All over tik tok I see ppl go to build your own hot pot. Cant lie I got severe fomo so I NEEDED to try at least once in my life and I pleasantly had driven to this place. Me and some friends were a lil bit confused on what to do at first as there is nowhere in AZ where we can build our own hot pot but Paul was so kind and showed us how the hot pot process works . We were given a bowl and began loading up. We were told most ppl get 1.5 lbs typically. The bowls are priced via weight with that being $15.99/lb. Yeah I love this. I was so excited I was grab happy and ended up with 2.8lbs regardless I was happy. Everyone I was with all got different broths one being the Szechuan and another being Bone broth. Both were so delicious. We were assigned a table the cooked our hot pot in the back and was brought to our table. My brother unfortunately had been grab crazy and got 5lbs but even after we finished all our food he was happy he could take it home and keep eating. (Mind you we still had to drive to AZ by the time we got back ME AND MY FRIEND DEVOUREDDDDD EVERY SINGLE BUT THAT WAS LEFT). Busy Plaza in Chinatown is where you'll find mala town. Parking was a bit tight but cars are going in and out quickly so you'll eventually find out. Mad line and crowd inside the restaurant means good business! We grabbed our bowls and tongs and added everything to be made with the spicy Bone broth. Their spicy is very spicy so he aware. This is my go-to Malatang place in LV. The service is super friendly and the ingredients are pretty fresh. There a large selection that you can choose from to add to your broth or dry noodles. There is also a sauce bar that includes unsweetened tea that is self serve. The place is also pretty clean and has a good amount of seating. I've tried the signature beef broth and the tum yum. My favorite has to go to the signature. It is super flavorful and does not feel too oily like other places. The tum yum is good as well but the signature beef has a more complex flavor. I was sad when I went in today and they were sold out of the beef broth! They are currently having a 7.99lb deal on tuesdays and wednesdays before 6pm but I think it is ending next week so definitely take your chance and go soon! read more

I moved forward to the veggie and protein stations to select the ingredients for my mini hot pot. I was seeking for more veggies and less protein. Most of the veggies were fresh. Some of the protein didn't look too good, hence, I skipped the protein. I got mostly spinach + other greens, cilantro, lotus, mushroom, tofu plus a few more items. I chose the original broth flavor with medium spice. Staff was okay. Price was reasonable... $15.99 per lb. My bowl was a tad over 1 lb that cost me less than $20... pretty average nowadays. After paying for my bowl, I was given a table number. Then I walked over to the condiments bar to grab some toppings and choice of water or passion fruit juice. Next I sat down at my assigned table and waited. Wait wasn't too long. Bowl was delivered to me. Staff did not return again after delivery. However, there was a gentleman who walked around the tables asking customers if everything was okay with their meal. He just didn't walk to my table which was fine. He probably knew I was just visiting, but still. Great service to people should be no different regardless. Anyway, soup was piping hot! Flavor was savory and delicious. Spice level was perfect. They have a great selection of ingredients and you will always see the staff rotating and refilling the selection to ensure freshness. I've been to the one in the Bay Area, so I was excited to see mala town in Las Vegas. I really wanted to try their Tom Yum soup base but they said they were out of it until further notice. So I settled for the tomato based broth, which was pretty good. For some reason I wasn't in the mood to try anything spicy that day otherwise I would've tried their Szechuan broth, which is my go to. It was very clean and there was no wait when I went for dinner on a weekday. I like that you can customize your bowl to your liking. I love the variety of toppings you can get especially different types of tofu, rice, cakes, and they even have my favorite fishballs with roes!! in terms of meat they had pork belly, beef belly, and other options as well. It's not the highest quality of the meat for hot pot, but it does the job. The pricing was pretty reasonable. My bowl came out to be about $25 with tips. After you pay, you move onto the sauce station where you can make your own sauce on the side. My request is that they add ponzu. Otherwise it's perfect. When you sign up for a membership, you get points and you also get three dollars off of your next purchase. I can see myself coming back here and trying different broths. This time I added a couple of quail eggs, a braised egg, a piece of pork intestine, baby octopus, cuttlefish, squid, mushrooms, and a couple of green mussels. I skipped the noodles. The pork intestines and baby octopus were a little too chewy, which was a bit disappointing, but overall, it was great. Customer service was outstanding both visits, and the place was clean. Busy busy busy on an 8 PM Sunday evening, and not enough staff to keep up. We came in to a line that was about 10 people deep, and lots of containers were empty. Had to wait for them to replace multiple items. A few labels were also missing. One of the tongs I picked up was drenched in a raw meat's marinated sauce so... that was kind of gross. Prices were a bit steep for a pound seeing that the selection of ingredients was pretty sparse, $15.99. The young staff member with the earphone on was passing out the soups incorrectly with multiple tables, starting with placing a wrong soup at ours and not double checking if he was correct or not--he just stood there with the soup although we expressed that it wasn't ours and were visibly confused as to why he was still standing there assuming it was one of ours--he set it down anyway and left. Had to flag down someone else to take it away. Then saw the same guy place a to-go order at the table behind us, and the customer said that order was for "B6" and not "C4", which is a crazy difference to me... Sauce bar was clean and had plenty of selection, there's also free iced tea which was yummy!
