He sends emails with info on things he has found and lets you decide if you want to pursue that specific car. He's not pushy and he is very up front about how much everything will cost. He is an older guy who really likes to carry on a conversation (lol) and he really knows his cars. Once my car arrived he helped us get a couple minor repairs (you have to kind of expect this when purchasing a used car) and he was nice enough to buy the parts (brakes and rotors) with his dealer license and gave them to us for cost. He knows a bunch of guys who have reliable repair shops and we were satisfied with the work they did. He also offers extended warranty options and is willing to work with a couple of different banks or credit unions if you need to finance the car. The fact that we went through him again to purchase another car should tell you that we were pleased with his services. Overall, we saved $4000-$5000 on my car and about $3000 on my husband's truck vs. what we would have paid at a dealer. You have to go into this way of buying a car knowing that it will take a little bit of time to find the car you want but the savings is worth it.

I gave Jim a list of cars to find for me and he found quotes for the wrong vehicles. The quotes he did find were very poor and felt like the same type of deal I could have found by just walking into a dealership. Why would I pay an autobroker myself to find a deal that I could get without much haggling or negotiation? Jim was not able to provide any guidance on whether or not deals were good or not. He claimed my budget was unrealistic but should have told me this from the start before collecting his fee and sitting on it without doing any work. Often times he went days without responding to my emails. Jim knew that I was on a tight schedule as I had just moved to Georgia but only had a rental car for a week. The one and only time I spoke with Jim on the phone was a disappointing affair as he was short and rude. As previously stated, I ended up asking Jim for a refund. He gave it to me without a hassle but ultimately working with Jim was a complete waste of time. I would have been better off shopping my own deal and doing my own research rather than relying on him. I advise others not to work with Jim as he cannot be an expert in finding or negotiating deals. All hype and good talk but no action.
