Had a meatball grinder and a Chef salad. Was considering the Italian grinder but meat consisted of just ham and salami, same meat put on Chef salad. Pizza was excellent, service was quick, and prices are fair. No dine in option due to COVID-19, surprising since it's September now and every other food establishment has made dine in available. What I found even more surprising was their lack of disposable dinner ware ....hot out of the oven pizza and no plates, forks, knives...nothing but our hands!??! We were able to get a handful of napkins when we went back into the building and requested dinnerware. Will definitely eat here again, I'll just be more prepared. read more

The listed hours are incorrect, closed Mondays. And because it's Sunapee, they have a captive audience. But they have the BEST pizza and subs. And the pasta meals are awesome too. I absolutely love Pizza Chef. I live in Boston and went to school in Vermont. Sunapee was right on my way home, I'd stop in and get pizza from Pizza Chef every time I drove home. My wife and I have dinner here on a fairly regular basis (once a month at least) and we always get the spaghetti dinner with sauce. It comes with a nice garden salad with the tastiest house Italian dressing (our choice) and nice crunchy bread with butter. The portions are great and we never leave hungry. At their very reasonable price, you can't get a spaghetti dinner as good as this anywhere. Always fast and courteous service as well. read more

You cannot go wrong at pizza chef. the food is always fresh and tasty. I had a large roast beef grinder. Wife had a tuna on syrian bread. Both very satisfied. we've actually been coming here for years with never a complaint. amazed at the low prices on their sandwiches, spaghetti dinners and the pizza. also had the mozzarella sticks and the french fries and both were fine. its a well oiled machine..always enough help....orders move along quickly and its service with a smile. To say that Sunapee is a one-horse town might be an understatement. Pizza Chef is the only real option for pizza if you want to stay local. But the pizza is delicious! It's got thick crust, fresh-tomato tasting sauce, and they're generous with the cheese. I am discerning about pizza, and the Chef really earned my praise. One complaint, though, is that they can be skimpy with the toppings. I got a half-and-half with pepperoni and meatballs, and the meatball side was pretty sparse. But the pizza was piping hot, and if you're in Sunapee and hankering for a slice, don't hesitate to order from Pizza Chef and bring it back home with you. (I agree that eating in the shop is less than lovely) read more

I actually like the pizza at Pizza Chef. It's definitely different from the pizza I'm used to, but it's yummy. The subs and salads are pretty good, too. The decor is very rest-stoppish. But this is the best place for food in Sunapee, in my opinion. If you're looking for something a little nicer, drive on up to New London. read more

We ordered a chicken calzone, Greek salad, cheesy garlic bread and spaghetti eggplant. The chicken calzone only a few pieces. The Greek salad only had two olives and half of the salad was feta cheese. Cheesy bread was very greasy. The spaghetti eggplant dinner was the only part that was ok. The people that worked there was nice but the food wasn't very good. If you're looking for something to just fill your stomach and fairly cheap. read more

I have never had an unpleasant experience at Sunapee Pizza Chef. Very kind customer service and quick service (other than during peak events).
