Our group of 8 was told to leave a review in exchange for a drink, which we did and were initially very grateful for. However, this can be very misleading because we had just arrived and our reviews did not align with our actual experience at all. Because it was not accurate, we deleted our reviews and I am adjusting mine. After we were seated and placed our first order, we were pretty much forgotten about the rest of our dining experience. We were very patient but it took forever to get our server's attention, and the restaurant was genuinely not busy at all. Once we placed orders, we did not receive much of what we had ordered and we had to re-order, which took even more time. We asked for water refills multiple times and did not receive it until another server, who wasn't originally ours, helped us out. After receiving his reviews by name, it was clear our first server got what he wanted and then was actively avoiding us or frankly did not care to help anymore. Our next server was great and the food was delicious, hence the 2 stars. Otherwise, it would have been lower. Had the second server not stepped in to help, there would be absolutely no chance of us considering returning again. Unfortunately by the time he did, we had several requests we understand may have been overwhelming, only because we were not promptly helped before. However, our second server, did a great job keeping up with that. A few things to also mention, our broth was so low that my pot was burning and smoking. Many of our requests went ignored or forgotten. It was an extremely hot day and we went without water refills for a while. Also, when it was time to pay the bill-- this is the ONLY time our server was attentive to us as he wanted to check us out, which we can only assume is because he wanted the tips. I honestly didn't feel like wagyu in hotpot tasted that good. It's probably better off being grilled. I actually liked the sushi and appetizers more than the shabu. Went to this all you can eat sushi and Shabu place. For $34 you can enjoy and all you can eat experience of sushi and Shabu so I suggest if you want to try both come hungry. We stick to sushi and ordered a few rolls and appetizers. All of which were amazing. The food was fresh. The service was friendly, and even though they were very busy they were very attentive. The place has plenty of seating and can accommodate very large parties. However it can get tight and crowded. We were sat next to the restroom, which was not my favorite spot however, given how busy it was, I felt that we were lucky to even get a table. We enjoyed several items on the menu some of which I did not photograph. In addition to what we have in the photos we also ordered a rainbow roll. The restaurant is not stingy when it comes to portion size. They give you full-size rolls or you can request halves. And they do not limit you on how many rounds you can order. However, they do limit you to a one hour ordering window. So you can order as much as you want within an hour, but you do have to finish it all or they will charge you by the pound for what you don't eat. Enjoy! read more

Had a good experience here. Love that they're open late. Didn't have a wait when we came on a Sunday night, restaurant was about half empty. Nice sauce/side bar. I don't eat sushi so I only had shabu and I enjoyed the food. There were two of us so we could get two servings of each of the premium meats. The first round, I couldn't tell the difference between the premium and regular meats, they basically looked the same, decent but nothing spectacular. The second order we placed though you could really tell the difference and the premium short rib looked and tasted amazing. Meats are really thin, sometimes too thin that they break apart. Kinda silly you're limited to ordering one order of crawfish per person, as it's just two cooked previously frozen crawfish, not good or special at all. Between the shabu and sushi and all the side dishes, there is a massive variety of food you can order. It took kind of a while after ordering to get the meat, not sure if it's to try to slow you down and not eat at much because it was surprisingly how long it took with the restaurant pretty empty. Overall, I would return, ideally for a cheaper lunch or late night menu as the all day menu was a bit on the pricy side. read more

My wife and I wanted some late night shabu shabu, and after looking over various options, we landed on Sushi & Shabu Time. We were glad we came, as the staff were quick to welcome us and get us situated, very friendly, very attentive. Many times it seemed like we thought we needed something, and before we even looked away from each other and towards the staff, they were already on the way either ready to take our next order, or bringing a fresh water carafe. It was nice and chill inside too; not too loud, so my wife and I could talk, good temperature to enjoy the hot food while not being overly corrective in cooling down the room. The food was delicious! The mala broth was great, just spicy enough, and the tonkatsu broth was exactly what we wanted. The meats were delicious, the sushi rolls were well done, and I couldn't get enough of the corn ribs. If anything, the only thing I felt I was missing, and this is just a personal preference from shabu spot to shabu spot, but I really like kabocha with my shabu, and they did not have any. No place is perfect though, and if that's the only notable disappointment I have, then that's a good thing. I'd be happy to stop by next time I visit Vegas. read more

I had a friend visiting who wanted ayce sushi for a large group in China town for about 14 people, and they had a show after so we needed to not worry about waiting long to get seated. I had directed them away from one spot that had gone down hill, and saw this spot thinking oh this looks good! I hadn't realized it was a spot I had been before because they changed the menu and became a sushi and shabu spot. I'll start with the positive. The workers were very nice and attentive. The seared salmon nigiri was decent, and I liked their ice cream. I tried the ube and strawberry and they both were great! They have a large bar that is clearly labeled for the shabu shabu ingridients. They also have a large diverse menu. Sushi, sashimi, shabu shabu, skewers etc the problem is none of them are done very well. The lamb skewer was so overcooked I could barely bite into it. The scallop skewer was more oil than buttery. The tuna sashimi was so grisly and poor quality I was not even going to try to eat it. The yellow tail sashimi and nigiri was watery. The baked muscles so overcooked they were chewy. Shabu shabu meat so thin it wouldn't come off the plate as a single piece it just kept breaking apart. Everything just seemed like it was put together or cooked by someone who was relegated to washing dishes the day prior and had no experience with actually making food. Some how other people seemed happy with what they were receiving, and for that I am grateful. However, I will make sure not to make same mistake again of coming here. Even with this new menu revamp the quality is not any better, and after I had such a wonderful experience the day prior somewhere else, it really hit harder that this place just isn't for me. read more

We visited Sushi and Shabu Time for a late lunch during EDC weekend because we saw that they had an AYCE option (about $35 per person). Tips are automatically included for any parties with 6 or more people. Overall, we enjoyed the sushi option more than the shabu. It seems like other parties also preferred sushi as well, as the sushi chef was backed up on orders. Our favorites were the seared salmon and tuna nigiri as well as the yuzu yellowtail. The shabu broths, meats, and toppings were decent but nothing special. While the tonkotsu broth was nice and light, the mala soup wasn't spicy enough for our liking. I do not like KrAb in my sushi. 1) I was missing a roll, 2) the other two rolls had a BUNCH of KrAb in them, and 3) The Garlic Tuna Carpaccio was not very tasty either. If for some reason, these items were not available, I would have really appreciated it if my order had just been cancelled, instead of just sending "whatever." Long story short I will definitely not return. Probably the worst meat I've ever gotten from any AYCE restaurant. I saw other people's pictures prior to coming and the cuts were decent for the price but when we got our meats it was horrible. I should've taken a picture but our table was so crowded; we were in a booth with 6 people sharing one hot pot. The kimchi, fries and ube ice cream are probably the best thing there. Didn't care for the sushi too much because most of all the rolls consists of tempura or imitation crab. We waited 30 min on a Thursday night at 9pm. There's an automatic service charge for parties 6+ which is in the menu in fine print, but they don't inform you about anytime during dining. Just wish they had the courtesy to inform us. Even for the price I don't think it's worth it. The service is pretty bad. We didn't get our appetizers until 45 minutes after ordering and some things never came out, even after the waitress said she would make sure they did. Other appetizers came out twice so it got sent back to the kitchen. A single bowl of rice took 30 min to come out, with a reminder. Yeah I get it maybe it was a busy night but everything felt disorganized. After 10 minutes of sitting down another employee came by and was confused asking us, "you haven't gotten your pot yet?" There were some nice employees that tried to make our experience better so I'll give them a star for that. read more

I've been wanting to come here for some time now. The ratings are great. We entered and were greeted immediately with a kind a patient person. I say this because we just wanted sushi but because of the servicer, he convinced us to get the shabu shabu and menu B because it is worth the options of food. He was absolutely right. We ordered lots of little items that were fresh and delicious. Except the salmon, it was way to fishy and the spicy tuna handball had a funny taste. However, all the other sushi items were cut big and tasted great. The shabu was okay. I know we are suppose to add flavors and make it our own but it really was a blan tonkotsu. My only qualm would be the attentiveness--I ordered tamago nigiri and got tobiko instead (which was still very yummy) and our water didn't get refilled until the end of our meal. I walked in a bit negatively but as the food came out I was surprised at their quality, freshness, and taste. The sushi dishes were delicious and the quality was top tier. The skewers were great, my favorite was the lamb... I can't get over how good that lamb skewer was and I had to beg for 1 more ... - you're only allowed 1 order! Thank you!! I was more focused on sushi and my husband was eating more shabu, he said the meat quality was great and had no complaints about the broths either. When we went it was busy and pretty packed, there was a very short wait but we got seated pretty quickly. The topping bar is towards the side of the restaurant and for the amount of people dining the flow is pretty seamless. I'd be back, if you're in the area give them a try!
