Caleb. Regardless, I felt we all suffered George's presence, but his presence could have been worse. Britt and Caleb were the real performers, so the interloper's brief presence was tolerated. Bottom line: We do not feel that you can do better than Semper Fi (formally Summit). Employ them with absolute confidence! read more
