We love Sun King beer. The new Sun King in Westfield is ideally located on the north side of Grand Junction Park. The building is super upscale with lots of open space. There are two levels and two different food menus. Downstairs, Stackedhouse, serves burgers, tenderloins and bar food. Upstairs, there is a Mediterranean menu starting at 5:00. Seating outside on the patio accommodates kids and dogs. We sat at the bar with views of the park. I ordered a "mystery" flight which included four beers. I liked all four and it gave me a chance to taste beers that I normally would not. I loved the "Lions in Love" with hints of watermelon and hibiscus. The bartender was super friendly and described the layout of the bar. She encouraged us to check out the upstairs cozy area. The walls are covered with art by local artists that are for sale. A gift shop on the end of the building sells tee shirts and other Sun King logo gifts. You can also purchase beer carryout. There is a convenient parking garage adjacent to the building which offers free three hour parking. I'll be back soon to try out the sandwich menu. The happy hour menu is awesome. read more

What a cool vibe and concept! We had a great time in our visit. You pick your own seat, there are two levels plus outdoor space upstairs. Then you have Midtown Plaza right out front to go enjoy the outdoor games and tv or send the kids there. We picked a table on the first floor by the window. A bartender came and took our order, and we received our drinks right away. I was debating the pickle beer or a flight, but the bartender just brought us a taster of both the dill and spicy pickle drafts. The spicy was amazing. Either would be great along side of a Bloody Mary! The Sunlight was also delicious. We only stayed as long as it took to drink one beer and have dinner, but if I lived in Carmel, this would be a go to place! There are three restaurants inside. We tried La Margarita where I got the chicken tinga salad and my friend got the adobo chicken bowl. We loved both! I would order from there again for sure, but we heard from other friends that the pizza is delicious as well. Must try if you are in the Carmel area. Stopped in to eat at the Stacked House, and as soon as I sat down, I was greeted by Alleigh, who asked if I'd like a drink from the Sun King side. I mentioned that it was too hot for a drink, and she immediately told me they had slushies and even offered me a sample. The Pachangarita was absolutely delicious. The perfect frozen drink for a hot summer day. What really made the visit enjoyable was Alleigh's outstanding customer service. Her warm personality, attentiveness, and genuine friendliness were refreshing at a time when great customer service can be hard to find. She made the entire visit enjoyable and is the kind of person who makes you want to come back just to experience her kind, welcoming spirit again. Nice addition to Westfield! The location is terrific - easy to get to from the Midland Trace trail, and also convenient from 32 and 31. The atmosphere is fantastic, with two outside seating areas and a gorgeous upstairs bar with plenty of barstools. The food is ordered from a counter (separate from Sun King) and it was okay. Nothing so special that I would be running back for it. Beers were good, cocktails just okay, so maybe stick with beers (it IS a brewery). Service was really slow, but it was the first nice day in a while and they were very busy. Still we waited 15 minutes for a beer which is pretty bad. How exciting that Westfield now has its very own Sun King! I arrived for the Grand Opening today and was happy to see the have an outdoor fire pit and plenty of patio seating just in time for patio weather. There's an upstairs patio as well. The downstairs lower left side is dog friendly. Yay! I'm a fan of sour beer an THC drinks. I ordered the Cherry Busey Sour. Yum! Thank you for the goodie bag and warm welcome! This was our first time at the new Westfield location and it is absolutely gorgeous. It's a great setup and a huge space for everyone. The beer and cocktail were fantastic. We sipped while enjoying the view of the park and concert venue. The sun felt great and it was so relaxing. Our server was the kindest and she had some good reccs on the drinks. The food smelled fantastic, but we didn't get any of this trip. We will have to come back to have food and enjoy the nightlife soon! read more

You can't go wrong with a Sunking - it's always crowded and a great family friendly place. Their drinks and their beer are kinda a classic at this point. They released a new light lager and it's by far my favorite beer now - not as heavy or filling as the cream ale or pachanga. The vibe of this one matches all of the other locations and the location is one of the best things about most of the Sun Kings - they're all in a downtown and right where all the action is, but I do not like this one's food menu. They have one main menu that everybody orders off of inside and I felt like just classic American food. I love how the caramel went set up with different types of foods and stations so that's my only negative about this location. We've still been here multiple times and will continue to come, and we have had the burger, which was great - I just miss the amount of options that the other locations have. read more

UPDATE: I stopped in for a second try last week with a friend. (I didn't know someone had responded to my original review until I updated this.) It was a MUCH better experience overall. First of all, I was greeted and offered a drink while I waited for my friend to show up. Then I was greeted a second time by a lady who was being trained. The digital menu screen did not seem to change as quickly, so it was a little easier to choose your meal. While I ordered at the kiosk my friend got personal service at the register. (The register was not staffed on the last visit.) It was a short wait for our food. I went to the window, showed my receipt, and was handed a tray. As I walked away I realized it didn't look right- I was given someone else's burger instead of the pulled pork sandwich I had ordered. (First major fail of the day.) I took the tray back and was given the proper one- hopefully they remade the other person's food. The pork sandwich was good. I could have used a little more BBQ on it, but it had a nice flavor and the pineapple slice was an excellent addition. Staff came to our table a couple of times while we ate, and checked on us while we hung around after eating. A definite improvement from the first visit. Overall, I'm glad I gave it another try. They need to keep an eye on what is coming out of the kitchen so that people get the right food, but overall, it was ok. The menu is still quite small and not very diverse. I wish they would add something like a buffalo chicken sandwich (chicken breast tossed in hot sauce). read more

This is a workaraunt, order at kiosk, pick up your own food. Food is different vender than SunKing which is just the drinks side. Nothing special for ambience, basic high top bar tables. Food was average, drinks were average. Nothing I can't do myself at home so won't bother with hassle of traffics to come back anytime soon. read more

We've been big fans of the Sun King in Carmel (on the Monon) since it opened, and we were hoping for a similar experience at the new Westfield location. We didn't get that. We ended up walking out. The food options are extremely limited, and after walking up three flights of stairs to get to the upper level, it appears the upstairs has no food that you can order there. I didn't get the full story, but it's something about how the upstairs is a seating area only for those who ordered food downstairs, and you can't just go up there and sit at a table. ?!?!? I have no idea, but the couple in front of us left in disgust, and we did the same. They should probably get things figured out a little better. Whatever the ordering/seating system is there, it's weird and it's not intuitive. We'll stick to the Carmel and Fishers locations. I'm sure management will message me and try to explain, but instead, I suggest putting that energy into re-thinking your layout, re-thinking the human-less kiosks, and re-thinking what generally appears to be a goat rodeo. The Carmel location couldn't be any easier: You order food from one of several restaurants. You receive your food, You sit down somewhere and eat your food. It's not brain surgery. read more

the food was really good! I absolutely loved the Black & Blue burger, and the fries were excellent too. They tasted a lot like Rally's/Checkers fries. We also tried the Sin Nombre Nachos they were good and decent, but not something I'd obsess over. The kids had milkshakes (two chocolate and one strawberry), and they were actually pretty good! Two of them ordered butter noodles with fries they probably won't get that again. Nothing wrong with it, but it felt a little plain. Most places at least sprinkle a bit of salt and Italian seasoning on top. The other kid and my wife both got regular burgers. Overall, it was a solid experience. We went on a beautiful Sunday evening around 5pm and the place wasn't crowded at all. Everything felt clean, and the service was smooth. We even met Ollie, the owner of Stacked House. He was super polite and took time to show us how everything works. From what I understand, Sun King and Stacked House operate together. On the ground level, you can order at the kiosk or from the staff member at the second kiosk right next to it. When your food is ready, they text your number and call out your name. It ran very smoothly today because it was slow I'm curious how it holds up on a busy day. They also explained that the upstairs level offers a more "elevated experience" with table service and waiters bringing food to your table. That sounds interesting! I definitely plan to come back on a busier day to test the consistency on food quality, staff engagement, and overall vibe when it's busier. read more

I'm going to start with what's good. My complaint is probably not something everybody cares about. We've been visiting Sun King since there was only one in downtown Indy. We've always had positive experiences. There are plenty of reasons to visit this location. 1. The view from upstairs: The park by Union St. in Westfield is gorgeous. The city has done a great job and the upstairs seating area overlooks it. If the weather is nice, it's a fantastic place to sit. 2. The cocktails were fine. The beer is always good. 3. Our server was great -- friendly and attentive. When we walked in, we walked by the burger place. The food looked great. If we hadn't just eaten, we definitely would have chosen that. My wife and I agreed that next time we were here, that's what we were eating. Overall, it was a very pleasant visit. The next morning -- less than twelve hours later -- I have a spam ad for the burger place in my inbox. Yes, I understand that we're under constant surveillance by our phones. I understand how it's used for marketing. I really don't give a crap. It doesn't bother me the tiniest bit. The thing is that email address is not connected to anything on either of our phones. It is connected to our bank and I know that various payment apps have it. So, because I payed with my debit card, I was served an intrusive ad by whatever payment system they're using. I've used this card for decades and this is the first time this has happened. It's not that huge a deal, but it added a layer of slime to an otherwise positive experience. I will now *not* come back to try the burger place, because I cannot -- on principle -- reward spammers. There are plenty of other great burgers in the area that I can enjoy without being subjected to creepy, invasive marketing tactics. I'm happy to update my review if I get the sense that someone cares. read more
