Dr. Todd is the caricature of a doctor who will talk down to you and tell you what you have to have regardless of what you are telling her you want and need. I know better than she, that cataract surgery is in my near future, but she felt it was her duty to lecture me non-stop on how I need to stop driving and that I am a danger on the road, forgetting that she was testing my eyes without my glasses. Wearing contacts or glasses I see very well and have no problem driving. At one point Dr. Todd even said to me, "If you were my mother, I wouldn't let you drive". All i could think was, goodness help me if she were my daughter. It wasn't until the next day, when I went online to order my contacts that I found she actually wrote a prescription for glasses! Again, doing what she wants, not what I want. NEVER GOING BACK!

They charges me a copay of $161 even though I told them that my copay is $15. Then they added a test with one of the machines that I would have had to pay for out of pocket - when I declined they told me that the already processed the insurance for it - I told them they better cancel it. Fast forward to May of this year - I had some blurriness in one eye and felt it warranted an exam - they refused to fit me even though I described the symptoms. Fortunately Dr. Salem at new insight was able to get me in immediately and diagnosed with me a retinal detachment for which I needed immediate emergency surgery. I would NEVER go back to MYEYEDR.

However, since the sellout of the practice there have been changes in operations of the business that are concerning. There are repeated reminders sent to your email and text telling you your exam is due. The reminders are relentless in time and do not stop until you shout out to staff to remove them. The staff seem to lack a certain professionalism in the fitting of glasses and appear to be more concerned with telling one how good they look rather then checking on fit. When picking up glasses they no longer have you read anything to double check if they are appropriate for you and you are no longer given eye care washes via spray for cleaning.

The medication made the difference between possibly needing surgery for the underlying infection. In addition, Dr. Ulc gave me specific home treatments that helped expedite healing. Dr. Ulc not only spent an extensive amount of time with me during my initial visit, but also personally followed up with me to check on my progress. I highly recommend Dr. Ulc. This is the worst optometrist I've ever been to. They could not get my prescription right for both…read morereading and distance. They told me my eyes needed time to adjust? I've had glasses for almost all of my adult life and ever had an optometrist say that to me--also never once had an issue with the strength of my prescription at any other place. I went back for two follow up appointments to try to get this corrected. One set of lenses was adjusted, but I still cannot see clearly out of them. The glasses are also crooked even after that was "fixed". The other lenses were never adjusted. Then they tried to charge me $145 for one of the follow up appointments. I didn't pay and they let that go, so at least there's that. But I'm still out of a lot of money for useless glasses. I would never recommend this place to anyone. Actually the exact opposite.

Please stay away from this location…read more I have been bringing my daughter here for years, literally years. & Today we go and I tell them everything is the same as it's always been. They do her exam & we go sit down for them to order the glasses and they gave me paperwork for me sign something saying insurance will cover this and that... please keep in mind that I stated numerous times that the insurance doesn't sound right as my husbands insurance through work was no longer active. They said it's pulling up so let them pay. Okay cool. I go to sign paperwork and my daughter's first name is spelled correctly, her last name isn't. My daughter's birthdate is wrong... they initially told me that the woman just copied it over wrong & it's fine... then she begins looking back and forth a bit more closely and finds that the last name is spelled this "incorrect" way... then they ask me if my name is Crystal and I say no. Suddenly everything that was covered through insurance needs to be paid. We cancelled ordering glasses with the understanding that I would just order online and then they tried to charge me for today's visit. They tried justifying it by saying they were reimbursing me for something from our previous visit that should never have been ordered to begin with. I made it clear that I wasn't paying because she has insurance that they apparently no longer take & it's not on me that they ran the wrong one. I did walk out with my refund from the previous visit and I plan to reschedule my daughter's visit with another business. Any business that is okay with brushing off the fact that they were running the wrong insurance as if it's no big deal and has still tried to run it in the beginning is shady. Really makes me wonder what they've been up to. I do intend to report them because this is not okay.
