However, I thought based on the ratings, I'd give it a try. Based on this experience I am done, for good with AYCE sushi! The only thing good was the service, it was attentive but I would not give credit for the food coming out quickly. It did come out quickly because the sushi makers have no skill in making sushi. This is satisfactory with the owner? This restaurant is staying afloat from mass produced poor fish quality at a AYCE price. When you get mangled slices of fish it's not good quality! The sushi rice was not even pressed correctly to form a nigiri. Every piece of nigiri was falling apart. There is hardly any rice, which some places boast about because it doesn't look like they're trying to fill you up on lots of rice. Here, the rice is so small it doesn't even hold up! Then they cover it up with this thin, long piece of fish. This sushi has no substance because you can't even pick it up without falling apart! Every thing is chintzy. The photo shows the eel nigiri. See, it's not even a slice and the rice bunched next to it is the rice from the other piece because it fell apart. The other photo is toro. I ate one piece and couldn't stomach the rest. It was toro scraps that wasn't the color that toro should be because there is something on it. Why cover up toro? Answer: because it's poor quality. WOW, people are giving this place high stars must be implants. There is no way this restaurant is serving the quality that warrants high reviews unless the diners really think this IS high quality deserving of 4.8 stars! If you order something that is out of stock, they don't let you know--they simply skip it without saying anything. For example, our table of four requested ice cream for dessert, but they only brought out three. When we asked about the missing one, they casually said it was out of stock. We came here on a Monday expecting to pay AYCE weekday price of around $28, however when we sat down we were told that we would be charged for all day price of $37 because it's "post EDC" which was kind of dumb in our opinion. We were wondering if they were charging everyone the "post EDC" price or if they were just assuming whoever looked like they went were charged. It's getting harder to find good deals in Vegas, so an all you can eat sushi and hot pot experience for $36.95 is pretty great. We came for an early dinner on a Sunday and there was no wait. The inside has a modern Japanese feel with wooden tables and benches. Not the most comfortable but that's okay. They started us quickly with the Wagyu Volcano Beef Hot Pot. It was presented beautifully but the meat wasn't the best quality even though it's supposed to be wagyu. The refill plate of Beef Belly, however, was good. There's a lot on their menu. We made sure to try most of the items with an "A" which can only be ordered once per person. Sadly, the Crispy Toro Rice was too hard and the Cucumber Salad was too vinegary. The Ribeye Garlic Steak was surprisingly tasty and came on a sizzling plate. The Salmon Collar was pretty good too. An entire side of their menu is dedicated to sushi. All of the Carpaccios and were good, but the yellowtail was the best. The Omakase Sashimi was a pretty box of fresh fish. I wish all the rolls came with 4 pcs so we could try more. The I Heart Wagyu Beef and Miyabi rolls weren't bad but came with 8 pcs and we grew tired of them. Like most ayce places, you get 90 min. to eat but I didn't feel rushed here and the service was great. The meat didn't look like A5 wagyu, maybe American wagyu or fake wagyu. Refills of meat were available for the hotpot. The sushi was okay. The fish was fresh. The grilled beef skewers were good. Normally, I'd opt for basic salmon and yellowtail, but this place has me hooked on the special items, especially the negitoro and the bluefin. The food was delicious and love the concept of AYCE sushi and hot pot combined. They won't seat you unless your whole party has arrived, and they don't take reservations. You can put your name on the wailist once you arrive. They have lots of booths for 4 ppl and some tables along the the walls for larger parties. I assume if you have a large party you might be able to make a reservation. We only had a party of 4, so no reservations. When ordering we maxed out all the limit 1s for the table. We do order many items at once, but we also found ourselves having to follow up on some of our orders that we were waiting for. The lady who was our waitress at the beginning all of suddenly disappeared. There was no communication from staff that either she was on a break or was done with her shift. We never saw her afterwards. We found ourselves asking other staff members if we can order more food with them. That was a huge disappointment in customer service. The inside decor was very hip and modern. Their music selection has a variety of genres from old songs, disco songs to edm and pop. They do play a short happy birthday song when it's someone's birthday. The booth tables are setup with one hot pot at each table for everyone to share. That means your party has to decide on one broth for the whole table. We got the spicy tonkatsu. The hot pot is set on one side of the table, closer to the wall. I personally didn't like that setup because the outer 2 ppl have to reach over to get their serving of soup. We prefer having our own individual hot pots or maybe the hot pots need to be moved to the center of the table for easy access for everyone. Overall our experience was okay.
