Although tiny cattle is known for the bbq, the hot pot is equally as good. They always have tables available, which is nice since you can walk in whenever you're craving! The meat is very fresh as well as the veggies. My favorite soup base is tomato, oxtail broth. It has so much depth and flavor and has a bit of delicious tender oxtail inside. For veggies, we want to get the mushroom platter as well as the veggie platter carrot with some shrimp paste and potato noodle. They also have a full size bar, so you create any dipping sauce you like. They even have a conveyor belt that you can pull additional toppings off, like tofu skin, sweet potato, and many other choices. I am becoming a regular here!

Okay wait... Chubby Cattle might actually be my new favorite AYCE spot. I tried the milk tea and it was alright, but the side dishes bar completely impressed me. There were so many options and everything felt really well done. The wagyu selection here is kind of insane, so naturally we ended up ordering basically all of them. The quality of the meat was honestly so good too. Everything was super tender, flavorful, and melted in your mouth. What surprised me the most though was how solid the sushi was. Usually AYCE spots are either good at hot pot or sushi, but the salmon carpaccio was actually so good and all of the rolls and handrolls were really quality. I was especially obsessed with the unagi handroll. The desserts weren't my favorite part of the meal, but they definitely looked cute. Overall though, I'm genuinely impressed with the quality here and I already know I'm going to be back.

Chubby Cattle is a really great hot pot (or hardy Soup) restaurant located in Chinatown. Most of the soup bases do contain pork but non pork eaters still have a lot to choose from. You adorn your soup pot with a great variety of add ons. The small size add ons are plenty for two people. Two people don't need the large size add ons. You also use the condiment bar to embellish your soup a little further. Most of the seating is booth seating. The tables have electric soup wells to keep your soup boiling hot. They also have bar seating. I forgot to mention that they also have moving conveyer belts with bowls of food that you can also add on. We had different Hot Pot Soups but both of us were surprised on how good tasting they were (House Original Hot Pot and Vegan Beautiful Tomato). Then we added several add ons. tomatoes, baby corn, noodles, potatoes, pumpkin, mushrooms, wagyu brisket, flounder. Some things cooked up very fast and some things like the potato and pumpkin took a very long time to cook. I had a little trouble with my hot pot because the tomato soup is sweeter depending on what you add the bottom starts to burn. The only add on that I wouldn't recommend was the flounder. It cooked up nicely but had a fishy taste. It was still edible but wasn't so good. Our server was very nice and helpful. He also cleared plates quickly. Pro Tip - Chinatown is the least busy Sunday Lunchtime - Get there early and you will probably get in.

As a hot pot fiend, I had to come back to my favorite spot. Jia and Nell always take care of me, and their warm personalities make the warm soup even more comforting and satisfying. The beef belly and lamb are always my go-tos in the tomato oxtail broth. Whenever they have the golden chicken broth, I HIGHLY recommend getting that. I also recommend the meatballs and vegetable combos. The decor is elegant and the ambiance is very social and chic. The revolving conveyor belt is iconic so make sure to try some items from there (you don't have to be sitting next to it to grab items). Eating in is definitely an experience, and with great servers, it's the best for a date night or a celebration! Thank you Jia and Nell!

Stopped by Chubby Cattle in Vegas around 7:30pm on a Saturday night and were seated right away. The restaurant is pretty spacious with plenty of seats. We sat near a conveyor belt and had individual hot pots. You order à la carte with the waiter, and if you want extra sides, you can grab them directly from the conveyor belt. They also have a sauce bar, so you can mix and match your own dipping sauces. The meat quality is really good, making the hot pot experience even better.

Before today, I had only tried Chubby Cattle's barbecue grill restaurants in Southern California. Although this location is not all-you-can-eat, I was truly impressed by the freshness of the ingredients and the generous portions of meat included in the combo meal. The staff were extremely friendly and patiently explained how everything worked, which made the experience even better. Another big plus was that the combo meal also included cocktails and ice cream--definitely a nice treat. Recommended dishes: Assorted Mushroom Pot, Seafood Combo Platter, Japanese A5 Wagyu with Egg, Meatballs, Spicy Soup, Hot Pot Sauce Bar, Combo for 2, Beef Brisket Parking: * Plenty of free parking available * Parking can get very crowded during dinner time, so arriving a bit earlier in the evening is recommended to secure a spot

We keep trying other places, but we always come back to Chubby Cattle... We have the higher tier of membership so we get 2 free broths and other goodies with each visit! When they were doing their BOGO free meat promo with membership, we were here like 2x a week lol. If you like Chubby Cattle (or any of the other restaurants in the Chubby Group like Mikiya, Chubby Skewer, Chubby BBQ), it's worth getting the higher tier membership, it generally pays for itself within 2-3 visits and you can use your benefits at all their restaurants. Chubby Cattle has excellent broth (we're obsessed with the tomato oxtail), a robust sauce bar that has everything I could want, and good quality meat that's tender and delicious, never tough or sinewy. A lot of the other hot pot places we've had usually hit 2/3 or all 3, but are significantly more expensive (looking at u, Hai Di Lao). We came the other day since we were craving it, and had excellent service from Nell even though it was super busy! She was super attentive, thoughtful, and knowledgeable of the current promos and meats. If you have her as your server, you're in good hands :) Will definitely be back as long as they keep up with the quality and taste (and bring back the BOGO meat promo at some point PLSSSSS)!

If you're craving high-quality hot pot with great service and a fun, interactive experience, Chubby Cattle never misses. From the moment we walked in, the staff was welcoming and attentive, walking us through the menu and making sure we understood the broth and meat options. The ordering process is smooth, and everything comes out fresh, well-presented, and fast. The broths are rich and flavorful without being overwhelming, and the variety of meats is where Chubby Cattle really shines. The cuts were tender, well-marbled, and cooked perfectly in the broth. The sauce bar had plenty of options to customize your dip exactly how you like it -- which is half the fun of hot pot. Portions were generous, and everything felt clean and high quality. It's definitely a great spot for a date night, group dinner, or when you just want something comforting but still elevated. Yes, it can get busy, but it's worth it. If you're a hot pot lover (or even a first-timer), this is a solid go-to spot in Vegas that delivers every time. Pro tip: Go hungry and take your time -- it's an experience, not a rush meal.

Chubby Cattle has individual and family sized sharing pots. Not all tables accommodate the family-sized sharing pots, so it'd be good to let your server know if you'd want that option. We ordered a variety of plates to share - assorted vegetables, assorted homemade meatballs, assorted seafood, lamb and beef plate, and beef tongue. Quality was good! For recommendations: - Any of the noodles (egg noodles and spinach noodles were so bouncy and chewy). - Hand-made meatballs combo - Wagyu short rib - Tomato Oxtail Pot Parking sucks in this lot so you may need to park in the plaza across the street (Teso Life / 168 Market plaza) and walk over. There weren't many servers/waitresses there, so service was slow.. they were doing the best they could. And for sauces - they have a sauce bar! I recommend making a sauce with: sesame oil (a little), soy sauce, Chinese bbq sauce, sugar, oyster sauce, ponzu (lots of this), sesame sauce, peanut sauce, cilantro, and green onions!

Food quality, service etiquette, and quaint ambiance is always consistent here! Kevin made my lunch experience another incredible one that left me so satisfied! Service is always friendly despite how busy, but Kevin made the service top tier today. The quality of the broth selection and consistency of how attentive and great everything here is from service to all meat, veggies, sides quality makes it 5 stars every time. So thankful to have this location here so close to home! I'll always be back for the best mongolian hot pot in Vegas.

Ingredient list for chubby sauce that has no measurement, which is extremely dangerous with ingredients like numbing oil
    Amy J.

WARNING: I almost choked to death here after consuming the "numbing oil" from the sauce bar, and I genuinely believe the restaurant needs to make the risks much clearer. I came here for dinner with friends a few nights ago. It was my second time visiting. After ordering, I went to the sauce bar and decided to make the suggested "Chubby Sauce." The sign listed ingredients, but there were no measurements or warnings explaining how potent the numbing oil was. Since there were no instructions, I added a spoonful of each ingredient and mixed it together. When our food arrived, I dipped my first bite of meat into the sauce and swallowed it. Within seconds, my throat felt completely paralyzed. I suddenly could not swallow or breathe, and I couldn't feel my mouth or throat. I panicked and tried to get my friends' attention while struggling for air. my friend's boyfriend eventually got up and began performing the Heimlich maneuver on me while the entire restaurant watched. Something came out of my throat, but I still could not breathe. I genuinely thought I was dying. I started blacking out. At that point, a server came over and immediately asked if I had consumed the numbing oil. I shook my head yes because I still could barely breathe or speak. Someone nearby called 911. After another attempt at the Heimlich maneuver, I threw up at the table and was finally able to breathe again. Our server was kind and helped clean everything up, but no manager ever came to check on me, no one followed up afterward, and nothing about the situation was addressed. I sat there in complete shock and tears while we finished the meal, and we were still charged full price at the end. I truly believe the sauce station needs clearer measurements and warnings. I later learned the numbing oil is extremely potent and should only be used in very small amounts... not spoonfuls. The current sign gives no indication of that whatsoever. I've tried calling the restaurant multiple times to warn them and encourage them to fix this before it happens to someone else, but nobody answers the phone. I'm posting a photo of the sign because I genuinely think this setup is dangerous. If my friend's boyfriend had not performed the Heimlich maneuver on me, I honestly do not think I would have made it out of that restaurant alive. What also disturbed me was that the server's first question was whether I had consumed the numbing oil, which made it seem like this may not have been the first time something like this has happened.

My second time visiting Chubby Cattle and I'm so happy this has become my new favorite hot pot spot. Every time I visit, the food is consistently good and the service is even better. Ann took care of us tonight and she was amazing. Truly the highlight of our experience. She was so kind and took the time to explain how everything works. She consistently checked up on us and made sure everything was tasting good. Definitely ask for Ann when you visit!! The entire place is such a vibe, including a really great playlist which we later found out was Ann's playlist! Can't wait for our next visit!

If you want the chubby/mikiya hot pot experience but without the ayce, this is the spot to do it. The chubby group meat quality is always good so it's def one of my go-tos for hot pot. The tomato oxtail broth was really good and had actual oxtail in it. Shout-out to Ann who provided great service. She was always on top of our order and making sure waters and broth kept getting refilled They currently have a great deal where for membership ($30) you get BOGO any meat order so it basically paid for itself and more. In the end we spent about 66/person but we had so much leftover that I had enough for another meal making it really $33/meal so it's def pretty good value. Overall, a great hotpot choice with good value

The baby back ribs were spot on, not overly sauced which allows you to sauce as you see fit with one of the many sauces they offer. Also a fairly large and comfortable indoor seating area. No pretensions about this place. As someone who has grilled a fair amount of ribs I was puzzled to see that they did not remove the thin membrane from the back of the ribs. In my experience this is a standard move. I'm sure they have their reasons but I'd prefer it be taken off before hand. A small complaint, but I have no doubt I'll return on my next Vegas trip in a couple months.

Ribs were very tender and paired nicely with the sauces. My favorite sauce was the sweet bbq. The cornbread was warm and had a cake like consistency which I loved. There were a few things we ordered that had potential like the brisket, baked beans, and koolaid. We asked for a leaner cut of brisket and while it was lean, it was not tender at all. If it were, I'd be willing to order again. The baked beans were a little too spicy for my preference and the koolaid barely had any sugar. I was not a fan of the greens, yams, loaded or mashed potatoes. The greens had an interesting flavor that none of us cared for, the yams still had skin pieces and outside of sugar didn't hold any flavor, and the mashed potatoes were bland. The restaurant itself is spacious. And the lady who rang up our order was really sweet and helpful. I also noticed they had an AYCE deal that sounded like a good price if all guests in your group are willing to commit.

When I got to the counter, I was told they only had three meats left: turkey, brisket, and pork ribs. There was no indication before ordering that choosing the smoked turkey would add $3.00 and the brisket would add $3.50. My $27 meal ended up costing $33.50 without any advance notice of the upcharges. I also ordered a side of coleslaw for $5.00, but it was left out of my order. I had to drive back to the restaurant to pick it up. While I was waiting, I noticed several flies around the front counter area where customers place their orders. Seeing flies around the food service area was concerning and made me wonder whether the same issue might exist in the food preparation area as well. Cleanliness is something I take seriously, and this definitely affected my confidence. To make matters worse, I was standing in line and ordered before a group ordered who came in after me and chose to eat on the patio. They received their food before I did. I then waited another 5 or more minutes before I finally received my meal. Good food is only part of the experience. Clear communication about menu upcharges, accurate orders, timely service, and a clean dining environment all matter. Unfortunately, this visit fell short in each of those areas. I hope the restaurant addresses these concerns because I really wanted to enjoy the experience after seeing it recommended on Nextdoor.

It's a cup of whipped cream with a scant few tablespoons of banana pudding at the bottom. SEVEN DOLLARS for this nonsense in 2026. It's not just a one time mistake. It's not just one bad employee. This is the second time I've had this and it's obvious that the Chef designed it this way. My guy, STOP SERVING IT or learn what it's SUPPOSED TO BE. This isn't molecular gastronomy. It's supposed to be poor people's food. Yes, you can elevate it, but don't gut its soul when you're doing it. You have no idea how taking this abomination to a church potluck would go for you, do you? The gossip would be *scathing*. Everything from your house to your clothes to your car would be used as a point of comparison to see why you cheaped out on quite simply, the easiest southern dessert to make. You'd be taking most of it home with you. You would have to change churches, possibly even denominations. I am not kidding. This so-called "Banana Pudding" is a travesty.

He also got the cobbler but we didn't get to take a picture of it. He wolfed that down after his plate. Ok he finished his plate, I could've fed three people with my plate. There's just something about having a good ole barbecue. I have no complaints, we waited in line and it moved pretty quick even though there was a crowd. The workers there are quick and efficient. Friendly and welcoming. Will we be back? Hell yeah we are!!! Lots of parking, bring an appetite and be ready to take home a bunch of food. And don't forget the cobbler !!!

I ordered a half-pound of brisket, and they gave me a very generous portion with plenty of beautifully sliced, smoky meat accompanied by pickles. The brisket was tender, flavorful, and exactly what I was hoping for. My wife wanted the burnt ends, but unfortunately they were out, so she went with the shredded brisket slider instead. It turned out to be absolutely delicious, especially paired with their homemade potato salad. This is just a great casual spot to grab an ice-cold beer, relax, and enjoy your favorite smoked meats without all the unnecessary fuss. If you're craving barbecue while you're in downtown Las Vegas, I would definitely recommend giving them a try. And, of course, you have the famous Gold & Silver Pawn Shop right next door, associated with Rick Harrison and Pawn Stars, which makes the area even more fun to visit. Got a strong craving for mashed potatoes and thought I want Mac and cheese too! I didn't want to go to a restaurant or go to kfc - I just wanted good and accessible sides. Smokin T's popped up and thought yes - brilliant this has to be good. Pulled up to this familiar plaza, walked in and it instantly felt homey and smelled so damn good. I ordered immediately and prefaced to the guys that I'd absolutely want to try everything - just not today, they understood. The guys were so dang kind and generous, that alone would make me come back. The mash potatoes were in fact a slam dunk, simple and tasty. The quality, service, and attention to detail are second to none. In a world where personal service is becoming harder to find, Tom and Marni have created something truly special. Every time we've been told the kitchen is extremely backed up. One visit, we waited almost an hour before finally leaving because at that point it just wasn't worth the wait, especially for the price. Today we came back again hoping for a better experience, and we were told they were basically closing the kitchen because they were so backed up and asked if we still wanted to wait. Based on our previous experiences, we decided to just leave. The food is good, but after this happening three times in a row, it seems like there's a serious issue with how the kitchen is being managed. It's frustrating to drive there and be willing to spend the money only to repeatedly be told there's an excessive wait or that the kitchen can't keep up. We really wanted to keep supporting this place, but at this point it's becoming hard to justify going back.
