    Crab Rangoons // ig: @sandyeatslocal

I was craving sushi so I stopped by here to try that all you can eat sushi. Upon arrival, there were not many tables and the restaurant was very dim with workers spread out throughout the restaurant on their phones. The price was cheap for AYCE, but unfortunately, so was the quality of fish. We ordered the crab rangoons to start, and they were soo good. The filling was perfect. The sushi was not the worst, but it was not great. Some nigiri had a fishier smell than other pieces which had us a bit concerned. Our server was sweet and helpful, but he kept forgetting our order or gave us sushi that we did not order. I think the price point is fairly 'what you pay is what you get'. There are no appetizers, soup, salads, etc. that come with the AYCE price. It is only nigiri, sashimi, special rolls, and hand rolls.

A fun experience at a Japanese Steakhouse! The service was great! Get your food cooked on a hibachi hot stone in front of you! Their ingredients were top notch and tasted great! The setting is pleasant!

My favorite thing to order at Sumo is their sushi. Their hibachi is ok, but not my favorite because it can be too greasy. The shows are ok. I went a few weeks ago and they try to make social distancing as safe as possible for dining in but I still think we are sitting way too close. They do a great job at accommodating toddlers because we had a couple of toddlers at the hibachi grill my family and I were at including my own toddler. The hibachi shows were not particularly their favorite. The wait staffs were kind enough to help distract my son. I thought their sushi is pretty good. Their spicy cowboy roll is delicious. They have a very nice selection of sushi both raw and cooked. If you're looking for a fun and family friendly dinner or celebration, Sumo is the place to go! Check them out.

When we made our reservation we noted our anniversary and asked for a small booth if possible. We were given a small corner booth in the back room and it was just perfect! The ambience was fantastic, quiet rat-pack tunes, not a lot of noise otherwise. Beautifully appointed room, and so nice to be at a restaurant that actually has table linens as it feels like it's more and more difficult to find these days. I didn't feel out of place dressed up (though there were plenty of people in jeans --SMH, come on Oklahoma peeps!-- which is such a shame...) Not only had they laid our table with rose petals but they also left a lovely Anniversary card for us as well. They start you off with Sourdough bread.. It was not very sour but it was fresh and crsip (tip, it comes to the table very hot but it will be much easier to cut and not turn your inside gooey if you let it cool a bit before trying to cut. The butter that comes along has what I believe is black Himalayan salt just sprinkled on top... do not miss grabbing some of that, so good. We both had steaks, my husband the filet and the ribeye for myself, both were very good. The sides are ala cart family style, so we ordered just two to share. The potatoes au gratain and the parmesan asparagus were both delicious and well done. ALL of our food came out piping hot and wonderful too (I really don't enjoy when my food isn't actually HOT! so I pay attention to this and this was the hottest food I can recall having in years!! perfect!) Steaks were cooked to perfection and seasoned beautifully to just be able to taste the steaks. We like ours plain so did not opt for any of the toppings, though i may go back and get a filet sometime Oscar. Everything was cooked as it should be. We both opted for dessert instead of apps or wine or anything else that would fill you up more quickly. I got the seasonal Lemon Cake with bluberries, cream, and Ice cream Celina said it was good and it really really was, I could not finish as the rest of the meal filled me up too much but the leftover was just as good the next night! The coffee was also delicious, just ordered plain, but as many of you know there is a wide range of drinkability in plain coffee. My husband wanted something lighter and opeted for the crème brûlée which was traditional, though they topped it with strawberries and blueberries, the brûlée was beautifully done! Just the right thickness and crispness. The service was professional yet relaxed and not super snooty. Nicely paced, and incredibly attentive to water and clearing of dishes. Yes, you are gonna spend over $200 for a meal like this, but for a quality meal, especially on a celebration night, it can be worth it. There were other pates that were full meals and closer to the $35-$50 mark if you want the experience without as much expense. The only think noted was we had not tried it yet as it is very unassuming from the outside facade, so don't let that fool you!! We will gladly spend our next celebration meal at Boulevard.

The appetizer we order based on the waiter suggestion was a sloppy culinary mess, not one person in this group of 6 could eat it. With much delay again, we placed our orders, the salad I order came incorrectly, I orders and spinach salad and received a caesar salad; they forgot the salad my friend ordered until after the main course came and she had to remind the waiter who had not placed that order at all. My husband had to wait 20 minutes for an ice tea refill, my friend was not able to place order for a 2nd beer for about the same time because the waiter would just not come back to check on our table. The caesar salad I ended up eating did taste good, the pizza was decent. The waiter did take the dips off our checks because we sent it back, so I appreciated his responsibility with this. It was a very disappointing experience, 2 of our friends drove from Norman to meet us here and we are not able to see each other often. The ambiance was also very loud and hard to have a conversation without speaking very loud. I do not recommend and will not go back to this restaurant.

First, you should know it is a sports bar and grill so very loud, lots of tvs and cheering fans. We were greeted and sat quickly at a booth along the wall. We had a server training a new employee and both were great. We never ran out of drinks and were checked on regularly. We started off with the giant pretzel and it was AMAZING! It wasn't too dense, fresh and super hot with queso. It came out on a platter and was huge but we managed to eat it all, there were 3 of us. For my meal I got the fried mushrooms and wings. Wings were on special for $1.50 each. The mushrooms were large and descent but nothing compared to the pretzels and wings. The wings were cooked perfectly, a little crispy but still juicy. The sauce was great! My daughter got the spicy chicken sandwich with okra and said it was good. The plate was very large so it looked a little sad in size, but believe me we had plenty of food. My son (11) got the chicken strips with house-made potato chips. He said it was DELICIOUS! Overall we had a great experience and would definitely come back just for that pretzel!
