Although tiny cattle is known for the bbq, the hot pot is equally as good. They always have tables available, which is nice since you can walk in whenever you're craving! The meat is very fresh as well as the veggies. My favorite soup base is tomato, oxtail broth. It has so much depth and flavor and has a bit of delicious tender oxtail inside. For veggies, we want to get the mushroom platter as well as the veggie platter carrot with some shrimp paste and potato noodle. They also have a full size bar, so you create any dipping sauce you like. The quality of the meat was honestly so good too. Everything was super tender, flavorful, and melted in your mouth. What surprised me the most though was how solid the sushi was. Usually AYCE spots are either good at hot pot or sushi, but the salmon carpaccio was actually so good and all of the rolls and handrolls were really quality. I was especially obsessed with the unagi handroll. The desserts weren't my favorite part of the meal, but they definitely looked cute. As a hot pot fiend, I had to come back to my favorite spot. Jia and Nell always take care of me, and their warm personalities make the warm soup even more comforting and satisfying. The beef belly and lamb are always my go-tos in the tomato oxtail broth. Whenever they have the golden chicken broth, I HIGHLY recommend getting that. I also recommend the meatballs and vegetable combos. The decor is elegant and the ambiance is very social and chic. The revolving conveyor belt is iconic so make sure to try some items from there (you don't have to be sitting next to it to grab items). I had been a loyal customer and had enjoyed dining here many times, which makes this experience even more disappointing. Three weeks ago, my bill was $178, and I left a $25 cash tip on the table. A few days later, I checked my bank account and discovered I had been charged $215 instead. I never authorized that additional tip. I called the restaurant and was told they "didn't find" the cash tip. They promised to refund the overcharge within 3-4 days, but weeks later, I still haven't received anything. At this point, it's not about the $20-30. It's about honesty and accountability. Customers should never be charged extra without their authorization, and promises to fix the issue should be kept. This experience has completely changed my opinion of this restaurant. I hope management takes this seriously so it doesn't happen to anyone else. read more

Chubby Cattle is a really great hot pot (or hardy Soup) restaurant located in Chinatown. Most of the soup bases do contain pork but non pork eaters still have a lot to choose from. You adorn your soup pot with a great variety of add ons. The small size add ons are plenty for two people. Two people don't need the large size add ons. You also use the condiment bar to embellish your soup a little further. Most of the seating is booth seating. The tables have electric soup wells to keep your soup boiling hot. They also have bar seating. I forgot to mention that they also have moving conveyer belts with bowls of food that you can also add on. We had different Hot Pot Soups but both of us were surprised on how good tasting they were (House Original Hot Pot and Vegan Beautiful Tomato). Then we added several add ons. tomatoes, baby corn, noodles, potatoes, pumpkin, mushrooms, wagyu brisket, flounder. Some things cooked up very fast and some things like the potato and pumpkin took a very long time to cook. I had a little trouble with my hot pot because the tomato soup is sweeter depending on what you add the bottom starts to burn. The only add on that I wouldn't recommend was the flounder. It cooked up nicely but had a fishy taste. It was still edible but wasn't so good. Our server was very nice and helpful. He also cleared plates quickly. Stopped by Chubby Cattle in Vegas around 7:30pm on a Saturday night and were seated right away. The restaurant is pretty spacious with plenty of seats. We sat near a conveyor belt and had individual hot pots. You order à la carte with the waiter, and if you want extra sides, you can grab them directly from the conveyor belt. WARNING: I almost choked to death here after consuming the "numbing oil" from the sauce bar, and I genuinely believe the restaurant needs to make the risks much clearer. I came here for dinner with friends a few nights ago. It was my second time visiting. After ordering, I went to the sauce bar and decided to make the suggested "Chubby Sauce." The sign listed ingredients, but there were no measurements or warnings explaining how potent the numbing oil was. Since there were no instructions, I added a spoonful of each ingredient and mixed it together. When our food arrived, I dipped my first bite of meat into the sauce and swallowed it. Within seconds, my throat felt completely paralyzed. I suddenly could not swallow or breathe, and I couldn't feel my mouth or throat. I panicked and tried to get my friends' attention while struggling for air. my friend's boyfriend eventually got up and began performing the Heimlich maneuver on me while the entire restaurant watched. Something came out of my throat, but I still could not breathe. I genuinely thought I was dying. I started blacking out. At that point, a server came over and immediately asked if I had consumed the numbing oil. I shook my head yes because I still could barely breathe or speak. Someone nearby called 911. After another attempt at the Heimlich maneuver, I threw up at the table and was finally able to breathe again. Our server was kind and helped clean everything up, but no manager ever came to check on me, no one followed up afterward, and nothing about the situation was addressed. I sat there in complete shock and tears while we finished the meal, and we were still charged full price at the end. I truly believe the sauce station needs clearer measurements and warnings. I later learned the numbing oil is extremely potent and should only be used in very small amounts... not spoonfuls. The current sign gives no indication of that whatsoever. I've tried calling the restaurant multiple times to warn them and encourage them to fix this before it happens to someone else, but nobody answers the phone. I'm posting a photo of the sign because I genuinely think this setup is dangerous. If my friend's boyfriend had not performed the Heimlich maneuver on me, I honestly do not think I would have made it out of that restaurant alive. If you like Chubby Cattle (or any of the other restaurants in the Chubby Group like Mikiya, Chubby Skewer, Chubby BBQ), it's worth getting the higher tier membership, it generally pays for itself within 2-3 visits and you can use your benefits at all their restaurants. Chubby Cattle has excellent broth (we're obsessed with the tomato oxtail), a robust sauce bar that has everything I could want, and good quality meat that's tender and delicious, never tough or sinewy. A lot of the other hot pot places we've had usually hit 2/3 or all 3, but are significantly more expensive (looking at u, Hai Di Lao). We came the other day since we were craving it, and had excellent service from Nell even though it was super busy! She was super attentive, thoughtful, and knowledgeable of the current promos and meats. She was always on top of our order and making sure waters and broth kept getting refilled They currently have a great deal where for membership ($30) you get BOGO any meat order so it basically paid for itself and more. Unfortunately, the experience was disappointing. When I arrived, I found out that duck blood was no longer available on the menu. While I understand that it's not a popular food for everyone, it was one of the main reasons I chose this restaurant. To make matters worse, the waitress informed me that they were also out of lotus root, along with two other menu items. What frustrated me most was that the restaurant wasn't busy at all, and it was still early in the evening. I don't understand how they're out of it, unless they never restock them. For a hotpot restaurant, ingredient availability is a big part of the experience. This is not an all-you-can-eat restaurant--you order item by item--but the prices are surprisingly reasonable for the quality you get. The meat is excellent, and everything always comes out super fresh. My favorite soup base is the tomato oxtail broth--rich, flavorful, and so comforting. One thing that really stood out to me is the pricing. Coke is only $2.50, and honestly, where else can you find that price these days? I really appreciate little things like that. If you love meat, you have to get the $24.99 wagyu combo. It's such a good deal for the quality, and the meat was absolutely delicious. I loved it so much and would order it again without hesitation. I've been here numerous times but kept forgetting to leave a review--this place truly deserves it. They do take reservations, which is very convenient. If you have a Chubby Cattle membership, it's even cheaper because you get multiple free items, making the value even better. The food is consistently delicious and fresh, which is why I keep coming back. The only downside is that they seem a bit understaffed at times--I did have to wait a while for help--but it didn't ruin the experience. This is ONLY Hot Pot, that is not AYCE like other Chubby Cattle locations. Some of the photos uploaded on this page are not accurate. It could be mixed up with the other Chubby Cattle Las Vegas. The Yelp page for this business alone can be misleading. This place is only à la carte or order their set package menu which I do not find it worth it at all. At other Chubby Cattle locations, you can tell you are paying for the quality and service. This location has either gone down hill, but it is not comparable to other Chubby Cattle that I have been to that is top notch service and quality. Yelp waitlist said it would be 18-30 mins to be seated. It was more like an hour wait. We ordered the set package for 2 that was $99. We had a vegetable plate that was loaded with all sorts of mushrooms, 2 options for meat (we ordered ribeye), their A5 Wagyu dipped with egg, a sad looking seafood platter, a bland bowl of bibimbap that came out when we were pretty much done with our food. We passed on the dessert, which was a Melona ice cream bar. Not many broth options. I was disappointed knowing this is not the Chubby Cattle I was looking forward to. Parking is a pain to find, but it was expected during peak time. If you are patient to look for parking, have mediocre quality food with a price that's not AYCE and also not BBQ as labeled on their Yelp page, feel free to give it a try. It is pretty unusual for me to put the time to rate any negative reviews, but I have to make sure others don't fall into the same experience as I have had if you have dined at other Chubby Cattle locations. We have tried Mikiya in Santa Clara, Chubby Cattle Bbq in Rowland Heights, the time has come to try Chubby Cattle Hot Pot in Las Vegas. We arrived when they opened and they seemed busy with doing videography as they had a whole crew with cameras and lights. It took a bit to seat us even though we were the only party. We got a private booth next to the conveyor belt and chose the numbing spicy tomato broth, tomato broth and house special broth. We got several orders of the meat sampler, various pork cuts, beef cuts, mushroom combo and napa. The meats were quite high quality and were delightful with each bite. The broths were VERY strong and salty here, so we were downing several cups of water during this meal. The numbing spice is no joke. I dipped one piece of meat in there and my mouth was on fire for ten minutes. I surely suffered consequences later lol. My SO suffered consequences at a larger magnitude as he ate half of his food items on that side. Overall, still worth it. My favorites were the tomato broth and the house special broth. Mmm the meats were top-tier! Veggies, on the other hand, were a different experience. The napa seemed old and was very bitter. It's a first to have bitter napa.
