Thinking back I realize how creepy it was that he wanted our hands to be callous free "for our husbands". Shawn dated his clients and frequently caused jealously amongst them during class. It was extremely uncomfortable. He inevitably married a client which ended in a nasty divorce. I just couldn't handle the drama. It was a very dark experience for me. He knows NOTHING about heath or nutrition, and blames his lack of fitness & health on everything and anyone else but himself.  I recently gave my opinion online that he is "the worst trainer I have ever had" and some female (presumably a client he is dating) posted a private message from me to Shawn thanking him for my renewed confidence. That was 2014 & before I saw what was going on around me. Shawn & this female "Alicia" continued bashing me on this particular thread.  I have had many trainers and different gyms, all of them reputable and had something I could learn from. Shawn Bell is just a toxic narcissist on a power trip taking advantage of vulnerable girls. Stay away.

The gym overall is easily one of the cleanest in the area. Yes they have had some equipment down for an extended amount of time. HOWEVER we have to realize that sometimes this is out of the hands of the gym. The parts needed for the equipment currently down is on order and not currently available. Again, going back to the integrity of this gym. Open and honest when a customer asks what's going on... Plenty of equipment, well thought out on where the equipment is. I have been to the new Fitness Quest facilities, as well as the other gyms in the area. Big reason I keep coming back here!
