The owner (RAY) is the biggest thief. My daughter asked them to run a diagnostic on the vehicle. They drove their car in, but cloud not drive it out after they did the diagnostic testing. They claimed they changed some minor parts (spark plugs and coil boots) which should not have made the car inoperable. The diagnostic went from $145 to a bill for $270, $125 to change 6 spark plugs and coil boots, $25 parts and $100 labor. They claimed there was a noise in the motor, but wanted us to spend over $400 on preventative maintenance (fuel injection service and a tune-up) that would never have any impact on the so called noise in the motor. Then they said they would have to remove the oil pan to determine where the noise was coming from. But the quote to repair the noise would cost $1000. How do you quote a repair without fully diagnosing the problem. Then without knowing what was causing the so-called noise in the motor they wanted to replace the engine at a cost of $3500. When I questioned RAY (the owner) he then changed his story and suggested the noise might be coming from the timing chain area. But he wasn't sure. I paid the $270 bill and had the car towed from their lot. What they did to prevent the car from starting I don't know. We will now find another shop with a honest reputation to repair the car. I wish I had no idea of what I was talking about but I have over 50 years in the car business and have also owned my own repair business during part of those 50 years. Beware these guys are praying on the elderly in SunCity I called AAA they sent Cameron when he arrived he told my Mom her battery was dead and the car needed to go to AAA to be repair ( I've never heard such a thing) , mom called me and told me this I was shocked she put the driver (Cameron ) on the phone I told him to take the car to the dealer he started to argue with me telling it was only a battery and didn't need to go to the dealer , I told him the car was under warranty he tryed to tell me it wasn't , the car only has 20.000 miles on it and also has extended warranty as well he hung up the phone on me and took off with the car for over 1 1/2 before he delivered the car to dealer I called AAA a d filed a complant but we found out that one of the guys at Mikes also works for AAA so they did nothing about this If mom hadn't called she would had to pay for a new battery and who knows what eles they would charge her for Praying on the elderly is a crime we turn it over to the Sherff read more

It's always good when a mechanic starts the conversation with "you got lucky." My car's AC stopped working. Fortunately, it quit in March, not July. Took it in for a diagnosis fearing the worst. Just got my tax refund and I could see it evaporating as I arrived at Mike's. Even though the parking areas were full, they checked me in right away. After a quick look, the car was moved outside a service bay to have test equipment connected. All of the Freon was gone. After half an hour, the mechanic let me know a valve had failed allowing the gas to leak out. Cost for the new valve - $1. New Freon - $100 (thanks EPA). Add an hour labor charge and I was on the road with a working AC in less than two hours. Fast, friendly, expert and did I mention fast? Way beyond expectations. I hope to not visit often, but will definitely visit again the next time repair is needed. read more

For starters, this review is written by a mechanic. I have never seen such poor service, incompetence, and lack of willingness to fix a problem until coming to this shop. Horrid communication between staff and customers. They fixed my original issue but in doing so they created a new one which was no less serious and took them months NOT to fix. Instead, we bypassed the problem which considerably decreased the value on my vehicle and even that solution was carried through incorrectly. I literally spent thousands of dollars for them to do nothing. To add insult to injury, they were incredibly disrespectful throughout the process. Do NOT bring your vehicle here. Had I been any less knowledgeable about vehicles I would have paid them considerably more and still be left with a non functioning vehicle. At the very least, I should have been completely refunded and again, this is coming from a mechanic. I gave them ample opportunity to remedy their mistakes and time and time again they failed to do so. They are an absolute disgrace to the industry. I took it back becauce blowing hot, They said it was half full so the toped off with freon, it lasted 1 day so i took it back, Now they say i have a blown compressor and bad hoses. and it will cost $1100 plus to fix it, Don't pay cash they don't put into the system and pocket the cash so there is no warranty on your work. read more

STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE...... they are crooks! Took our vehicle in to have them look at it and Ray was the person we dealt with. My husband described what was going on and just asked Ray to check it out . Ray called us about 6 hours later to tell us what his diagnosis was..... we wanted to get a few quotes before making any decisions. We told Ray we would come by the next day to pick it up .... then on our way home from work we stopped in to pick up our vehicle and again we deal with Ray..... he proceeds to tell my husband that there is a $60.00 diagnostic fee for his trouble. GARBAGE!!!! Our car still wasn't even ready after we told him when we would pick it up (he claimed he didn't know when we were coming ) Never did he mention anything about charging us to look at our truck ..... this place has a terrible vibe and I will definitely make sure I do everything in my power to prevent this from happening to others. They replaced the rear differential on my truck. A week later on my way home from Mike's, the differential burns up! Oops, I guess someone forgot to fill it with the proper fluid. 2 weeks later they put another differential on and it finally works! Yeah. Oh and this cost me $2700 and they didn't even offer to get me a rental. These guys claim to be a "Top Shop" but I believe that someones relative works for AAA. BS! This place can suck my peanuts. Please ppl, listen when I tell you not to trust your car with these ppl. My battery died and my insurance company used this company to tow my car. The driver was extremely nice and offered their repair shop for a new battery and I agreed. After we got there I was told I needed a new alternator. When they told me over $600 close to $700 for everything. I called my dad and told him and when I told him the name, he quickly told me to get the hell out of there. He said this place will try and burn you. So I left. The next morning I called another tow company to take my car to Liberty Buick. I get a call back from them because they were making them wait a ridiculous amount of time to release my car. The guy at mikes called and was quite upset that I decided not to let them fix my car even though the day before they said they would work with me paying them. I think they knew that was a ridiculous amount of money. However, after a 2nd attempt, the tow company got my car and took it to Liberty Buick. Two days later, Liberty called and told me all I needed was a new battery. I didn't pay over $150 for that. Mikes was going to take me for my money. ******WARNING****** Another victim here. Sun City Towing was called to have truck taken to a diesel shop (not theirs). Tom calls minutes after truck was loaded and said he sees we are towing your diesel and that we have diesel mechanics at Mike's Sun CIty Union as well. Ray owns the towing and shop so makes it convient to talk customers into bringing to their shop by saying we will give you 2-3 hours of free diagnostics.. Is this legal first of all? Weeks go by and we(ray and tom) agree verbally to replace the motor with a used motor. Quote was 7200-7400 plus a few hundred for wiggle room.. Ok with that so far. First used motor was not correct one.. Said it came with turbo - it didn't (no price change) Tom agreed to swap my injectors since they were oversized and confronted mechanic after motor was installed and he stated no one told me to swap out. Will keep his name out as he is stuck in the middle of all this drama (his words). However yesterday he had a attitude toward me because he had to buy a $200 tool to pull injectors. Lost my keys and registration is missing!!!! Broke headlight, but glued it and Ray said its fixed ( he is ordering me one after not giving in to a glued part) Truck there almost 7 weeks.. Went to pick it up last friday and bill was over $8800 WOW BBB doesn't have a rating now on company.. Look into it as I did. Parts were marked up 175-300% roughly. So I call Farmers and arrange for a tow to larry miller Toyota.The Camry was dead, I asked specifically to be towed. I leave for a few minutes, when I arrive back the tow truck has been here and left, telling my 83 year old mother(owner of the car) that it doesn't need to be towed, drive it up. Wow! So I get in the car that he started and left running, instead of my mom trying to drive a disabled vehicle up to the dealer,and what do you think happened? The car dies on the offramp for Bell rd in the middle of morning rush hour.I simply cannot believe that after arranging for my insurance co to have my car towed w a service that we pay for, that the person that they used to provide the service would refuse to do the work or even have an opinion as to what we should do. Don't trust them! (Now an Exxon, dba Sun City Union, Complete Auto Service) I took my vehicle in and they said I needed a bunch of work done (over $1,000 worth). They looked at things I didn't ask them to look at. Then when I refused the work they said I needed, the owner (Ray Sanchez) got mad, charged me for the labor anyway, and wouldn't give me my vehicle back until I paid every penny. Including a "shop supply" fee that he never mentioned up front. The next day I took my vehicle elsewhere and was told that almost all of the work this shop suggested didn't need to be done and that this shop had over tightened my brakes so I was "riding" my brakes all the way from one shop to the next (17 miles). This wouldn't cause me to crash, but would cause my brand new brakes to wear down too fast, not to mention kill my gas mileage and over work my engine and transmission. I wonder how many senior citizens in this community get ripped off by this place. read more

I see that there are some really negative reviews on this place, however that was not my experience. A friend and myself were supposed to be making a turn around trip to AZ. On our way home we had some problems with the car. We were towed to another repair shop (Because they were closer) that place replaced 1 tire and rotated the others. As we paid, we were given a list of things to have checked out once we returned to California. We were told that 2 women would make it home safely. You guessed it, we made it from Dysert to Bullard! It was then that we were towed to the Exxon on Bell Ave. as soon as we entered the building, we were given cold bottled water ( Of course it was hot. July in AZ?). Tom, and the whole staff was very accommodating. The problems with the car, was the same things that the other shop told us could wait until we got back to California. I'm in the customer service industry, and I have to say, that theirs was the best I've seen in a really long time. My car wouldn't start so we replaced the battery since it tested bad and it still wouldn't start. So I called Geico to have it towed to Midas, a shop my family has always used. However, the tow truck company called me back and recommended I have it towed to their shop as they would not charge me a diagnostics fee. So I went ahead with their recommendation. It turned out that I needed a new starter. They quoted me $515! Feeling as though I was about to be ripped off, I called the original shop I was recommended to. Their quote was $390. I then called the tow truck's shop back and explained to them how frustrated I was. Long story short, I ended up haggling enough to get them down to $450. Still cost me $60 more by taking their so called advice. I am shocked that Geico is contracted with a company with such low values that takes advantage of people such as myself. They also called me to tell me my car was done and so I got a ride over to the shop, when we got there they said "I'm not sure why they called you it won't be done for another hour". So we went home again and then waited about another 2 hours before getting another call saying it was done. Thankfully, it was actually done that time and we were on our way, never to cross paths with this shop again! read more

well to say the least, that ray sanchez at the sun city exxon towing and his crew are totally rip offs. now on 08/16/17 , i called into the towing company dispatch because my key had broken off in ignition, but mind you my son had removed the broken piece of key from the ignition,. now that means i have both pieces of the broken key. when the tow truck driver marco arrived at the location of my vehicle i then placed both pieces of the broken key in his hand, he then in returned placed the broken key back into the ignition and with the other part of the broken key tried to start the vehicle" very smart i know". now mind you i have free towing for the first 15 miles. they towed my vehicle for approximately 5 miles to home, then the tow truck driver marco told me that he could not drop my vehicle until i paid$190.10 for the locksmith to rekey my broken key, but the locksmith wasn't there at the time, but i trusted this ray sanchez person who went hard for the locksmith deal, so i bought it and got screwed and called a liar by this ray sanchez person, that his tow truck driver marco did not put the broken key back into the ignition and i was there watching him the whole time and today 08/17/17, i then again had talk with mr. ray sanchez and i guess that he thought that i love getting screwed without vasaline. " not" he told me that he could have the same locksmith man come out and fix my vehicle but it was going to cost me another$100.00. well i then contacted customers relations and filed a claim against them. so if you are new comer to sun city exxon towing company don't bother unless you are ready to be ripped off and paying out the ass. damn i can't even give them a zero, so i guess one will have to do. sucks!!! read more

Please don't go here. My truck got towed here after it stopped on me. The new owner Ray Sanchez said they would diagnose it for free. So they called me the next day and told me they need to replace the throttle body and the crank pos sensor my husband was going to take care of the throttle body. He said diagnostic would $120 and if they fix it they would deduct that of the total. Well I had them go ahead and replace the sensor and it was going to be $138.12 part and $144 labor plus $10 shop fee and $8.98 taxes. So I told him out the door is what? I calculated $181.10 and he put me on hold and came back also with that price. I got there the next day to pay and it was $301.82 I told him that is not what we discussed over the phone and he started yelling and raised his voice where I had to get a little loud just so I can say anything. He didn't even take into consideration that's that my 8 year old son right next to me. So we went thru the numbers and he said no he didn't say that and said he can take it out if I didn't want to pay so I told him to take it out and he charged me the $120 diagnostic fee +$10 shop fee. I payed it and they took part off and brought my truck back. My husband and I heard the same thing and he said he didn't say that price. He yelled in front of other customers and as a new owner he should have stuck to what he said. Well my husband just fixed the truck and guess what nothing by the sensor looks disturbed. Usually when someone works on a vehicle its clean or surrounding area is disturbed also. Plus some bolts didn't even get tooken out and you need to to get that part. So imagine if I payed for the whole thing and they didn't do nothing. Please take it from me they are scam artist and I feel bad for all the older people that take there vehicles in. I took my 2002 Honda Odyssey in to have the transmission rebuilt. We had purchased an aftermarket warranty on it so it was not going to cost us anything out of pocket. The first time we dropped the van off it sat there for a week and they didn't get to it. We needed it so we went and picked it up. The second time we dropped it off it sat there for over three weeks without being touched! At first they said another vehicle had come in that had previously been worked on so our vehicle was being bumped. Then they told us that two of their lifts had broken during the same week so they were unable to get to it. The van had been sitting there for three weeks and at that point they said they were going to shoot for having it done that Wednesday (I called on Saturday). My husband called that Wednesday to see if it was done and they told us they had decided not to do the repair and that they had called to tell us that Monday. We had no record of a call or any message left letting us know this. When we went to go pick the car up they remote was not with the key. The manager, Aaron, told my husband that it was not with the key when it was dropped off. That is not true. I gave them the key AND the remote because I wanted to keep them together so it wouldn't get lost. When I called to ask about it, I was accused of insinuating that someone had stolen it when I asked him to ask his employees about it. He was very rude and started arguing with me about it. I finally got him to say that he would check with a couple employees who were not at the shop, but I'm not holding my breath. This remote is $150 to replace and I will be the one getting the short-end-of-the-stick because my husband doesn't drive the van, I do, and he doesn't want to spend the money to replace it. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY! They towed my vehicle and damaged my key and ignition switch. When I confronted the driver, he got very defensive and started saying he did not damage my key. He hanged up. I then call the company and talked to Rob (bigger idiot). Mr. Rob wanted me to provide prove that his driver had broken my key. He actually said, "How did we break your key if the driver use the key to put it in the ignition to put the car in neutral". Exactly, my point Rob. The key was working find when you picked up my car. The problem was when you delivered the car. Obviously the driver used excessive forced to get it out and damaged my key. No wonder why he left the key in the ignition. When I asked Rob why his driver had left the key in the ignition and not under the seat (where he got it from in the first place), he said, "why would he worry about living the key in the ignition, the car doesn't run anyways". So I guess if your car doesn't work they will leave the key in the ignition. Wow! how smart are these people. I called my insurance company and asked to file a complaint. They will follow up with these people. I told my insurance I do not want incompetent people picking up my vehicles, so I asked that they never use this company again when towing my vehicles. Rob did not make any sense. He apparently said he would start an investigation, but the "idiot" did not even ask me for the details of my car, my name, or address. How smart is that Rob? How will you investigate with no details? You dont even know who the driver is. I normally dont use the word "idiot" or any other offensive word, but this guy (Rob) deserves it. I'm in need of a mechanic at the moment, came to yelp looking for one, and was reminded why I'm so worried about anyone touching my car: Mike's Sun City! I took my car to them about 2 years ago and over the space of about 3.5 months they kept my car in their shop for 8 weeks total! The first time I dropped it off, they had it for 4 weeks (after promising it in 2 weeks max!), not even beginning the work on it until they had it for 3 weeks. I was unable to get it back during that time because they still had the engine torn apart from trying to diagnose the problem! Then I had to repeatedly bring it back because it was not repaired correctly. I don't feel like they ever completely fixed it. $3400 later I was left with the feeling of being completely taken advantage of and taken to the cleaners. In my opinion, they do shoddy work in unreasonable time frames. I recommend that you avoid them at all costs! read more
