I really like Summit Cleaners. Are they perfect, no, but they are far and away better than the other options available to me. While they are out of the way, 12 miles round trip from home, it is well worth it for the service they provide and their pricing. It seems as though the cleaners in Phoenix fall into two categories: exorbitant prices with coupon discounts or $2.50 cleaners. Summit does it right by pricing their cleaning competitively from the start and not requiring coupons while still providing full service. They advertise their pricing at 50% off, which it is compared to the "coupon" cleaners. Compared to the $2.50 Cleaners they are a little more, but provide full service. Summit has been my cleaners of choice for almost five years now and will continue to be as long as they remain competitive. I just wish they would tidy up a bit, other than that they are great! read more

I had dry cleaning done here. I went to open my dry cleaning and discovered that they had not given me one pair of wool pants. I went to the store and ask how they would make this right. The manager did not even say I'm sorry. He only said he can't help me. They didn't even offer to refund the fee for the dry cleaning. Meanwhile I have an $80 pair of wool pants gone missing that they won't assist with making right. I will never go back to that ever. read more

I would actually give NO stars as it was the worst customer service I have had. When I dropped my shirts off the price was higher than normal and when I simply asked why the owner came up and said he take your stuff elsewhere if you want that price cause there is no profit. He was extremely rude and condescending. I said you should be a little more respectful if your the owner and he said goodbye and walked away. The price may be worth a respectful individual but obviously he only cares about profit and not customer service. I will never return to this place and I hope others follow suit! read more

Beware, when you call they give you the regular price for dry cleaning (pants 5.95 and suit jacket 7.25) then if you come in with a coupon or anything all the sudden the quoted "regular" price is now the 50% discount price...... So, the real regular price for items if you come in with a coupon is 11.90 for pants and 14.50 for suit jacket. Many other good dry cleaners for half that and that have straight forward pricing! read more

My father-in-law recently told me about Summit Cleaners. I went in with two dressess and a 60% off coupon that I printed from their webpage. The lady at the front was totally incompetent and could barely figure out what the price would be for each dress. When she finally figured it out, I brought up the coupon. She said that I would only get 10% off instead of 60% off because the prices were already 50% off. I told her that she needed to quote me a regular price or show me a price list. She couldn't produce a price list and said that she couldn't explain why. I asked her to call her boss and her boss just said "no" and hung up. What kind of customer service is that? I took my husbands shirts to Summit Cleaners. I asked the employee if they qualify for the $1.95 and he said yes, I asked "well the sign says "business shirts" and these aren't but they are laundered, just need ironed." He said that is fine, they are $1.95 each. When I picked them up he charged me $3.95 and explained to me that they are not "business shirts." After doing business with another dry-cleaning service for 30 years (regrettably, they recently fell victim to new ownership) I tried Summit Cleaners. I was very disappointed with the unfriendly and terribly unhelpful young female who represented both of my two experiences with Summit. She apparently missed both days of training in both communication and service. The service is terrible, and very overpriced for the apparent value. Summit Cleaners are terrible. The customer service is awful and the staff has no idea how to process coupons and do basic math. They are overpriced and they charge you an "environmental fee" which is undisclosed until you go to pay for your items. However, the thing that is most upsetting is that these idiots write your last name in permanent black marker on the inside of your light colored shirts. Who does that? What if this was a rental shirt or this was your boss's dry cleaning. What do I do when I want to donate these shirts someday, color over my name? Are we back in summer camp where you write your name on your suitcase? They have basically done graffiti on my property and did not disclose that this is how they do business when I dropped it off. I picked up my dry cleaning and a few days later found that it contained a pair of men's slacks instead of the women's slacks. I returned the incorrect pair and was told to wait a few weeks for my slacks to be returned. it has been two months and Mr. Ham does not return my phone calls or emails. I asked for replacement value of $40 plus the $10.10 I paid for the dry cleaning. I received one phone message from Mr. Ham, the owner, telling me to come in to the shop. Stopped by the store seven times and the Manager knows nothing and doesn't know when Mr. Ham will be in the store. I have left copies of my emails to him and my phone number and received nothing yet. It is $50...he will not reimburse. I am going to take him to small claims court if he doesn't reimbursement for their error! My wife wanted to get her new purple cashmere sweater dry cleaned. So, I took the sweater to Summit Cleaners. When we picked up the sweater we noticed that there was a hole in the sweater. I went to the store to inform them that the sweater was damaged. The manager was not available at the time so the rep said the manager will contact me back. The manager never called me back so I had to go back to the store to ask the status of the complaint. The owner's response was basically that the sweater had a lot of damage on it and he wont replace it. This was absolutely ridiculous since the sweater is BRAND new!!! There was no hole in the sweater before we took it there for dry cleaning. We would not make a big deal of this, but the sweater was expensive so we are asking for funds to replace her damaged sweater. If I knew this is how this business operates I would have gone somewhere else and not waste my time. Just want to let others know that if something goes wrong with your clothes the Owner will not take responsibility and just brush you off. I filed a complaint with BBB. read more

I cannot express how disappointed I am with Summit Cleaners. I had my $175 pottery barn faux fur blanket cleaned here. When I picked it up I immediately noticed damage to the faux fur side of the blanket. It appeared matted and almost singed in spots. I had never had it cleaned before, so the once fluffy soft blanket was now flat and looked 100 years old. The manager acted as if he didn't have a clue what I was talking about and said - he didn't know what it looked like prior so he couldn't do anything for me. He did offer to refund my $20 for the cleaning and said I could bring it back when the owner was in but that he probably wouldn't do anything more for me either. I did come back along with a brand new blanket from pottery barn to show the owner the difference. He may as well laughed in my face! He was rude and unconcerned with the fact that my blanket was now ruined. He ended up yelling at me stating that he was not going to compensate me for any damages.
