JC is super cool, knowledgeable, honest and does a great job. Hopefully he can run his own business one day and leave SPC. He deserves much better. Anyways, Took my bike in for repair using my third party warranty to cover. Thomas the owner was real nice at first and communicative. Stated he would get the bike done by Monday. Come Wednesday bike wasn't even looked at yet, stated they were busy. Which is why I ask prior to dropping off to avoid having to wait longer than usual. Come Friday the bike was finally done after waiting one week for simple repairs. So beware, the dishonest timeframes they will tell you just to get you in and drop your bike off. Secondly, Thomas is a little disingenuous when it comes payment. I was told one thing over the phone and once the job was completed he stated I owed a different number than what was agreed on (should have got it in writing). When trying to call him out on it, he states he never said that and will hold your bike random until you pay the amount that he asks. Owner states, this is charge for the time due to sending emails and phone calls back and forth with the insurance. Which I told him is part of the business. You don't get paid for emails and phone calls. I end up paying what he ask and told him I'll never use a business who is dishonest to this customers. Another review on SPC stated something similar when it came to payment method less than 30 days ago. Either way, this owner/shop lacks honesty.

All I see on my rear view Marrio smoke coming from the front of the trailer, Battery compartment all the wire were smoking red hot so I call Scott he turn his back on me that is you trailer now sorry for what happen to you but that's the nature of the beast. Interesting to see upon reading reviews from YEARS ago that multiple other people experienced the SAME exact scenario we did. Dropped our bike off before Thanksgiving to get work done. Paid the $2000 up front for parts after waiting almost 2 months just to get a quote. The holidays went by and we still didn't hear anything...reached out and "oh we would have ordered the parts but they're busy at bike week!" Lame excuse but alright... wait another few weeks... any progress now? No--you call, they have no answers other than oops we still haven't done it sorry! You ask for the owner and he's too busy to talk on the phone and too busy to talk in person. They told us the parts our bike needed were going to need sourced from out of state. In the 5 months they had our bike they didn't order a single part for it. No more than 10 minutes after we picked up the bike we were able to locate and order pistons from kansas for $400, whereas the ones they were "ordering" were $850 from Rhode Island. When we came to pick our bike up they gave us a sob story about how they can't give us any of our money back because they're "about to close our doors" due to lack of $, we had to use it as "store credit"--so maybe don't entrust them with your business since they plan to close up shop anyhow. But I truly have to stop. I always find my way back to Independant. Bob, Mike, (and to be honest) every person that's ever worked here have always been like brothers and sisters. They truly take care of their customers like they have known them for years. I like to do a lot of my own stuff but when there's something I'm not comfortable with because maybe I've never tried it, I know I can depend on these folks to give me the absolute BEST price, and the absolute BEST work with no bullshit! If you ride, and you're in the east valley, this is the place to come. If you ride and you're in the west valley, it's worth the ride or drive (if you have to trailer your bike) and this is still the place to come.
