This place was such a blessing! We had to leave our RV in storage for about 3 months. It's always nerve racking leaving your very expensive belonging in the care of someone else. After touring the building and seeing the other vehicles being stored, we were very impressed. We returned after the three months and the move out process was an absolute breeze. The RV was in perfect condition and any worry we had went away immediately. The gentleman we worked with made the whole process personal, as if we were the most important. Stored our RV there for over a year. Most $$$$ rent in the valley. It was moved frequently and we finally took it out to get on the road with it but parts of the vehicle were missing - from underneath. We are uncertain what else could have been damaged/stolen. We moved to Palm Springs in June and put all our furniture and other belongings into storage here. After 6 months, we were able to move into our new house. Even though the summer had many days of record high temperatures, all of our belongings were in perfect condition when we moved them to our new place. It may cost a little more for climate controlled storage, but it's totally worth it. Another reason to trust your belongings here is that the manager, Tom, provides top-notch service. My husband and I researched "climate controlled" storage units in the Coachella Valley and personally visited several. We chose Sun Valley due to its cleanliness, security, and service orientation, as well as the fact that it is truly air conditioned, unlike some competitors who claim to be climate controlled but were not very cool. Sadly, due to factors beyond our control related to the current pandemic crisis, we had to indefinitely postpone our move and no longer need offsite storage. Since we had never taken possession of the unit or moved anything into it, Sun Valley worked with us to refund our deposit. If we ever need storage in the area, Sun Valley will be our first choice! read more

Returned home after being away for one month. During that time received 3 calls on 3 separate occasions. Two were regarding the fact that they had locked the keys in our coach while moving it, and it was still running. The third call was to inform us they had lost the keys to our car. Bad enough? - not nearly. When we arrived at the storage facility from the airport they weren't open - although we had been assured they would be. Next morning we finally got our motorhome to find that someone had been living in it. They went thru our business and banking documents, ate our food, took some of our clothing and an iPad. They also left behind a pair of their jeans in a bedroom cupboard and of course left the bed dirty. We are sill missing a key fob for the coach. Management response - talk to the owner - owners response - well give you a free month of storage. This is not acceptable!! Renters BE WARE!!!! read more

Called the establishment to obtain facility and pricing information. I expressed a requirement for covered parking for my motorhome. An employee named Mike stated that their outdoor parking was protected and better than covered storage. I drove 30 minutes to rent the storage space described to me over the phone. To my disappointment upon my arrival, I was shown an open field with no protection or shade whatsoever. No apology or regret for the misrepresentation by the manager Erick. read more

In March we went to pick up our RV that was stored at Sun Valley Storage - Indoor/Climate controlled area. On arriving we found that the RV had sustained a significant amount of body damage. We immediately reported the damage to the manager who proceeded to tell us that there was nothing they could do other that offer a months free storage. After several months of going back and forth with them and obtaining an estimate of repairs of $11,261.00, their corporate office has just told us that because their now terminated manager did not file an incident and pull the security tapes that they have determined that the damage was not their fault and that we should just submit it to our insurance. Since no one except an employee is allowed to move the RVs in the indoor storage it amazes me that they can try and claim that they aren't responsible. Needless to say we are not storing our RV there anymore and want to warn everyone about their poor business practices. If you are storing your RV at Sun Valley storage I recommend asking them to bring it out for you to inspect and immediately filing a police report if they have damaged your vehicle. They certainly won't report it to you if they damage your vehicle and they won't hold their employees responsible for their negligence. read more

Pros: Storage area is on steroids, this is one big place. Cons: Not the cheapest. In this day and age I guess you get what you pay for. Conclusion: If you can afford it, unquestionably worth it, with all the perks included. read more

I would warn anybody not to rent here until you've seen the facility! As i was trying to find a place to store our motorhome while we snowbird in the Palm Springs area, we checked this place on line and made contact. As there are no pictures of the outside (where we had booked space) you don't see what you're getting. No mention was ever made that basically it';s the back parking lot of a commercial warehouse! We were told we'd need to leave our keys when they would need to move my 2019 Tiffin when they get more full and sandwich my coach behind other RV's or a skid of steel (and there were many when we showed up!!) plus they also required 48 hours notice to move other vehicles to get mine out!! I was not made aware of this when we booked, we feel we've being totally misled. I requested my first months rent back, but they made it very clear it is nonrefundable, as a businessman myself, not a good way to treat customers!! read more
