Really great experience! The food was delicious and everything we tried was fresh and flavorful. I especially liked that the portions were just right ... not too big, so you can actually try a lot of different dishes without getting full too quickly. The nigiri was also perfect because they use a smaller amount of rice, so you can enjoy more pieces and focus on the fish instead of filling up on rice. Great idea, especially if you like trying different kinds of sushi. The prices are very reasonable for the quality and variety of food. Our server was also very helpful, friendly, and genuinely eager to help us with anything we needed. Overall, great food, great service, great portions, and great value. Definitely a place I'd come back to again!
Came to this establishment on a busy day, but checked in with the server to get our names on the list. This place is small compared to most places I've been to, there was not much of a waiting area either. If you have children do not bring a stroller in, because it will not fit at all. After 30 mins of waiting, we were finally seated. I received a text through their waiting service that my table was ready. The table had to be broken into 2 so four of us sat on one table and the others sat across, guess the table was stationary possibly because of the stove. Not sure if it was the heat from the stove, but it was pretty hot in there. Maybe the ac wasn't strong or they had the temp higher than usual, but I was sweating while eating my meal. After sitting down, we ordered as soon as we could. Of course we wanted to try the higher end of the menu since we were celebrating, and we wanted to try the volcano hot pot. I thought the volcano hot pot was ok, it was advertised as Wagyu but the meat kinda tasted tough. We tried all premium items that were limited to one per person and they were all ok. The nigiri's were good, but nothing mind blowing. The flavors for the sushi's were good, not overly sweet on sauces. Thought this place was ok, and it is quite cramped. Don't think I'll return though.
Great deal after 9 pm! We did the ayce for $26.95 which includes sushi and meat. Our server, Kevin, was super nice and attentive. Both the sushi and meat were good for ayce. This is located in a plaza with parking in front. Ambiance is updated, modern, with good music. I'd recommend and be back!
Trying out this spot in Vegas called Sumo Hotpot and Sushi, and yes I am having it during summertime. I can eat hot pot any time of year, and I was craving something soupy. So decided to come here after looking at all the amazing photos on Yelp. For the soup base, we got the original and the number 1, the volcano wagyu beef, which comes with Napa cabbage, bean sprouts, mushrooms, and Bok choy. You can also order a side of vegetables which we did. Overall the sushi was super fresh as well. I would totally come back because the service was fast and the food was actually pretty good! The inside is a tad small so you might have to wait a while depending on the time you come. But totally worth it

The staff here in general were great. We went with the Volcano Wagyu Beef Hot Pot which was surprisingly good. Make sure you use the dipping from the silver bottle on the table; the beef goes so good with it. We also ordered a number of items on the chef's special menu (each item limit 1 per person). The wagyu beef nigiri, omakase sashimi, and truffle butter scallop (fried) were good. The pacific oyster was also very fresh. All the nigiri was very fresh and there was more fish to rice ratio which was nice. My personal favorites were garlic tuna, Aomori scallop, and freshwater eel. We also ordered half rolls of Bruno Mars Special roll and the Chanel roll. Both were pretty good.
Sumo has very solid sushi and hot pot. The restaurant is clean and open, service was great, and food quality was excellent for ayce The volcano Wagyu beef hot pot is their signature. It was very good, but I prefer a make your own. It was almost gimmicky The sushi was great ayce quality. The omakase plate presented beautifully All the apps are fantastic. My favorites include the tempura, mussels, Iberico pork, and karaage. I'm excited to go back to try more Overall, very solid and I'll be going back
After we waited at the other place we wanted to try, we ended leaving because of customer service. And we came to try this place! We, a party of 8, were greeted and seated right away! We were provided menus and asked if we'd been here before which we have not. The waiter explained that everything off the menu could be ordered and a few items were limited to one time order per person. We had both the hotpot and several rolls of sushi! I couldn't tell you when sushi rolls my children all ate because we ended up eating a total of about 25 rolls plus two hot pot (tonkatsu, and tonkatsu spicy--which was not spicy at all). We also had several appetizers: karaage chicken, gyoza, green baked mussels, softshell crab, tuna carpaccio and others like shrimp tempura. Note that they do not do sashimi by itself when I asked. While the hotpot pot itself was smaller compared to the other hotpot only places, it was the right amount because they came to refill the broth as it simmered down. We got plenty rounds of wagyu beef (2 types of cut) and pork belly. We asked for only enoki mushrooms although the menu only showed vegetable platter as an option but our waiter made it happen anyway! Note that the hotpot comes out with vegetables and meat already in the pot then they pour the broth over it so bubble for you. You only have 2 types of hotpot to select from: wagyy beef or seafood. Wagyu beef one comes with your choice of broth. The seafood one does not. This place can be pricey since we were a large party. All my children except the 5 year old were charged at adult pricing. I would say my boys ate their cost and more. My girls didn't eat their cost but my boys made up for it. Note that they did not automatically attach gratuity for our large party. My kids who used the restrooms reported they were with stalls, allowing more than one of them use if needed. The staff was very attentive. One would come clear off the table as they saw empty plates. The waiter came by several times to check in and ask for more orders. He was nice and friendly. They were never rude to us or other customers. Overall, this was a great experience. If you enjoy hotpot but also enjoy sushi or vice versa, this is a great place to dine in. Note that my experience was on a Sunday afternoon around 1-2 pm. Our damage was about 280 before gratuity/tip. We estimated that if you are a sushi roll at an average of 15 dollars, we ate 25 rolls, it would have costed us 375 already without the consideration of the hotpots and all the appetizers! Note that we only ordered water for our beverages. Overall, they are doing things right at this place if hotpot (Japanese style---think basic brothes instead of Chinese Szechuan pepper hot) and/or sushi is your thing! I didn't take many pictures because I was too busy eating!
Hotpot and sushi!!! Sign me up!! This place is the best! I love sushi and hotpot. Having both available for me in a great price is just out of this world! Quality is good for both sushi and hotpot meats. I like to get the sukiyaki broth and it was delicious. The restaurant is a good nice but not big. The service was good but staff are not friendly but they are attentive. I highly recommend this place!
Amazing! Food is quick to replenish where I didn't have to look for them even one time. Service was awesome where I didn't feel overwhelmed either. Quality of food is on par with Ayce places. Ambiance is better than most sushi restaurants minus fine dining but definitely better than most AYCE places. Good enough for a date night for sure. The price is also very reasonable for: sushi including nigiri/carpaccio, typical sushi appetizer, Korean bbq sizzling plates like Kalbi, and wagyu beef for hotpot. The only thing I can see improvement on is more variety like Korean bbq, and more cuts of wagyu to choose from. However for what you get, I believe you already get plenty of bang for your buck. Would I come back? Hell yeah!
Service was well, our waiter Ryan was VERY kind and help with his recommendations and consideration of the table. Water was kept up and the food was flowing consistently :) Was a 9/10 table service! Soup was mid 5/10 The music was little too loud, but the seat was nice and a good vibe inside. Seating wasn't too close at all either. (They also sing you happy birthday too!) Yayyy 9/10 experience overall
After a long drive from California and scrolling through Reels, I saw one about Sumo Sushi Kevin and his colleagues took our orders and food came out promptly. They checked in with us & kept our drinks filled. We ordered the House Special broth for the Hotpot and many rolls. Our favorites were the I Wagyu Roll, Kaarage Chicken, Baked Lobster Roll, Agedashi Tofu, Orange Blossom Roll. Definitely will come back - good service & delicious food!
We came here on a Monday expecting to pay AYCE weekday price of around $28, however when we sat down we were told that we would be charged for all day price of $37 because it's "post EDC" which was kind of dumb in our opinion. We were wondering if they were charging everyone the "post EDC" price or if they were just assuming whoever looked like they went were charged. We had a party of 13 and decided to just stay to make things easier. Food, selection/variety, and service was good. The salmon pops were our favorite! All the tuna dishes were our least favorite, didn't taste fresh/good. We were also missing the mushroom being wrapped for our sukiyaki and told the waiter, but he just said "oh you're missing it?" and didn't even bring us the missing mushroom or say anything about it. Would maybe come back just not during EDC weekend.
It really is worthy of 5 stars which I rarely give...since I cannot find any faults for this $40 AYCE. Fish is not mushy nor fishy, deep fried goods done just right even oil used is fresh! Food came out fast, beautiful plate presentation! Finished plates P/u constantly with a smile and staff came around to refill water. When we ask for the bill, our waiter said we should order dessert first, even encouraged us to order one each instead of sharing!! I ate mine, did not waste any food throughout Highly recommend.....

Came here with family during Labor Day weekend. Didn't realize last call was at 11pm but they still seated our party of 10 around 10:45pm. They accommodated our party very quickly and the food just kept coming. They extended our orders another 15mins. Our servers delivered excellent service and the food was amazing. Definitely coming again. read more

The dimly modern decorated Japanese vibe of this place is cool, it makes it cozy, and inviting. The service was fast and friendly. The food was good with some interesting mixes, the only thing I wish they had was fresh garlic and jalapeños or some chili oil. Overall we were satisfied and had a great time. read more

It's getting harder to find good deals in Vegas, so an all you can eat sushi and hot pot experience for $36.95 is pretty great. We came for an early dinner on a Sunday and there was no wait. The inside has a modern Japanese feel with wooden tables and benches. Not the most comfortable but that's okay. They started us quickly with the Wagyu Volcano Beef Hot Pot. It was presented beautifully but the meat wasn't the best quality even though it's supposed to be wagyu. The refill plate of Beef Belly, however, was good. There's a lot on their menu. We made sure to try most of the items with an "A" which can only be ordered once per person. Sadly, the Crispy Toro Rice was too hard and the Cucumber Salad was too vinegary. The Ribeye Garlic Steak was surprisingly tasty and came on a sizzling plate. The Salmon Collar was pretty good too. An entire side of their menu is dedicated to sushi. All of the Carpaccios and were good, but the yellowtail was the best. The Omakase Sashimi was a pretty box of fresh fish. I wish all the rolls came with 4 pcs so we could try more. The I Heart Wagyu Beef and Miyabi rolls weren't bad but came with 8 pcs and we grew tired of them. Like most ayce places, you get 90 min. to eat but I didn't feel rushed here and the service was great. It's a little far if you're staying on the strip but I'd try it again if someone else wanted to come here. read more

Sumo Hotpot and Sushi was an excellent experience. Kevin provided great service and made our visit even better. We ordered the Hotpot Volcano with the house signature broth, along with skewers and nigiri--everything was fresh, flavorful, and satisfying. The combination of hotpot and sushi makes this a great spot for a fun meal with lots of variety. We'll definitely be back and highly recommend it! read more
Sumo Hotpot and Sushi was better than other Dragon Factory restaurants that I've been to. Our strategy was simple. We ordered almost anything that was one per table, or one per person. They started us with the wagyu volcano hotpot. The wagyu volcano was a pile of vegetables with meat on top...supposedly wagyu meat. The meat didn't look like A5 wagyu, maybe American wagyu or fake wagyu. Refills of meat were available for the hotpot. The sushi was okay. The fish was fresh. The grilled beef skewers were good. Service was good. The waitress serving us was nice and attentive. They didn't "last call" me after 45 minutes like at one of Dragon Factory's other restaurants. The wait staff did not rush us to leave nor tell us that our time was almost up. I might be back. read more

Came back due to the amazing experience I had during their grand opening. However service was lacking this time. We had asked them 3 times for the order of fish and they forgot until the very end once we were all full. The fish was definitely fresh however the meat this time was pretty bad. Especially the beef that they market as "wagyu". The waygu carpaccio and anything that had raw wagyu was really chewy and not good. One thing that caught me by surprise was that the truffle fries were really good lol. I know who goes to ayce to get fries but def try that! Overall service was disappointing this time and the meat was not good. Presentation was still nice especially for their hot pot. read more

There was a little hiccup today when we arrived. No power and we had to wait an extra 15 minute for them to open. But all is hoof now, we went inside and theres AC. Thank goodness! We were greeted by Kevin and ordered a quick round since we couldn't make up our minds. We went with the 26.95 option for lunch. Got a quick agedashi tofu and that was really good. Like everyone said the super white tuna is terrific and must get. Would add the yellowtail and salmon to the favorites as well. I would skip the regular tuna. $36.95 for All Day AYCE is perfect! The Volcano hot pot with Spicy Seafood broth was nice and savory. The Wagyu skewers were good! Now the sushi fish was unexpectedly decently good! Considering the price I didn't think it'd be that good. My favorite was the Amaebi nigiri. The place was packed on a Monday night. Service was good and the food came out really fast! The restaurant felt cozy. Super recommend for and off strip back side of Chinatown spot! Ask for Alex and Kevin! read more
A small restaurant, but it can sit up to 5-6 people comfortably. Our servers Nini and Ann were excellent. The food comes out pretty quickly and the servers come back to check on us often. We had kids with us so we tried the lunch. I really liked the agedashi tofu, I haven't had one this good in a long time. The house broth was good for the hot pot. The skewers were unexpectedly good. I tried the spider roll, but the rice was too squished and compressed for my liking, so we didn't try any other rolls. A great place if you like great service and a large variety of food. read more

Came with a group. Space is great for up to 4 and possibly more if you call ahead of time. Would come back. Flavor is there. So many options. Service is quick. Price point cannot be beat. 4/5 overall but because of the price and service, would say 5/5 F O O D House signature broth - great choice so the soup base doesnt cover the flavor of the wagyu beef :) Bulgolgi: weird (personal preference- I dont love marinated meats in soup. Confusing for my taste buds) Brisket: okay. Not very fatty. Too lean that its like jerky (even when undercooked) Hotpot comes with a ton of veggies (dont love that bc its sucks all the soup and concentrates the soup base, making the base salty). I understand the presentation looked amazing but practically, meh Tofu: 10/10 must have. So flavorful Wagyu beef belly: 10/10 such great cut Fried oysters: 10/10 (i dont like fried oysters usually) Crispy toro rice: meh but the toro was good. The crispy rice was too thick Soft shell crab: 6/10 batter is too thick but flavor was good Shrimp tempura: amazing. Dipping sauce delicious Ribeye garlic steak 10/10: juicy Honey iberico pork 8.5/10 because its dry..wasnt juicy. But flavor was there The skewers were really dry. Flavor was good, especially the shrimp. You cant go wrong with any of the chefs specials!! They were all amazing!! Sumo is one of our favorite AYCE sushi and hotpot. We had an amazing experience with the ambience, food, and service. We also were able to make reservation to beat the crowd. Or else the wait is at least 1 hour. The staff is very attentive and quick to take and serve our order asap. We were quite impressed with every dish we ordered. The presentation was amazing and the quality of the food they serve shows. The sushi here has more selections than the hotpot. However, it's a good balance for hot soup and sushi during your meal. The hotpot is also different. They pile slices of beef, and marinated beef, and veggie before they bring out the huge pot and pour the soup base into the pot while it cooks. While the pot is cooking, you can stop eating sushi since they serve the dishes pretty fast. Overall, they offer a wide selection and the price is very affordable for the amazing experience and worth coming back again. read more
This restaurant has hot pot, skewers, AND sushi! The menu is so extensive. What our table did was order all the "A" (one time only) items first. We started with a spicy tonkotsu broth that reminded me of kimchijiggae. The hot pot tower was cool and tasted good. Then the items kept coming, and I got full really quickly. The beef tongue skewers were the best. I would have preferred no sauce on the shrimp skewers, but there was some mayo glaze on it. The presentation of all the food was really great. My family came here for lunch, and it was pretty busy , we were told there'd be a 45-minute wait. They don't take reservations, so we decided to patiently wait. Honestly, I'm really glad we did. At $36.95 for AYCE this is a steal in Vegas. I've paid double or triple at other buffets and the food wasn't nearly as good. The sashimi box was impressively fresh from the very first bite. The hotpot was also a highlight , thin, tender slices of meat and plenty of vegetables. I'm usually not a big fan of hotpot, but my daughter loves it, and we were both very satisfied. The grilled skewers were another great bonus. The service was friendly and attentive without being intrusive. They checked in often and gave helpful recommendations. I chose this place after looking at online reviews and noticed they had a lunch/late night special $26.95 after 9pm. We both went on a weekday night and was seated quickly. The wagyu volcano beef hotpot was their signature hotpot item and very iconic! Our server was Donita and she was absolutely amazing! Her hospitality, attention to detail, and quick service was definitely 5/5! The food quality was alright for the hot pot beef and nigiri. Their diverse options for handrolls were impressive and served as the highlight of the dinner. If you post on social media or leave a Yelp review with your servers name, you can roll a dice for a chance to get a free AYCE meal. I was able to get 10% off which was super nice. If you're looking for a high-quality Japanese AYCE spot without breaking the bank, Sumo Hotpot, Yakitori & Wagyu with Sushi AYCE is such a great find! For less than $40 per person, the value is honestly amazing. They offer a Wagyu beef fountain (yes, a fountain ), super tender and rich. The pork belly was flavorful and perfectly sliced for hotpot. The omakase sashimi was fresh and beautifully presented, and the uni nigiri was definitely a highlight -- creamy, sweet, and just melts in your mouth. There are also plenty of other premium sushi options, and everything we tried was consistently good. The restaurant has a nice Japanese-themed decoration that makes the whole dining experience feel special, and the service was excellent -- attentive and friendly throughout the meal. We discovered Sumo Hotpot & Sushi during our trip to Las Vegas, and it turned out to be one of our favorite AYCE spots! I really liked how the seating areas are separated, giving each table a more private and comfortable dining experience. The service was fast from start to finish, and the staff were friendly, attentive, and patient in answering our questions. Their all-day AYCE menu offers an impressive variety of options--definitely more selections than many other places we've tried. The sushi was fresh, flavorful, and never dry, while the meats were tender, juicy, and perfect for hot pot. If you're looking for a great all-you-can-eat hot pot and sushi restaurant in Vegas with excellent food, quick service, and a comfortable atmosphere, Sumo Hotpot & Sushi is definitely worth checking out. Another great AYCE sushi spot in Vegas, expect here they also offer shabu!! The restaurant is relatively small so be prepared to wait if you're coming during prime dinner time! But I would say the wait was faster than Neko sushi. Eating Shabu is challenging with a baby but eating sushi was manageable. They have high chairs but since the place is small it was slightly cramp to put the high chair in the aisle. They have premium items that the servers were really good and quick to bring out. Shout out to our server (didn't catch his name but he was pretty boss) for maxing out all our special item with limited quantities to make it easier for us. Besides sushi and shabu, they also offer skewer/yakitori. Literally a hodgepodge of Japanese eats, which is great! The quality of the sushi was pretty decent for AYCE as well. At the end, they offer dessert. The yuzu sorbet was too sour and artificial tasting for me. The affogato looked pretty good though. Overall, I'm glad we decided to try Sumo hotpot and sushi out of all the different options available in the area. read more
We came here based not just glowing Yelp reviews, but also recommended by our niece. The wait on a Saturday night was 1.5 hours which I guess is normal. We opted for the AYCE option which seems to be what everyone was getting. The wagyu volcano came out first, then we ordered several nigiri sushi and blue tuna handrolls. The quality of the fish was good, especially the tuna and salmon belly. The uni however, according to my wife, was not fresh. We also ordered the oyster which was good, the one bite wagyu was different and not to our taste. We also ordered other assorted sushi and they were okay. For me, the best part was the hotpot. We opted for the sukiyaki sauce which was delicious. The meats were tender but what I really enjoyed were the vegetables and mushrooms which soaked in the flavors. Overall, the sushi was good but not better than other AYCE places, but the hotpot was very good. We didn't try a lot of things on the menu that looked interesting, so maybe next time we will do that. Restaurant was small and a bit dark, and service was very good. Don't forget to order the affogato dessert! read more

Excellent hot pot experience! The ingredients were incredibly fresh, especially the fish, which was tender, flavorful, and high quality. The broth was delicious, and there was a great selection of meats, seafood, and vegetables to choose from.
