Dr. Todd is the caricature of a doctor who will talk down to you and tell you what you have to have regardless of what you are telling her you want and need. I know better than she, that cataract surgery is in my near future, but she felt it was her duty to lecture me non-stop on how I need to stop driving and that I am a danger on the road, forgetting that she was testing my eyes without my glasses. Wearing contacts or glasses I see very well and have no problem driving. At one point Dr. Todd even said to me, "If you were my mother, I wouldn't let you drive". All i could think was, goodness help me if she were my daughter. It wasn't until the next day, when I went online to order my contacts that I found she actually wrote a prescription for glasses! Again, doing what she wants, not what I want. NEVER GOING BACK!

They charges me a copay of $161 even though I told them that my copay is $15. Then they added a test with one of the machines that I would have had to pay for out of pocket - when I declined they told me that the already processed the insurance for it - I told them they better cancel it. Fast forward to May of this year - I had some blurriness in one eye and felt it warranted an exam - they refused to fit me even though I described the symptoms. Fortunately Dr. Salem at new insight was able to get me in immediately and diagnosed with me a retinal detachment for which I needed immediate emergency surgery. I would NEVER go back to MYEYEDR.

On April 9, 2026 at 5:30 PM. I arrived at the eye clinic, got my exam and ordered glasses. I bought…read morea pair of casual glasses and a pair of sport sunglasses for fishing, both progressives. I received the glasses about 1.5 weeks later. The casuals were ok, the sports were another issue. Because the sports were rounded, the progressives did not work. I think that should have been known before I was sold a 1000.00 pair of sport sunglasses. Another 1.5 weeks later, I got bifocal sport sunglasses, with another expensive frame. The distance/bifocal lenses were wrong. Another issue is polarization, the lenses looked to be scorched, or damaged at several different points of the lenses. I was told by the office manager that was normal. I've bought polarized glasses before, and never seen that type of a defect. I waited another 1.5 weeks for a single vision lense sport sunglasses, they too were polarized, but no marks, interesting. However the long distance vision in the lenses does not appear to be correct either. I have done some research and found that polarization in some glasses affects the vision. Another miss? So, I went from a rounded feature that did not work for progressive type lenses, to a bifocal that had the wrong strength lenses, to a single vision lense that still appears to not be correct. I asked the sales consultant, is there a difference in price for the lense changes? I was told no change according to my insurance. Hm, unfortunate I told her. After waiting a month and a week, my sport sunglasses do not appear to be correct. I like Dr. Strebig, but the office staff is not so willing to mitigate problems with care and concern. I've never had any issues like this before, and not will to go back to that type of run-around again. I have been a customer here for a few years, did not lose my cool or disrespect anyone, not my style, but I do not feel I was treated well as a customer. This is a multi-specialty practice; we have retina, plastics, neuro-ophthalmology, pediatrics, glaucoma, cornea, and comprehensive ophthalmology. The doctors actually care about you and will spend time with you. If you find you're waiting a while, it's most likely because the doctor is spending a little more time with someone who needs it. Try to be understanding. Full service optical shops in each location.

I procrastinated and waited to get them two days before I went on a long trip. I asked if there was any way I could get them the next day but they said it would take at least 4 days for the glasses to come in. There are repeated reminders sent to your email and text telling you your exam is due. The reminders are relentless in time and do not stop until you shout out to staff to remove them. The staff seem to lack a certain professionalism in the fitting of glasses and appear to be more concerned with telling one how good they look rather then checking on fit. When picking up glasses they no longer have you read anything to double check if they are appropriate for you and you are no longer given eye care washes via spray for cleaning.
