Where else can you get two eggs, home fries, and toast for $2.95...not too many places like this still exists. Your food comes out so quick it doesn't seem like it's physically possible to cook that fast. The servers are always friendly and accommodating. You'll never have an empty cup of coffee or cold coffee. My daughter ordered orange juice and it didn't taste fresh. The waitress was understanding, apologetic and took it off the check. I have ordered Letter H and Letter I from menu posted here online on yelp. Order was to go clerk never told me the total price over the phone. I was ready to pay $6.95 per order just like it says on menu on yelp when restaurant manager says it's $25 dollars. Card reader never worked I had to pay cash. Both orders were 2 stars out of five. Mainly it was consistent of potatoes no beef or ham. Very tiny pieces of meat. Be cautious before you order based on online menu. I ordered a cheeseburger sub, it came out with no mayonnais, then I could smell the freezer burnt hamburgers, witch were also cold. How can you purposely sell freezer burnt meat? Now this was my second visit to this restaurant. The first time I ordered a blt, so that was served to me also with no mayonnais on burnt toast with tomato ends not slices, brown lettuce, and maybe one slice of crumbled bacon. This place claims to be King of the Hot Dog, the test determined that was a lie. Tiny hot dogs like you get at the supermarket marked contains chicken. I guess to start, my salad was brought out and almost all the lettuce was brown. Even the waitress said she wouldn't eat it. ( not sure why she even served it) The tomato was absolute mush it was so old. So gross man. The gyro was small and not good. I understand its a diner but if you charge money for food for gods sake make food that taste good... I come here every so often for brunch with my parents and think they do a decent job with their dishes. When you come here, expect typical diner vibes, as they are on par with standard diners in just about every way: somewhat sticky tables, you'll probably be missing a set or two of silverware, and the waitress will undoubtedly spill a bit of coffee on your table as she's filling your cup for the 100th time. Not knowing it was ranked best hotdog by Harrisburg magazine I ordered their signature hotdog, and gravy fried. Not disappointed at all. Great experience at this diner. Great food, prices are spot on and portions are big. The Greek omelet comes with spinach feta and tomato! I can't count the number of times I've had to ask for either spinach or tomato to be added at other diners to make a Greek omelet. The sausage links are hearty not the tiny links you get at most diners and you get 3 in one serving! Service was fast and freindly. Our waitress even made an easy accommodation for a gluten free swap for me that most servers don't think of. This alone really impressed me. Either we hit the lottery or this is the kind of service encouraged by the management. I'm hoping it's a combination of the two! We will be going back again! I love finding great diners! read more

The food has always been great, the waitresses are always super sweet and friendly (even when my daughter spilled a drink and made a huge mess ) and are very kind and patient. Great diner option for breakfast or brunch near 83. Go-to item is the 2-2-2, which is French toast, eggs, and bacon/sausage. Their potatoes are great, and they have a good bread selection (read: they have rye). The eggs are usually cooked perfectly, although we've had a few times that they are a little overdone (has only happened during peak hours). The waitresses work hard to keep your coffee cup full, but I can't say the same about water. Overall, a solid choice in the area. read more

This place has the worst wait staff. Rude and disrespectful to me and my family. I waited until my drink was cold to receive creamer. And when my husband tried to order my youngest child a to go dinner from the children's menu the waitress said the order had to come from my child and not an adult. They were completely ridiculous for completely unseasoned and mediocre food for my family and that is giving it more praise then it deserved. And my food was inedible. Grease oozing out of my egg omelette. My hot tea that grew cold waiting for creamer had a very off taste. As if the water filter needed changed and I was drinking sludge tea. Stopped in early one morning while traveling up 83 (it's right off the interstate) on a whim after looking at reviews here. Very friendly and fast service, delicious food and good offerings, and they kept the coffee cup filled. All around solid experience. My friend had an Italian omelet which was jammed full of three or four different kinds of meet and I opted for the strawberry stuffed french toast. Having eaten at many delicious diners for breakfast, we consider this to be average. The bacon omelet I ordered had great flavor, but was over cooked, and hard around the edges. The home fries tasted oily. My husband had bacon that was lean and crisp. His scrambled eggs were over cooked on one side and undercooked on the other. He also did not enjoy his home fries. There were other customers dining who seemed to enjoy the home made oatmeal, and some customers were arguing over who would order the last bowl. The service was slightly below average, but I'd consider returning again if I was hungry and in the area. read more

I'd like to start off by saying, I never ever write reviews but I simply could NOT pass this up. I called Summit Restaurant around 2:00 to place a large TO GO order for my co-workers and myself. Dennis was the gentleman who answered, he was very cheerful and super funny during our conversation, starting off my first experience with them on a great note! I arrived about 15 minutes after I placed my order, he greeted me very cheerfully, addressed me by my first name, walked back and right out with my order. Dennis not only neatly bagged every hot dog order individually but he also handwrote labels on each bag! Though this experience may seem simple to the average person, it meant a lot to me, something so small can impact someones entire day! I will return and will send many their way, they deserve it!
