After our last interaction, my husband (a man of few compliments) said he thought Dr. Schwartz was the best vet we've ever had. -------- Dr. Schwartz is absolutely amazing. The fact that he's a mobile vet makes his service that much better. We have struggled to find good veterinary care here in the desert. We were lucky to have a wonderful long-time vet in the Pacific Northwest but it hasn't been realistic for us to time everything when we're there, especially with an older dog. We've been having some concerns about changes in our 13-year-old's health. It was great to be able to sit with her during the appointment and find reassurance in how we could navigate things going forward. We also had Dr. Schwartz update our 3-year-old pup's vaccines. Our poor little girl is terrified of the vet and usually spends her time hiding under chairs. This experience may have single-handedly cured her fear. Dr. Schwartz is great about taking the time to provide his insights/opinion and any answer questions we've had. We have an almost 16 year old dachshund that really needed his teeth cleaned. Dr. Schwartz and Bob were truly amazing with my little fur baby. I was really worried because other vets wanted to do general anesthesia and with my baby being so old it made me really nervous. They were able to do it without giving him general. I was really familiar with the drug they were using. My pup walked out of the van by the time they were done and it's like my baby got 5 years back on his life. We just moved here and I was looking for a vet to check and possibly clean my dogs teeth. She's 10 and has been slowing down and limping at times just in the past few months. Dr. Schwartz is not only very reasonably priced, he is a very kind and knowledgeable veterinarian that obviously truly cares about animals. He spent around two hours with me and Gigi and explained my options on whether to clean her teeth now or wait. My previous vet really pressured me for years to get them cleaned and even said she'd need extractions. Dr. Schwartz showed me her teeth and what to look for if they were infected. He said they were actually not too bad and no extractions were necessary. I decided to just get it done and she came out with pearly white teeth all in tact, I wasn't expecting them to be that clean! Dr. Schwartz also cleaned the hair out of her ears and gave her some drops for an ear infection that looked like it was brewing, and he also gave her a cortisone injection for the arthritic like pain she's been in. That made a HUGE difference in how she moved in just a day! I couldn't be more grateful to have found such a wonderful, caring & honest vet! read more

Dr. Schwartz is amazing! I had a beautiful cat who was 17 years old and became very ill. He was an indoor cat and very skittish around everyone except me. It would freak him out to go to a veterinary office. Dr. Schwartz came to my home and we diagnosed Buddy. We started on medication and all seemed to be getting better for awhile. Then Buddy took a turn for the worse and Dr. Schwartz confirmed that there wasn't much we could do. He was so kind and compassionate. Buddy crossed over the rainbow bridge in October 2022. I had the most positive experience with Sun Cities Vet. I have two cats, and one of the cats absolutely hates going to the vet. He will fight the entire vet team and will give them a hard time, but today was such a good day for both cats and both did amazing! Dr. Leslie Schwartz is such a kind person and he really does care for your pets. My experience with Dr. Leslie was amazing, and he let me come inside his mobile to help keep the boys calm. Of course there was still some uncertainty with the cats but the experience wasn't bad compared to the times when I had to leave and actually take them to the vet. Our 11 year old black lab started having seizures back in early November. We worked with our vet to do the best we could to help her get stabilized, which we were able to do. But Molly, due to the meds, became extremely dependent upon us to perform basic daily functions. We could not take her off the meds or she would begin having seizure again. We decided to send Molly on her journey and wanted to do so at our home since it would be more comfortable for her and her sister could be with her when she went. After reading the reviews for Sun City Mobile Vet, we contacted Dr. Schwartz to come by the house for us to perform the procedure since he had very good review and felt he would do a good job. Well, that did not happen. It ended up being a complete disaster from the start! When he got to the house, he made comments to my wife that she needed to let our dog go since she needed to make herself, "available" to me. Considering the emotional time we were going through, what he said really did not register with me. When he saw Molly, our lab, he hit her a couple to times on the head and said, "See, she doesn't even respond to what I am doing and needs to be put down." Molly was on phenobarbital and Gabapentin, so of course she was not responsive! I then told him our previous dog who we put down was given a two step procedure with shots to put him down and if he could do the same with Molly. My understanding is that the first shot puts the dog to sleep and the second shot stops their heart. Clean and painless procedure which all the vets we checked with perform. Dr. Schwartz said he has performed 10,000 of these procedures and he uses and one shot of anesthesia and it would be quick and painless for Molly. We figured, okay, he knows what he is doing, so we went along with his plan. When we had taken her outside to her favorite spot to perform the procedure, he seemed to be in a hurry and wanted to get on with the process. Once we were in place with Molly, he decided to inject her back leg instead of the usual front leg. He injected her and she resisted causing the needle to go through her vein. She began screaming out in pain and we had to hold her steady so he could continue to inject her. Never before had I seen or heard our dog scream out in such pain! I was hold her face and trying to comfort her while my wife was holding and hugging her. She continued to scream and he just stood there telling us she would go and second. She did not. We asked him to get more anesthesia to put her out of her pain, but he did not want to! We insisted so much that he finally went back til his van to get more and brought Bob, his assistant with him. He then shaved her front paw and began injecting her. Unfortunately, Bob was hold her front leg so tight the anesthesia was not going through her vein. After several minutes of hearing Molly scream, she finally passed. Dr. Schwartz then began to make excuses as if it was our fault this all happened we this way. He said that he usually uses the front paw, but since we were at her front he decided to ho with the back leg and basically saying we were in his way. Oh yeah, that will be $450, please... So, our last memory, the last few minutes of our pups life, were complete torture! To top things off, our other lab is witnessing the whole thing while pacing and whining out of concern for her lifetime companion. We would never again use Dr. Schwartz or recommend him to anyone. He destroyed our memories of Molly by not evaluating the situation correctly but just plowed ahead with him plan and caused so much heartache for us. I called him and texted him to discuss what had happened and to walk through it since it was so horrible, but he has never responded. Unbelievable. The guy totally botched the whole process and experience and we recommend you stay clear of this guy. read more

Veterinary skills aside, Dr. Schwartz is an incredible human being for the compassion he shows towards the animals he treats. His level of expertise is astounding, and he offers incredibly fair pricing for services provided. He treated my 13 year old dog with precision and the utmost care.
