Agapi Bistro has officially become one of my favorite restaurants in Pensacola…read more We had originally planned to visit a few months ago, but I'm actually glad we waited because part of their menu changes monthly, and this month featured Hawaiian-inspired fare. Not traditional Hawaiian mixed-plate style, but an elevated interpretation that was absolutely superb. We started with the fresh-made baguette, served with butter, pesto and EVOO. Fantastic combination and a great start to the meal. For mezze, we ordered the Huli Huli chicken and Spam Musubi Bao. Both were packed with flavor and easily dishes I would order again. We split the grilled pork collar for our entrée, which was excellent, but the sweet potatoes accompanying it nearly stole the show. I could have eaten an entire plate of those alone. Despite being completely full, we finished with the brown butter lemon bar, which was rich, bright and absolutely worth finding room for. The service matched the quality of the food. Our waitress was genuinely delightful--attentive, personable, funny and engaging without being intrusive. She made an already enjoyable dinner even better. I don't drink much anymore, but I also took notice of the wine selection. As someone who spent years around Napa County wine country, I can be a bit of a wine snob, and Agapi has a surprisingly extensive and well-curated list. Pensacola has some genuinely good culinary experiences, and Agapi is absolutely one of them. Creative food, excellent execution, great service and an atmosphere that made for a wonderful night out. We'll definitely be back.

The Greek meatballs and pita with humans (also in happy hour menu) were good, and a great value. I had the scamp with crab meat cream sauce, was outstanding but very rich. Pork meatballs with homemade pasta wasn't my cup of tea, but adult son was impressed. The veal Boca was great (healthy portion also), as was the chicken. The service was excellent. Very attentive and reasonable fast. The restaurant is a small venue, nicely decorated. A tad loud, but not a problem. The happy hour options makes eating at a very nice restaurant more affordable. Available 4-6 Tuesday to Thursday.

From the moment we arrived, Melissa provided some of the best service we've experienced in a long time. She took incredible care of our entire party, including our 6-month-old daughter. As any parent knows, dining out with a baby can sometimes be challenging, but Melissa made us feel completely welcome and comfortable throughout the evening. We enjoyed wine, appetizers, and several entrées, and she was wonderful about accommodating customizations and special requests. What really stood out was how genuinely kind and engaging she was with our baby and she took time to play with her, made her smile and giggle, and truly helped make the night special for our whole family. The food was fantastic, the views are absolutely incredible, and the atmosphere is hard to beat. The outdoor patio and bar area are especially beautiful. After dinner, Melissa helped us relocate outside where we enjoyed more wine and dessert while taking in the view. And whatever you do, don't skip the crème brûlée, it was the perfect ending to an already amazing meal! The entire team was friendly, welcoming, and attentive, and the level of hospitality we experienced was exceptional. Between the delicious food, stunning waterfront setting, and outstanding service from Melissa, this was one of the highlights of our trip. We'll absolutely be back the next time we're in Pensacola. Thank you, Melissa and the DRIFT team, for such a memorable evening!

I had a lovely experience at Drift…read more The views of the Gulf are beautiful and the decor is classic and coastal. Most patrons wore dressy beach attire - sundresses for ladies and nice shorts or slacks for the guys. Our server was wonderful! He was attentive, friendly and knowledgeable of that menu. The food was good. I had the lamb chops appetizer and peach burrata salad as my main. The chops were overdone, but the flavor was nice, and the asparagus that came with was yummy. I loved the salad and would order it again. The tuna poke appetizer was a toss up. The tuna was delicious, but the crabmeat was so disappointing. It had the consistency and flavor of canned crab. I'm not saying for sure that it was canned, but with all of the fresh options, I just thought I'd get really good crabmeat. My husband had the catch of the day, which I think was sea bass. It was delicious! The fish tasted super fresh and was perfectly seasoned. For dessert we had the chocolate cake. It was so dry - as if it had been frozen or something. Overall, our experience was positive.

We look forward to coming back every year, and it never disappoints. Aaron was our server a few weeks ago and was absolutely fantastic. He took the time to explain all of the specials thoroughly, gave us some great recommendations, and was incredibly attentive throughout our entire meal. You can tell he genuinely knows the menu and wants his guests to have a great experience. As for the food, the miso scallops are an absolute must and, hands down, my favorite thing on the menu! My boyfriend always gets a steak, and they are consistently cooked to perfection. Definitely make sure to try the salmon crudo and oysters as well- they're both delicious. And whatever you do, save room for a dessert cocktail! The limoncello carajillo is absolutely delicious and the perfect way to end the meal. This is one of those places we come back to year after year, and it's always a highlight of our trip. Great food, great service, and such a memorable experience every time! Side note- please keep the Dolce Vita martini on the menu forever!

Dirty martini was excellent, Kumamoto oysters and all accompaniment's were delicious. Where they fell short...we ordered salmon crudo at the same time that we ordered oysters and there was a very long delay between the two, our waitress even came over twice to reassure us that the crudo was coming. But...our entrees were brought out before the crudo. kind of defeats the purpose of a cold crudo when you're eating it with your hot entree :-( We were comped a dessert, which we would have ordered anyway...to add insult to injury, my snapper was overcooked and dry! DH said his scallops were delicious, but lacked the promised orange flavor. Funny/not funny, eating the crudo left me disappointed and wishing for a better experience. I actually continued to think about it when I got home, it bothered me that much. Not sure what the restaurant could have done differently...as they say, timing is everything! $216 + tip = $258.19 for dinner for 2...I should not leave disappointed.
