Everything on the menu is delicious, the staff is wonderful, and they stand up to bigotry in their own backyard. You can't get much better than that. As Sub Cultured is a walk-up window, there's some outside tables to sit, as well as the option of sitting in your car for that car-hop action. Otherwise, you're so close to the beach and parks that taking your sandwiches for a picnic isn't a bad idea either. If you can't find parking immediately at Sub Cultured, there's a little shopping center just next door since there doesn't seem to be much for street parking outside of their handful of spots. All of that said, I'm a transplant to Jacksonville via the Navy since 2004. One of the biggest cravings that I have from back home is a real authentic sausage, pepper, and onion grinder. I can't even begin to describe to y'all how great Sub Cultured's is with that spicy Italian sausage and perfectly cooked peppers and onions. Add a little spicy brown mustard and you're all set.

Sun Deli: A Disappointing Lunch Experience Location: Sun Deli, 1011 3rd St S, Jacksonville Beach, FL 32250 I recently had the unfortunate experience of having lunch at Sun Deli, and I must say, it was a letdown in many aspects. My primary gripe lies with the price of their drinks and their lackluster customer service. To start, I ordered a medium iced tea, expecting a refreshing beverage to complement my meal. Imagine my shock when I discovered that this medium iced tea cost a staggering $3.54! Considering the minimal cost of the tea and the styrofoam cup it was served in, this price is simply outrageous. It's hard to justify such a markup on a basic drink. Adding to my frustration, I requested an extra cup to get some water for my wife, who was waiting in the car. To my disbelief, they informed me that they would have to charge me for the extra cup. This seemed excessive, especially after already paying an inflated price for the iced tea. If you want water, they'll gladly sell you a bottle but don't expect any free accommodations. They did mention that you could get water at the soda fountain if you brought your own cup, but this seemed like a half-hearted solution at best. As for the food, it was marginal at best. The sandwich I ordered was barely edible. Given the quality of the meal, it felt like a waste of time and money. The overall atmosphere of the deli was equally disappointing. The staff who took my order were dismissive and unfriendly, which only added to the negative experience. It's clear that customer satisfaction is not a priority at Sun Deli. In conclusion, I highly recommend skipping Sun Deli as a lunch option. Overpriced drinks, barely edible food, and poor customer service make this a place to avoid. There are certainly better alternatives in the Jacksonville Beach area that offer better value and a more pleasant dining experience. I won't be going back. read more

First time here, will be the last time. WORST SERVICE EVER! I like to support local business and this is why I would drive an extra 5-10 min passing firehouse subs to this deli but they have completely lost my business today! I order two sandwiches from here. One was for my co worker and one was for me. When I brought it back to work, I realize my sandwich got cheese in it. I'm very allergic to dairy. I called and asked if the owner could remake the sandwich. She told me to take off* the melted cheese off my sandwich myself, even know I told her that I was allergic to dairy. I can't believe someone who works in a restaurant would said that to their customer. I don't thinks she understand what an allergy can do to a person. She's insist that I should go head eat the sandwich that I'm allergic to. I'm not trying to get into a Anaphylaxis shock eating a sandwich thats poison to me. read more
