Great RV park! Pools are wonderful. Quiet park for the amount of people. Lots to do like bowl, pool, bingo, and keriokee at times.

One of the dirtiest places I have ever stayed. The cabins were absolutely disgusting and there was apparently some sewage overflow or something as the entire campground smelled like poo. One of the folks that lives nearby I was talking to said there are frequent sewer issues. Stay far away. read more

We are here with my in-laws visiting. The front office staff has made me feel nothing but unwelcome. The amenities are nice, for what's open. Beach shuttle isn't running. The advertised lazy river and water slides are still being constructed. All of that is fine, if it wasn't for the unwelcome feeling of being here. We will find another campground to use, purely based on being asked nonstop if we were on the spots guest list, which I am. Even with the hanging tag pulling in we were stopped and asked to review it. I would seriously consider another location. read more

We stayed here the weekend and had the best family time and fellowship with friends I would definitely be going back here! They had a lot of activities for the kids. We didn't hardly see them all weekend they had so much fun!! The food at the pool and restaurants is good! I highly recommend renting a golf cart easier to get around. We stayed in B106 and loved the location! The kids could walk to the basketball court. We cooked on the grill that was provided by the facility. Just need to bring your own charcoal. Highly recommend bringing your own towels and beach towels unless you want to keep washing the two big towels they provide for you. Also being extra blankets it gets cold in the houses at night. read more

My family and a family of our friends cancelled our Disney vacation due to the COVID19 restrictions and not being able to have our children enjoy the full experience of Disney. Our vacation was scheduled for 9/26-10/3. What to do now? We choose Carolina Pines RV Resort. This was not camping, this was "glamping" at its finest. Check-in was easy. Sites are large and well maintained. I believe every site was fully concrete or at minimum had a concrete pad. Everything about Carolina Pines was amazing. So many things to do, you do not have to leave the resort. From the café to the store, activities for the kids to include an AstroTurf style mini football/soccer field area, basketball court, pools, splashpad, waterslides, mini-bowling, an arcade, billiard room, and then some. There was a Yogi room, Fitness Lab if you want to maintain. There were probably amenities we missed. The café and the food were amazing and affordable. First time I had southern style BBQ wings. I could have eaten 50. The "General Store" was well maintained and stocked. While I see some other reviews complained about the staff, we had no issues. Every staff member we ran into was polite and courteous. I cannot say enough about Carolina Pines. My only complaint was the hand sanitizer stations. I came across a few that were empty for a few days and there was not one even in the mini-bowling area. These stations need to be checked a few times a day. With all that said, we cannot wait to go back. We are looking forward to the "Lazy River" you are about to break ground on. Thank you Carolina Pines RV Resort for your hospitality. I was very impressed with this rv park and the cabins. We rented a cabin and were there from fri-mon. They had people helping and directing traffic at check-in as everyone was getting there at the same time. I love how they do activities for the Halloween but it was crazy. They had tables set up and just out the supplies on the table with no employees there to explain what to do or just to keep people from just taking the items and walking off with all the supplies. Example: pumpkin painting, paint was sitting in a box on the table and the pumpkins were located away from the table so all of sudden people start getting their own pumpkins or even one lady took about 10 pumpkins and had no kids even with her. So anyway once people got their pumpkins and couldn't get room at the table they start fling paint and pushing others so they can do the craft yet we are supposed to be social distancing. This place doesn't social distance at all in fact and even though it says to wear masks especially in the store, not one employee was seen wearing a mask at all. They had these nice wooden swings with crushions, while my daughter and I were swinging a lady walked by and told us to stop swinging or we would cause it to fall. I realized she was an employee so we stopped swinging but yet there is kids running around in the fitness center messing with the equipment which is more dangerous then us swinging. If you decide to go and take your kids, please don't be those parents who just let their kids run around wild cause problems. They come up with activities for all ages yet for some reason on Sunday there is really no structure or planning going into them. Seems like the activies are more the younger employees hanging out and chilling with their friends. Another thing that they need to focus on is cleaning service should mop the cabin floors. I'm going to provide a positive and negative review in the hopes that the investors in this massive resort listens to a customer. Positives : Check in was seamless Food delivery to the site was awesome Food quality was amazing. We had pizza and wings. Actually two nights in a row. Again food gets 10 stars. Site was amazing Amenities amazing. Ok if you can bear with me. I have a few negatives that may help you in the future. We intentionally didn't bring anything. 1. Your store is not on your map. We went to the circle K to buy supplies which were mostly sold out because , I can only guess we are not alone. 2. I rented a golf cart about midway Saturday. It was seamless. I really enjoyed visiting with fellow campers. As we were riding from A095 to the store there was three of your staff in carts blocking the road talking. I just sat there and waited. While it may have been just a few minutes. It is a resort and I am a customer. 3. At 1101 am. I took my two young kids to the window to get them an ice cream. The young lady appeared to be counting her drawer and " I'm not making this up". Literally have my wife the hand. My wife looks at me and says "I know she did not " I said yep. 4. On the way back from the store sometime around 6 pm. The cart died. So I push my wife and kids from the area of the lift station to site a95. The following times are approximate. 6 pm ish. We call the front desk. Closed 625 ish call after hours left message 7 ish get a call basically saying did u plug it in and make sure that you open the seat and flip the tow hail switch. Full disclosure I was tired and did not care so I said don't worry about it we are not riding any more tonight. She says ok goodnight Wake up Sunday morning cart doesn't work. Called front desk . Guy comes out. Yep. I should have flipped the tow haul switch. He did. Cart worked. I was on vacation. I didn't keep accurate records. Not sure I'll be back sorry. One last thing. My wife really is interested in the tiny homes. So she filled out the online survey and called about them. It's been over three days and no one has responded. We have stayed here every year since they opened. It keeps getting better every year. Great family environment with plenty to do from water parks and slides to lazy river and an outdoor bar if you want a cocktail while swimming or sitting by the pool. Yes! There are two other pools for the adults and kids and also a smaller pool and hot tub for adults only. Some nights there is a live band and DJ playing with sofas or bring your own lawn chair to sit on the artificial grass in the center square with a restaurant or snack bar to enjoy as you relax. There is a country store, arcades, bowling alley too! There is also a club room with pool tables inside. So much to do and I am sure I am missing several others things like the basketball courts and area where the staff organizes wiggle ball or dodge ball for the kids and adults to play. Did you say putt putt golf? Yes! They have that too and several other lawn games. Highly recommend this place. You won't be disappointed. read more

THE WATERPARK WILL NEVER BE OPEN AUGUST 1st AS STATED IN THEIR WEBSITE This campground took everyone's reservations an money an only had one small pool n small playground open to accommodate 30 people. There are Approximately 500 sites open. No amenities are open yet. No shuffleboard courts even constructed in section A shown on the map. The other shuffleboard was still under construction with caution tape around it. Other pools not open. They opened way to early. Alot of disappointed campers to say the least. Management not doing a good job at handeling the frustration. Alot of bad talk around the campground . When we made reservations the rules stated you could use your own personal golfcart with insurance. (See pic). When we drove 8 hours an arrived the the first words out of the gentleman's mouth was not Welcome but "You can't use that golfcart here." The rules changed an no one bothered to call. Also it says up to 6 people on site for $90+tax. They charged me $10 extra per person per night after 2 people. The only reason that I found this out is because my neighbor told me they overcharged him $80. So they never informed me of overcharging me. I went down to get my refund an told the lady what my neighbor had said an I ask her are you not refunding customers automatically. Her response was a blank stare an never said a word except to write down how much was owed an they would email me my refund. So there is alot of campers that are not getting refunded unless they find out an go down an request it. Bottomline this park should have called everyone an informed them of the construction going in an nothing being ready. Very poor management here. None of the workers know what's going on. They just keep saying soft opening. Well even that should have had more amenities open for $100 a night. Our family has spent a month (March) at CP for the last two years (also camped here in an RV in 2021) and have booked for 2024. We love the onsite amenities, park layout, friendly staff, shuttle service to many local hot spots, and the overall vibe of the resort. I work remotely during my time there and have had to use my own wifi hotspot for solid connectivity (hence the 4 stars and not 5). I learned in the first year that I would need to manage my own wifi, so this year I made the adjustments. They desperately need to upgrade their wifi capacity, but I know that is a project in progress so next year I am sure the experience will be better. Most guests are very friendly and respectful, but there are instances where young guests can get out of hand and cause trouble. Many would like to blame the staff for not policing the bad behavior, but IMO that job is for the parents. Personal responsibility should be a given...but that notion falls flat on some people. We are looking forward to our next stay at CP (aka Sun Outdoors Myrtle Beach). read more

Overall rating 4.8. Our family absolutely loved this place. We stayed the second week in August. The rating deductions were merely based on our opinions of course and things we noticed that could be different. Here they are. Opening and closings should be more clearly marked for family activities. We were never really sure when the activities such as golf closed and wished they stayed open maybe til 10 instead 9. That seems small but it's hot at 12 in the afternoon and we'd rather do that after dinner and the pool day. Our family didn't particularly care about the COVID specifically but considering the environment the hand sanitizers were limited and rarely full. Also, considering the environment the cabin though super adorable and fairly clean; had hair in the bathroom and cobwebs throughout the cabin when we arrived. Now I usually have wipes to wipe down the areas upon arriving but it's hard to come by and I forgot my spray stuff. We managed with baby wipes. That being said though, we still are fairly pleased and were blown away by the amenities. The cabin does provide basis necessities such as plates, utensils (no tongs for the grill though) and cups. They have cool things to do for the kids every day. Drinks were reasonably priced. Staff seemed very nice when we interacted with them. We will definitely be staying again. Now this for management. As my husband and I were working out my husband noticed mold all over the windows in the gym. As you came in it smelled so bad. He said what is on the surface is only amplified behind the walls. So this will require a gut job and closure to fix. Again, I'm a fan. read more

We really enjoyed our two nights at this park (Sat-Mon) 4/17-19. Camp site was very clean with level concrete parking and manicured lawn although a little small. There was hot enough room to park two vehicles. The facilities was clean with plenty of activities for a fun visit. Food was very good and service was great. The shuttle to the beach is wonderful and the Beach Club facilities are very nice. The only problem I have with this resort (and I now see that many others have had) is that you can't get anyone to answer the phone. I had a problem arise and thought that I would have to cancel or change my reservation. I made two calls on Wednesday that went directly to voice mail. I left messages requesting a return call to address my concern. No reply. So I called again on Thursday morning, this time I was allowed to hold while for about ten minutes while they were busy and they transferred back to voice mail. I again left a request that they call me to address my concern and I let them know that I had left messages the previous day. Again, no reply. I'm happy to say that we were able to visit as scheduled and will probably visit again with our grandkids. Although I have absolutely nothing good to say about customer support when it comes to answering the phone because they don't. read more

We have been RV camping for over 15 years and have stayed at all types of resorts. For my fellow campers I would like to offer some feedback both positive and negative. First the pros: 1. The premium sites are large, level, and worth the money. 2. Check in, parking, and set up was a breeze. 3. All of the amenities are brand new, and beautiful. They all appear to be well-maintained so far. 4. There is a gentleman named Mike that supervises many of the activities for children. He is positively fabulous! Can't say enough great things about him! 5. Restaurant (drinks and food) are really very good. Now for the cons: 1. There is NO serenity at the "Serenity Pool". It's a great concept to have a separate pool for those that would like a little bit more of a relaxing environment, but Carolina Pines has no rules that prohibit small children or rambunctious behavior. We were told that "it was my problem" by one of the staff members (Les). He also said that while I was not the first person to complain about this, there is no plan to change because they need the pool space. So my $18 cocktail ended up with pool water in it and no one cared 2. I called about this situation and the staff response/lack there of, and spoke with someone named Barb. She was seemingly very frustrated and angry that I would be complaining, but took down my name, phone number, and site number for a member of management to "get back with me." I just checked out and 24 hours have passed and I am STILL waiting to be contacted! 3. They definitely seem be short staffed. Though to be fair, this may be directly related to the current Covid situation. The staff that is here could definitely benefit from customer service training. Very few smiled or greeted us. A few were great, Mike (mentioned earlier) and the gentleman that ran trivia (6/5/2020) was also very nice. 4. There are staff members on golf carts that drive very fast through the park and have very little concern/respect for guests that are walking or riding bikes. Overall, I think this is an enjoyable park and we may return, but I sincerely hope that management will address some of the issues that here. Ultimately you can spend the most money and build the nicest amenities, but if you don't offer the true resort experience people will not want to return. 6/10- and still no word from management read more

The idea behind the park is great. However, I'm disappointed with the customer service. We had reservations for August 1-4, but ended up leaving early due to Hurricane Isiais' track scheduled to hit the Myrtle Beach/Conway area as a category 1 hurricane the evening of August 3rd. I tried to call customer service on the evening of August 2nd to discuss our departure and left a message and no one called me back. Went to customer service to drop off the keys on August 3rd and told them that we did not feel comfortable staying during a Hurricane and asked if we could get credit for our $200/night cottage for a future stay since we were leaving a day early and they flat out said "No." I get it, if we were just leaving because we did not enjoy the stay, but we left out of concern for our family. Pretty greedy to take our money and not have any kind of consideration for their guests safety and concerns. Edited: per customer services response below I called and stayed on hold for 10 minutes before I was forced to voicemail. I've left a voicemail so we will see where this goes. read more

It was a very pleasant experience staying at this resort with my friends. This experience, however, was tarnished by a permeating smell of rotting fish coming from the cottage freezer. Anytime we opened either the fridge or freezer the awful smell would spread out into the rest of the cottage and last several minutes. The wifi was also pretty awful and none of us could use it for anything. Would I stay here again? Maybe, if that fish smell went away and the wifi got better (And if the hundreds of golf carts driving around here actually abided by traffic laws) read more

employees rock! front desk is helpful and the rangers are cool... people who complain are a bunch of whiny pansies... it's the south there are bugs, check in times are everywhere maybe you need to learn to read don't be such a jackass or rude to the employees... be nice to someone and they will be nice back... times are different plenty of places are short staffed... have some patience and enjoy Myrtle beach... if you are so miserable stay up north and be miserable... be respectful and see the difference in attitude with people... have a beer and relax enjoy your vacation people ... keep the negativity at home!!!! read more

I was hoping this would be my new favorite campground but alas it wasn't meant to be. Let me start with the good points: nice campsites with concrete pads or gravel, nice pool and play area, mini golf, arcade, and nice bath houses. With all that being said its new and clean. But once they get everything opened and everyone starts coming, there will not be enough room to fit all of those screaming, wild children in the pool and single playground. While we were walking to the dog park at 9:30 at night, we were accoated by miniature hell's angels on their bicycles. They almost ran us over even when we moved to the very edge of the road. Then they were at the dog park jumping on picnic tables and screaming like wild animals. I was afraid for my life at the hands of these banshee. Then these pint sized demons began yelling profanity at my daughter and her friend who were merely walking a little ways behind us. Now, I know what you're thinking, this isn't the fault of the park right? Well a park employee on a golf cart peeled out of there as though he also feared these miniature monsters. Then when I tried to call and let them know what was going on, noone answered the phone. So I messaged them on Facebook, still no reply. So if your children run wild and enjoy a good terrorizing while you stand around and get drunk, then this is the place for you. If you like a nice quiet campground with some place for kids with manners, do not go here. read more

My family stayed at CP the first week of 9/2020 and I honestly can't decide if we'll be back or not. The campground looked pretty and my children loved the water park, attached pool, and mini golf. I liked that it isn't located right on the beach and is in a peaceful area. We ate all dinners at Barefoot Landing bc it was only about 6 miles from the resort and we could go, pickup a meal, and be back in 15 minutes. The beach club was basic, looked pretty, but none of us could find the supposed showers. Having access to a pool and a potty (I have 3 kiddos) from the beach was maybe the best amenity of the entire trip. It was nice to have the option to not drive to the beach, though we did. Parking was super convenient and $2/hour. What has made me not totally sure if I'd recommend CP is that our cottage was disgusting, I mean it was just ridiculously gross, especially for being in a time when there is a virus we don't know much about and everything/place has COVID and cleaning standards posted everywhere. There were toenails on the floor at the steps to the loft, there was hair everywhere, the grit on the floors was as thick as the gravel in the driveway. I had to go buy a mop and mopped 3 times the first night. The floors were still gritty and gross even after 3 moppings. There was about a quarter inch of dust around the entire top of the shiplap which goes about 4 feet up the wall from the ground. The ac units (there were 3 in our cottage) had at least a half inch of dust on top of them. The counters in the "kitchen" were nasty too. Food under the toaster, spills on the stove. I went to the front desk and asked when the last time our unit had been cleaned and the girl told me she didn't know. I explained to her and the man sitting next to her just how upset I was at the uncleanliness of our cottage. I told her that I had to buy a mop and I could tell that the unit had never been vacuumed or dusted. She didn't even apologize. The staff that interacts with the customers are mostly young 20somethings and not super knowledgeable on how to handle a guest's concern. We also had an issue with our TV in the "living room" and maintenance was called. That man was nice but couldn't fix our tv bc he said he wasn't very "techy." Our doorknob on the inside of the front door came off when we went to leave to go to putt-putt our second day there. Lucky my husband is handy and he was able to fix it or we would have been stuck. Every door in the place was either mishung or the incorrect size bc they were all super difficult to open and close and the bathroom door wouldn't even shut all the way. There were bugs crawling all along the floorboards. It was just gross. The family next door to us checked out our 1st full day there. The cleaning staff spent 3 hours cleaning but never once used a vacuum. The bathtub is about 2.5 feet off the ground. It really needs a grab handle. 2 of my children fell getting out of the shower every time they stepped out and I fell once as well. Because of the height of the tub, the shower head had to be place super high up as well. This made bathing children difficult and water would run everywhere making a mess in the bathroom. And I wasn't about to submerge them in a tub not knowing if it had ever been cleaned. I was so tired of the shower that I decided to try the community showers. We didn't use those either bc there was hair all over the shower floors and walls. They looked as if the floors had never been scrubbed properly either. Also, don't expect all amenities to be open even if they say they are on Facebook or over the phone. The water park shut down 45 minutes after our arrival and wasn't going to be open again until after we checked out 4 days later. Luckily, I read that fine print on the activities paper the moment we arrived and my family scurried to the water park to get a little of that experience. The restaurant wasn't open at all the entire time we were there either, not even for takeout. The walk up burger window was but honestly, the Sams Club burgers taste better than what they're serving here. I think what was the most aggravating (even above the filthiness of everything) is that it is very difficult to get in touch with anyone at the property. If you had an issue you would have to go up to the main office when they opened. I tried calling 3 different numbers and never got anyone. If my family decides to go back, we'll take our own cleaning supplies and vacuum and I'll clean the entire cottage upon arrival plus I'll bring our own linens (the bath mat had not been washed prior to our arrival). I honestly can't figure out why everyone keeps posting about how clean their tiny homes are. We talked to 4 different families that said their cottages were not clean either. One family was even able to get it cleaned in front of them the night they checked in. Not sure how they managed that since I couldn't even get an apology. read more

Awesome! Awesome! awesome! Amazing cuisine, around the clock activities for the kids and shuttles to your destination. The rv pads are concrete with actual grass for landscaping. A new water park and arcade knocks this new resort out of the park. Brace yourself for the next level because This is it! It's equipped with theme weeks, multiple pools, saunas, yoga and and arcade. The only drawback is that you will have to rent your own cart- you can't unhitch your own cart - a mild concession considering all that awaits you, imo. It's brand new and we can't wait to go back. Over the weekend I was a member of a wedding taking place at this park. I had a reservation for a cabin for the night of the wedding. When I arrived, there was no employees available to check me in, at the gate or at the welcome center. I had put down a $100 deposit on the cabin. I was told by the wedding coordinator that she would take me to checkin somewhere but That never happened. By the time the wedding started I had no opportunity to check in at all. I had lost my $100 deposit. Now it is Monday and on my bank statement I see that they charged me the remaining $70 due on the cabin even though I never checked in and that was THEIR FAULT. Every time I call them I am re routed to a call center and there is no customer service email address to reach out to. Leaving this review and similar reviews on other sites is all I can do to try to get it resolved. Avoid this place at all costs, literally read more
