I Usually like this place... new American kid server was a top ten worst servers I have ever had anywhere. He Brought the wrong order after almost an hour, never brought plates, warm water with no ice... took waaaaaaaay too long to get our food, served others before us who walked in a lot later than us, asked for the check, He ignored us and took another 10 minutes to deliver it at which time I slapped a credit card immediately on it in front of him and he looks at and walks away.... Ordered delivery with Yelp24. I love being able to do everything in one place. Delivery took only about 15 minutes after 7PM on a Tuesday night. Was really surprised how fast it was delivered. I ordered the scallion pancakes ($4.95 ), spicy tuna roll ($4.50) and the Red Dragon Roll ($10.95) otherwise known as a tuna lovers roll. The scallion pancakes were amazing. My hair dresser has raved about this place and every time I'm there they are ordering delivery and raving about these pancakes. I finally got to try them and was really glad i did. If i were to describe them it would be almost like a very thin quessadilla style fried dough with scallions. Definitely not like a typical doughy Chinese pizza. Definitely would order this again and again. The spicy crunchy tuna roll actually has crunch in it! Otherwise the spicy tuna roll is pretty much the same as the ones you get everywhere else. I did enjoy the extra crunch which is missing from others versions. The Red Dragon Roll is always my favorite. Sometimes called the Tuna Lovers Roll it has spicy tuna inside and sashimi tuna and avocado on top. I always ask for spicy mayo on the side bcuz it's my favorite to eat with tuna. Their spicy mayo was a little sweeter than i am used to but still delicious! I ate here when they first opened and they've definitely come a long way. I went here last week and bought their 3 rolls for 10 dollar deal. Which came with miso soup and a salad. I have an allergy to cucumbers and called to make sure their was no cross contamination (with the utensils, boards, etc.). I didn't have any problems. In addition to that they are being very safe with COVID. they have a whole set up, to avoid contact of any kind. The only negative is that I thought their rolls were a bit small. The sushi was great and so was their customer service and safety guidelines. The price is also very reasonable for the amount you get. Would/will go again. read more

Lunch special is three rolls from the lunch menu for ten dollars great value for the price. Also shrimp fried rice is way above average with mostly large shrimp and plenty full in this tasty dish. We recently moved into the area and this place was a great find. We have NEVER had a bad meal here. The sushi is always fresh, there's a lot of variety on the menu and some of the specials have been pretty creative. BYOB makes it a bargain Friday night stop, and they deliver locally and have take out. I can only give this a 4 star review on my own account because I have never actually had real sushi. I am a vegetarian now and only get their vegetable rolls which are unreal. They are always busy and I prefer to pick up rather than sit it but whenever I dine in they are fast and consistent. Typical neighborhood sushi spot, regular style miso soup and salad. read more

This place is incredible. I eat here at least once or twice a month, and I've gotten take out multiple times. The food is so good. Sumo Sushi in Cinnaminson was our hosts pick since we were new they believed more choices from Sumo Sushi would be best. We wanted something that was cooked for our first outing and chose the "Dragon Roll" consisting of Shrimp tempura inside, avocado on the top with shrimp sauce. Also the "Godzilla" consisting of Spicy tuna, salmon, avocado deep fried w. Eel sauce, spicy mayo, scallion & masago (fish eggs) on the side. The whole experience was great, from the ordering, to the service, to the presentation, to the taste, and the relaxed atmosphere of the Sumo Sushi. I have been to Sumo a few times now (usually I get delivery), and each time there have only been a few people dining in. Once, the place was completely empty except for the employees. I've had many of the regular rolls and a few of their specialty rolls, plus the spicy kani salad (one of my favorites), chicken bento. While nothing is particularly groundbreaking as far as sushi goes, it really is all yummy and fresh. My delivered meals have arrived nicely packaged and with a smile (the delivery guy, not the food). So what the heck is going on in Cinnaminson? If people aren't going to Sumo for their maki meals, where are they going instead? read more

Awesome service, I always get a friendly welcome and treatment from the staff, whether it's pickup, delivery or dine in. I've done it all at Sumo and it's great. They have amazing presentation, even making a volcano with the sushi roll when I ordered a Volcano Roll, with LED lights in it and everything. They plate their dishes well and are quick. They have a BYOB policy and will bring an ice bucket for champagne/wine. I haven't even begun with the food, which is all excellent. I'm not even a fan of miso soup, personally-- but I even eat theirs. The lunch boxes are a great deal. If you're craving sushi, this is definitely the place to go. read more

The folks are usually very friendly, and they try not to stress too much when they're busy (with varying levels of success). I ordered delivery from here. It came very late. Both my wife and I got food poisoning before making it a quarter of the way through our meal. We had to toss away at least 50 dollars worth of sushi and sashimi. The restaurant would not refund us and claimed we were lying about it (Even though it happened to both of us and neither of us had eaten anything else for 7 hours prior to the meal). Absolutely horrendous customer service, will not go here, recommend no one go here. There are better places that have better customer service, better delivery, better food. This place is UNSAFE. First time here with my daughters, got the: Hawaiian roll (11.95) Philly, Eel and Avocado and the Spicy tuna roll (10.95) and, Shumai dumplings (4.95) The Hawaiian roll was the best just off the charts good. It has about 5 or 6 peices not sure what bc we ate it so fast it was that good. The Shrimp dumplings (Shumai) were also excellent in their lil 'purses', not the hard tough shells you usually get and just melt like butter in your mouth. Its a 1$ a dumpling for bite size portions but was so good not complaining, in fact, was going to get five more but had to catch a train. The philly roll was a lil more on smoky side than i prefer (my daughters too fish out lol) but i thought it was real classic smoky taste not some artificial flavor.
