Get the cheese dip it actually tastes like real cheese. I followed it up with the Best burrito I think that I have ever had. The food here is not autthentic Mexican food but it is definately delicious. The burritos have potatoes in them and are smothered in the delicious cheese sauce. This place not only has a very appealing interior, but also has mouth watering tacos. The service was amazing and really set to please customers. I had both the fish and shrimp tacos, which were more then enough to make me stuffed. They were both outstanding and didn't fail to please. The price was a little high for Mexican at around $70 for 3 adults and 2 kids. We got a small discount on the kids, but that was a good price for some of the best food I've ever eaten. The only complaint I have didn't effect my experience was that the menus were very lacking. If you want tacos or burritos (that's it) this is the place to go. read more

Best place to eat in Myrtle Beach! SERVICE: Extremely friendly staff...very fun and great service. ATMOSPHERE: Relatively small, but since it's off the beaten path a bit, it's not usually difficult to find a seat. The atmosphere is fun and eclectic. DRINK: Best margaritas in town...period. FOOD: Unbelievable. Started the meal with chips and salsa, of course. The salsa was extremely fresh...and make sure you ask for their habanero salsa as well. It has quite a kick, but is SO good. Mix a bit of that with the "normal" salsa! I then ordered the Old School Burrito. As others have said, the burritos are filled with mashed potatoes (instead of beans/rice) and covered in cheese sauce. Walking in here you think you are walking into a grandmothers attic full of colorful and cheery nick nacks that have been saved over decades. if the atmosphere alone doesn't spark your curiosity then turn around and leave because this place is not for you. It is as laid back, happy and welcoming as it gets. Even when the staff is busy they still have time to greet you with a smile and say "welcome have a seat"! At this point you have no idea what your in for, but then that great big chalk board in the sky catchs your eye and its off on a food trip unlike any other. Portions are huge, tastes are fresh and spicy, and the margaritas are a welcoming introduction into your journey. Most of the time i just tell the server to bring out what is the best that night and it has never failed. by the time you finish this culinary walk of fame all you can do is sit back and smile!! Secret local spot that is kind of hard to find, has strange hours, not in the best location, decorated very differently, small chalkboard menu but amazing Mexican. Huge portions. We just returned from two wonderful weeks in Myrtle Beach, and went back to eat at Sun City twice this year. We were a group of approx 15 each time, and had more fun than eating at any other place. A great break from your typical chain restaurant. The guacamole was superb, as was both types of salsa, the mild and the very hot. I had the combo shrimp andthe chicken nachos, they were plentiful and quite tasty. A couple of people had the old school burrito and loved it. My wife found this place in a Southern Living review. On Main Street but still hard to find. Poor signage...but that's the only negative we have. The menu is on a board on the wall. Two chicken tacos were $10.95. Sounded pricey, but I couldn't finish the meal. Seriously large portions.Wife had Shrimp tacos and counted 16 medium shrimp on two soft taco shells covered in cheese, lettuce, and fresh tomatoes. I read the comments and especially the one from "Chris E". That guy was way off as this was the best food I've ever encountered for a mexican-fusion restaurant. The margaritas are made fresh for each and every customer and the food was clearly made to order. I think that Chris E needs to get out more and lay off the kool aid- all the other reviews were spot on - this is by far one of the BEST hidden secrets in Mrytle Beach. The the salsa was good.. as every one else mentioned. fresh and all ... the drinks were ok, nothing extra ordinary .. but who ever said the food was good need to eat some real mexican. I ordered chicken burrito and wife ordered quesadilla. The burrito was ... just moist.. drowned in sour cream nasty, and poured with american cheese on top of it. I am not sure which part of mexican makes burrittos like this. The inside of burrito was made of mashed potatoes and chicken. The sour cream just killed it. I have never had a worse burrito in my life. The quesadilla my wife had was ok but under seasoned and a bit bland. But definitely much better looking and not as crappy as my buritto. The service was good, it looks like its run by a couple of guys. The ambiance and atmosphere was good. But the food was just terrible. My suggestion .. dont try burrito if you want to go there.. unless you are big big fan of sour cream. read more
