Based on that, I made a reservation on 4/14/25 for LV213 for the following year (4/9/26-4/13/26). The total confirmed price at booking was $1,913.40. Between August and September 2025, I was in contact with the property through the management portal and Booking.com. At no point was there any indication of pricing issues. On 11/15/25, I received an email from Booking.com stating that the property had informed them the "correct" price should be $4,464 USD -- more than double my confirmed rate. I was given 24 hours to accept this new price or my reservation would be automatically cancelled. After seven months of holding a confirmed reservation, this sudden price increase appears tied to Coachella festival dates being released. When I declined to pay the inflated rate, my reservation was cancelled and refunded without my consent. As a result, I was left without accommodations during a peak weekend and unable to secure comparable lodging at a reasonable price. I had already booked flights and rental car arrangements based on this confirmed reservation. This experience reflects a lack of consumer protection and accountability. While my first stay at Legacy Villas was positive, I cannot recommend booking with this management company due to the risk of confirmed reservations being cancelled for higher pricing opportunities.

We did make a mistake by hiring what we thought was a company that would take care of our new house the way we did. Since we are on a fixed income, one must be creative financially to get ahead. We soon found out that this decision was a big mistake in judgment. Things started to go south from the beginning. A few days before the renters arrived, heavy rains clogged the drains, creating floods in sensitive areas around the house. I came to clear the drains, and I was told I was not welcome there now or anytime during the rental period. There was no explanation, just told in a scolding tone that made me feel that this was no longer my home. We made it clear there were not supposed to be any pets staying at the house. We later discovered three dogs in the house: two Medium-sized dogs and one great Dane. In the contract, we agreed that the two renters, a husband and a wife, would stay at the house. Again, we later found out that, at times, as many as eight people stayed overnight. Mr. Dan Phelan, the President and Founder of Greenday, wrote in writing that he would be 100% responsible for any and all damages that occurred during the rental, so we thought we were covered. When it came time for us to move back in, we found the following problems. A separation in the outside weather screen that blocked the sun and sand from coming in. We later discovered that the company who installed the screen had realized that the separation would only get larger and could not be fixed. It needed to be replaced. The outside cabinet that houses our dishware and silverware had a broken door that needed to be replaced. The hot tub that we were told needed to be drained and cleaned before renters arrived so it would be fresh and clean for them was left over chlorinated, mucky, and dirty. I wrote an email to Mr. Phelan, President and founder of Greenday, and we set up a phone consult about what I thought was an opportunity for us to rectify all the damages he promised to take care of. Instead, it was twenty minutes of him berating me and saying that he had no intention of taking care of any of the problems now that the renters were gone. To add insult to injury, he then told me that if I did not concede to take care of all the damages myself at my own expense while resolving them of everything, he would hold back the last payment for the Month of April. Mind you, Greenday received the entire rental fee from the renters months before they moved in. We took them to court to recoup last month's rental fee and any reimbursement for out-of-pocket expenses. We were awarded the final payment and court costs. Being that going to court for both of us was foreign, It turned out to be a he said, and we said, so the court ruled accordingly. The court did order Greenday to pay us for last month's rent and court fees. Also, the record should be set straight without mentioning names. The two women, who were elderly friends from Chicago, came to the desert in the winter to play cards and stay warm from the severe Chicago Winter. One was a retired schoolteacher. My wife met them while playing cards, and they told her they had a very unpleasant experience with Greenday. I'll leave it at that. Without singling them out, I would gladly give names privately to Greenday to refresh their selective memory. As Paul Harvy would end each broadcast, "And now you know the rest of the story."

They literally have said "we want you happy" and I am! I am a long term tenant which means my experience spans for more than a month at a time so I can attest to a level of service that is consistent and reliable over time. Anything that needs attention/fixing is competently and promptly addressed and resolved that day if not within the hour. Again, this cleaning was order by open air Open air did not send Anyone from the team to come on sight to oversee the damages & cleaning, Open air Instead instructed me to handle and have cleaned whatever I felt like needed to be cleaned. Then open air reimbursed themselves!!!!!! This is only one example of the lack of follow up and oversight which would be expected from the management company.

The grocery stores were close and downtown Palm Springs was just a short drive away. There was a grill so we could bbq and have meals poolside. The bedrooms were spacious and beds very comfortable. The highlight was definitely the outdoor area--lounging by the pool with the stunning mountain backdrop was unforgettable. When contacting VRBO and Sunny Days along with videos/pictures, they would not do anything to fix it as "it did not pose a threat to the security of the home." * Broken furniture in the home. * Dead animal on patio table * Ripped patio furniture * Oven would not open * Did not disclose that cameras and listening devices would be placed inside/outside the home on the listing. * Over charging during booking. After 15 days of constantly calling, they magically found the issue and refunded that amount. The bigger question, is how long have they been overcharging people? Suggestions: * Ask to review the detailed contract before signing a contract. * Sunny Days forces the renter to pay for damage protection but it's not disclosed until AFTER you purchase one from VRBO. I was forced to pay for two damage policies. * Book over 30 days prior so that you can cancel after reading/understanding how they are charging a fee and tax on every line item. * Read/review the Riverside county taxes/wind country taxes/transient taxes that can be charged. For example, you will be charged taxes on top of a listing fee, pet fee, spa heating fee, and yes... they can charge you taxes on linens. Hence for the recommendation to review the many charges prior to committing. * Always remember there's the BBB/Better Business Bureau and the Federal Trade Commission to report fraud companies like Sunny Days. My family and I left the property within 12 hours because we felt unsafe and violated. Sadly we lost our money. I'm hoping this review can help others not have the same experience.

Everything was slightly off about the place. The worst part was the washer broke, then they promised to pick up laundry and then never came. Once we went to go pay for our own laundry they almost didn't want to reimburse until we pushed hard. All of this I put in a fair 2 star review. Few days ago, I started receiving weird messages from Airbnb. Someone had apparently started calling Airbnb pretending to be me to remove my review. This happened 5-10 times. Then, I got a message from a WhatsApp number in PAKISTAN asking me to take down my review for a discount with Helios properties. After I went "what is this?" they deleted their messages.
