For a small unassuming place the sushi is surprisingly good! I've gotten take out twice and eaten in once (I didn't even realize that was an option!) Instead of calling me to the counter, they presented the sushi on a tray like they were serving royalty! . The sushi tastes fresh, the pieces of fish are generous. (I hate when a roll is mostly just rice!) My favorite roll so far is the salmon. I've had it each time and it is always delicious. They also have inari sushi even though it's not on the menu. Ordered Sushi to go in a pinch through a deal on Uber Eats and was very impressed! We tried a the dragon, Fiji, thunder and futomaki rolls and all were solid. Usually the quality of fish here is decent but this most recent visit wasn't as good as it's been. Scallop sashimi - scallops were actually a bit dried (from being left uncovered most likely) Octopus sashimi - very, very chewy. flavor was ok tho White tuna - hadn't been properly trimmed (had some marks from where it gets hooked) Tuna and snapper were decent. Hamachi and salmon were quite good, best of the lot. Kani salad was tasty and flavorful. Will still go again but maybe order some other items instead, the rolls are usually decent. During the Time of the Corona Virus, dining in at restaurants has all but disappeared. Still, we wanted to support local businesses so we opted for picking Wednesday nights as the night to order take out. I went online and used GrubHub to order for pick up. It was pretty easy to go online and pay up; pick up was within 30 minutes and the order was correct. Right now they have it set up so that only one person at a time can enter to pick up food that is set aside on a separate table away from the employees and counter. All in all, I'd say the food was basic and good. Can't remember what we ordered, but probably a few California rolls and others featuring shrimp and soft shell crab. read more

Great no-frills cheap but fresh sushi. I love Volcano Roll, Dragon, New Year roll. Not a fan of Godzilla roll, too big, too bready since it's rice and also deep fried in batter. But over all, I've had many of their other specialty rolls and regular rolls and 80% of them are to my liking. It's a super fun roll and if your someone with a low spice tolerance like myself I definitely recommend. I also got the fried pork gyozas which are another favorite of mine and I find this place does them really well! For the first time today I also tried their chicken hibachi, and it was great. I hate writing reviews less than 3 stars but after my last delivery experience with this place I had to. We orderes 3 basic rolls, miso soup, and pork dumplings on Grubhub. It took over a half hour for the food to be delivered after I received the "It's on the way!" text-and we live right down the road. I tried to contact the restaurant and the phone went straight to their voicemail service several times, so I just had to keep waiting hoping it would arrive eventually. The miso soup was 90% broth, I basically needed a pool skimmer to find any pieces of seaweed or tofu. The dumplings were okay-but I'm guessing since the sat in the container so long they were just meh. My fiancé said his spicy tuna roll was fine, but my sushi was BLECH. I ordered an Alaskan roll and a tuna avocado roll. I couldn't tell if the fish was actually bad or the avocado in both was just so extremely mushy it made the fish seem bad. After waiting over an hour for dinner and then not even being able to stomach more than half of it, I definitely will not be ordering from this place again. read more

I got two simple rolls - spicy tuna and spicy yellowtail and 1 chef special roll - the Sunshin Roll which is Shrimp tempura, spicy tuna fried onions, avocado, mango inside, spicy mayo/eel sauce. Never had a roll like it and I really enjoyed it! My partner really enjoyed his rolls as well. My only wish is that they would label the rolls because my partner was trying to convince me that my Sunshin roll was his when I knew it wasn't and we had to look up the menu to see what in each other's rolls. I was craving sushi and figured, why not try it? I heard positive comments on the other locations, and this one recently just opened up. The lunch special is a pretty decent deal, 3 rolls (from the provided options) for $10 and it comes with a salad! There is also a 2 roll lunch special deal. I decided on 3 rolls, but next time I'll stick to 2 because I was STUFFED! There was a generous amount of fish in my rolls and I had plenty of left overs. Briefly skimming the menu, it seemed like there was a wide range of sushi rolls to select from as well a handful of hibachi entrees. The sushi roll selection mostly consisting of the more well-known common rolls found at any typical sushi place. My boyfriend and I decided to dine-in since we were planning on heading over to Philly after eating. I noticed most of the orders (actually, all of the orders) were take out or called in for delivery, but dining in was a nice experience too. Although everything is packaged to-go (hence, sushi to go), they provide chop sticks, plates, soy sauce, and even spicy mayo to use to dine-in! Was here about 3 months ago for the 2 roll sushi special. The rolls were well made, balanced, large, full, substantial and delicious, not a speck of rice out of place. TODAY, came back for the same 2 roll sushi special. The rolls were microscopic, unbalanced, very poorly made. They were significantly less than HALF the size of the rolls I ordered 3 months ago. I could of (should of) gone to the grocery store across the street and gotten a much more substantial, better made set of rolls for the same price. This was supposed to be lunch and only served as an overpriced, poorly made, micro snack. I'll have to leave work and get something else. WILL NOT BE COMING BACK!!! read more

A sushi spot nestled in a across from the Garden State shops. I had great reviews so I had high hopes that it would fill a sushi void left a while back when the spot in CH mall of all places closed. Well, I didn't hate it, but I didnt love it either, it was ok... I actually ordered through yelp (Eat 24) for pick up, I probably could've gotten delivery, but I wanted to see where my food was coming from. Directly after ordering it told me it would take about 45-60 mins to be ready, I was a little shocked, it was sushi after all, with some miso soup and a calamari app.. but I quickly got an email adjusting to 12 mins... so I headed over. When I pulled in I noticed the place was pretty small only a table or two so def a to go place as the title suggests. It was empty, two orders wait one of which was mine. I didn't get greeted tho, as I looked around trying to take it in all I got was did u order? Oh hi yes I did... what's your phone number... so I give my number, as she struggles to find the number on the Eat24 paper... did u do it online? yes I did... she literally rips the paper off the bag and types whatever into the computer... I was a little taken a back... the attitude def did not match the place... it was nice clean fresh... It's not like they were swamped, I really don't know where that all came from. But anyway I completed my purchase and headed out. The Calamari was for my daughter, she didn't like it, and I'm not gonna lie it didn't look too appetizing... it was very breaded and soggy, sorry hun. The miso soup was ok... it doesn't come with the lunch combos or anything so I probably would order individually again, it wasn't great. The California roll was missing something, some flavor was missing I usually don't eat it with soy sauce but I had to because otherwise it just tasted bland. I was actually wishing I had gone without it. The shrimp tempura roll was delicious! I would get that again... This is not a much visit place in my opinion, there is a possibility I'll order from here again simply because of convenience and location... they deliver for $2 with a $15 minimum and they do have two sushi burritos I want to try so hopefully the next time I have a better experience. Just moved to cherry hill and I needed a sushi fix so I stopped here on my way home after some shopping. I saw they had lunch special so I ordered the 3 roll special for just under $11. I got the boston roll, chicken tempura, shrimp tempura and you get a small salad on the side. Good prices, good sushi, pretty fast service, and right next door to a bubble tea place? Not much more I can ask of a sushi place in the burbs. Like the name says, it's a small to go sushi place with not much room to sit and eat but they don't take too long to get to go orders together, so they don't really need the room. Now being vegetarian, I know my opinion on sushi holds very little weight but they have good veggie rolls with well cooked rice. None of that hard gummy kind of rice and there's no issue with soy sauce cross contamination with the rice for other celiacs out there. They also don't put salt on their edamame which SEEMS like a minor fact but is truthfully 75% of the reason why I eat edamame anyway. Anyway.
