The resort is very clean and the staff and other campers are very friendly and welcoming. There is a great pool and hot tub, an ice cream shop, a mini store, a fishing pier and the Santa Rosa Sound beach. The resort is quiet at night and is very close to groceries and restaurants. I am so glad I found this great place for my birthday weekend trip!

I rarely leave negative reviews, but this experience was incredibly disappointing…read more I reserved a specific campsite many months in advance for my birthday. Before arriving, I even received an email confirming that exact site. When I checked in, I was told they had given my reserved site to someone else and moved me to a different spot. The whole reason I booked so far in advance was to secure that particular location, so this completely defeated the purpose of planning ahead. What made the situation even worse was how it was handled. The manager never apologized or acknowledged the mistake. Instead, I was met with an attitude that made it seem like my frustration wasn't justified. A sincere apology and some accountability would have gone a long way. To "make it right," they offered a 20% discount, which honestly felt insulting given that they failed to honor a confirmed reservation on a special occasion. It wasn't about the money--it was about keeping their commitment and treating customers with respect when they make a mistake. Unfortunately, what should have been a memorable birthday started with disappointment because of the park's poor reservation management and lack of customer service. I hope they improve their processes and, more importantly, learn how to take responsibility when they let their guests down.

There are a lot of RV Sites and Cabins here along with a spacious tent camping area. We stayed at site F1 which is on the far side of the campground some complain about the traffic noise from Interstate 10 we did not have any issues it was barely noticeable. Our premium site had a concrete pad which was very level it also had a nice concrete / paver patio complete with a brick fire pit and a clean gas grill with a full bottle of propane. This site is on the end so we only had one friendly neighbor on one side and the sites were separated by a tall hedge so plenty of privacy. The full hook ups lined up perfectly with our Class A Motorhome so I only need the minimum length of water and sewer hoses and less than 10 of my 50 Amp electric cord all the utilities work fine and there was good water pressure. The check-in process was fast and easy, Lincoln was working the counter and he explained everything I needed to know and provided me with a map and directions to our site (no escort needed), there was plenty of room on the paved drive to maneuver our rig in and out of the park. We didn't really use any of the amenities but there seemed to be many if that's your thing. This is an excellent location if you want to travel to the beaches, its about 21 miles to Navarre and the town of Milton is just a few miles from the campground. There is also a Piggly Wiggly grocery store a mile or so away and plenty of fuel options including diesel close by. Whether you just need an over-night stop or planning to spend a few days in the area, this is a great choice and a KOA I'll book again in the future...

They were very difficult to open, so I did not force it open with a hammer because I did not want to damage it, so we slept without power that night. We could not find our site because we cannot find a map on their website.

I came down to connect for my first RV rally and this was a great site to hold the rally at. Clean grounds even though a hurricane has recently passed through the area 6 months ago and great options nearby for food, shopping and close to the Gulf of Mexico. The staff is real friendly and courteous and the office staff make check in and out simple and pain free. Ask for the military discount at time of reservation and that is a nice discount for my fellow veterans. Overall a great experience and would recommend staying here again in the future!

But I can only speak of our experience because this was our first time here. Hopefully they will continue to improve and we will stay here again someday. The things that led us to book here after a recent tour of the property are the same things that will unfortunately prevent us from booking here again. Let me explain: Pull through sites are great, but the roads are incredibly narrow and most people were parked out into the roadways. The entire right side of the park (the side with trees) looks like people live there full time. We know that several do because we were told this but the guests themselves, that they stay there rent free in exchange for part time help around the park. They have decks and fences and tons of potted plants and lights. The side we were on, for visitors, had no trees and no picnic tables. That makes no sense. Now the fun part that drew us in - the pool is beautiful. My kids enjoyed the waterslides, but people, including adults, wanted to hang out in the pool area at the bottom of the slides and then get annoyed at them for splashing and/or almost hitting them when they came off the slide. There's no staff members to tell you when it's clear to slide and you can't see the bottom from the top. There's no staff to keep people clear of the slide ext tubes. Common sense tells you to not block slide exits, so if you get hit or splashed, it's your own fault. Lazy River was nice, until it wasn't. Rules say no glass bottles in pool area, alcohol is allowed but must be covered, and cannot be in the pool itself - but no one listened. Adults were floating around with their beer bottles in hand. They would stand in corners/curves of the lazy river blocking the flow of the people floating and would be annoyed when floating people bumped into them. Again, there is no staff to regulate these things. I'm a drinker, a party-er, and all that. But there's a time and place for everything and that wasn't it. You have to be respectful of the other people around you that are trying to enjoy the amenities. The snack bar at the pool wasn't open, nor was the Lakeside Grill in the community center building. For $20 more per night, keep driving and go to Splash RV Resort in Milton. They have a much bigger lazy river with a lifeguard controlling the flow, waterslides that even adults can get on with staff at the top and bottom letting you know when to go and keeps the line moving and everyone safe. A family pool, separate adult-only pool, Tiki Bar that serves beer, mixed drinks, a small food court, and more.

It rained just before the starting time so it was cancelled. The manager Jinks came around later and brought t-shirts for my kids as a way of saying sorry. Totally unnecessary because we understood but a great gesture and very well received. There was a food truck one day that was there for quite a while and had very good food. We had pizza delivered to the camper and also had amazon items sent to the office. It was very nice. The only negative I can come up with is the fact that if you cannot make your reservation for whatever reason, they are not going to refund you. They will only give you a voucher to be used in the next 365 days. I am not crazy about that. They should be a little more understanding about that. Great location, like 4 grocery stores within 2 miles. Close between Pensacola and Ft. Walton/Destin. We will stay there again, I just my delay my reservation until I am positive I will make it to the area.

As my wife and I are excited to start our trip across the southern United States, traveling from…read moreCalifornia to Florida, Georgia, and South Carolina, we got off to a rough start. As we're traveling through the Mojave desert, we experienced not one but two blowouts doing extensive damage to our fifth wheel trailer. We had to cancel our trip and return home and put our trailer in the repair shop for well over a month. As we were calling the 15 RV sites that we had secured reservations at all of them were very understanding and we were able to cancel our reservations minus a $20 cancellation fee at most parks. Some of the parks even waived the cancellation fee then we had to deal with Santa Rosa RV park on the Gulf Coast of Florida. They offered us a one-year voucher to come back and stay with them. I explained that that was not an option, as we were not able to reschedule this trip within a year, and I asked if there was a way that we could come to an agreement that would somehow reduce the $340+ payment that we had made, their response was "we must stick with our policy". Well, I do understand policy, I do also recognize customer service and flexibility. I would recommend not staying at Santa Rosa RV park as there are many options in the area that do appreciate the customer. However, if you choose to stay there, good luck. Thanks, Steve
