Top 3 favorite happy hours in Nashville!! the vibe inside is very upscale and nice. The wait staff are all very nice and helpful. Their happy hour menu is great and has a lot of options for small bites and good cocktails. i especially love the pork belly bites and the spicy tuna handroll. their ube espresso martini is the best i've ever had too! Love coming here with friends to end the week. the chef is so sweet and brings new dishes he creates for the guests to try. i highly recommend trying this new Asian fusion place!!

Had an amazing meal here! Inside is modern and stylish. A bit dark. Plenty of seating. Good place for groups or a date. Came in with some friends for a birthday dinner. We were a party of 6 and they easily accommodated us. We ordered a feast! Loved everything! We did family style. You might want to double up on the rice and noodle dishes though. We loved the adobo fried rice and garlic crab noodles. The oxtail pot stickers were my favorite appetizer. The crispy pata and miso cod are absolute must trys. Probably the best meal I had while visiting Nashville. Service was fantastic! Staff was so friendly and helpful.

Sunda serves very fusion Asian food so don't expect truly authentic Asian food. Sushi and Bao buns were pretty average. I was bit surprised by the price tag and portion of the food. I think it's suitable for grabbing little bites, drinks and enjoy the interior. Service was great.

The hostess was sweet upon entering. The vibes were very welcoming. Our server, Mikel, made phenomenal recommendations. He made our first experience at Sunda memorable. Great explanation of the menu and a few dishes we asked about it. We're looking forward to coming back and trying more!

Was in Nashville for a few days and had to try this location . I am based I love both Chicago locations . I would say happy hour should be spoken about only seating by the bar. My group was under the impression when was seated at the table we arrived during happy hour would be able to order on that menu . We were offered to move but at that point we had been seated comfortably . I will have to say service was on the slower side it was a Thursday evening at 530 can't really pinpoint it wasn't overly busy till in an hour in but overall slower than what I'm used to . I enjoyed the space it reminded me of the Chicago locations open concept decor was right in Asian influence . When it came to food I wanted to try things I usually don't try . I really enjoyed the shrimp I could have probably ate that whole order to myself creamy delicious sauce with walnuts and the shrimp were crispy . I did find some of the dishes saltier than I'm used. The pork belly sinigang presentation was interactive loved pouring the broth onto the dish but I do believe my friend was slightly disappointed she was hoping for that comforting broth sour tamrind. It definitely was on the mild side of what we are use to in the amazing dish that sinigang is . The ube expresso martini was heavy pour on the mezcal was hoping more ube notes or foam . Star of the night has to be the Bibingka not on the menu believe it was special for the month . Not sure if they remember hearing us saying that my friend was graduating from Vanderbilt the next day but that was nice . Overall it was okay. it is located on a busy street but parking garage right next door so that was perfect.

    Lunar new year envelopes!

This food was very good. It was an upscale Asian/Asian fashion small-ish plates. The standouts were the chicken, the rice, and the miso cauliflower. The oxtail potstickers were a little too dry for me and my fiance. But the rest was all very good! Nothing was really spicy except the peppers themselves. If you go around lunar new year you get these cute red envelopes! The restaurant had nice background music, but it wasn't loud which was wonderful. Service was great, she was friendly and kept our orders flowing and glasses full. I didn't try their sushi but I will next time cause it looked really tasty.

Asian fusion spot in a dark, sexy, Asian themed interior. We came here on a Saturday evening and sat at the bar. The biggest let down of the night was that I think our order was forgotten because after an hour of sitting there we had not gotten our food. That being said, it's still a five star. That's how good the food was - even being on the pricey side. Or maybe we were just starving after waiting an hour for food (lol) so it was extra good. The menu is humongous by the way - it has Asian fusion, sushi, Thai, and Chinese dishes. The Wagyu Crispy Rice ($26) is to die for - GET IT. It melts in your mouth. Tuna Truffle Pizza ($24) is unique AF, and has actual truffle shavings. The Chicken Pad Thai ($26) was well made and came with loads of tofu to my BF's dismay, thankfully I love tofu and ate it all off his plate. Frank at the bar is awesome and has the best man bun. He was super apolegotic with the food coming some slowly and comped our Wagyu Crispy Bites. Get those seriously - it was the best thing we had in Nashville.

4 Pieces Crispy Eggplant Bao Buns
    Samveda R.

We had a lovely experience at Sunda. Although a little overpriced, the food was delicious and creative. We tried the Bao buns, and liked how you could do half and half of two different flavors. I enjoyed the fried eggplant, it had many different textures from the crunchy slaw to soft steamy buns. I also tried the sweet potatoe caterpillar roll. It had sweet potatoe and crispy Asian pear, topped with avocado and served with black garlic teriyaki sauce. I enjoyed the flavors, but wished the sweet potatoe was fried tempura style instead of soft as it was a little baby food esque, but yummy nonetheless! Our waitress was extremely nice and helped with recommendations. There was a bit of a mix up with the wrong dish coming out, and she was very gracious about it. The decor was very pretty and modern. Perfect for a special occasion dinner!

    Szechuan Chicken
    Ronnie W.

We had a wonderful meal with the ambiance and food both, just right. The service was great and fast. The food was top-notch too. I chose the Szechuan Chicken which was the right amount of heat and a good portion of food. As we were leaving, we met the owner. He's a great guy and he's giving Nashville a lot of great food.

So glad my gf found Sunda for our last dinner in Nashville. It exceeded our expectations! The place was really nicely decorated, tables were spaced out well & was super clean. We were seated right away & our waitress was super friendly. She looked like a model! Like girl what are you doing here, go be on a runway or something! Well maybe this was her part time gig- anyway, really cool & helpful. We opted for the lumpia app [$18] as well as the Brussels Salad [$24]. Yes, both were pretty overpriced for what they were, but both apps were amazinggg, so we didn't mind paying for quality food. The Brussels Salad had this nice vinaigrette to it- really tasty. I got the Ube Espresso Martini [$19] which only had a hint of ube. Nonetheless, the drink was really well made. For the main courses, we got the Crispy Pata [$32] which came w/a side of steamed rice, the Pancit Canton [$32] - which came super late, but they apologized for the wait, the Adobo Fried Rice [$24] & the scallops [$39]. Everyone was really impressed with the spread. That Crispy Pata was no joke, loved every crispy bite! Cooked to perfection. The adobo fried rice was a tad too salty for me, but still enjoyed it. The pancit canton was good but by the time it came out, we were all already pretty full. Our waitress comped us an off menu desert which was bibingka prepared in a non-traditional way. Loved it! Really great service and food here ar Sunda! Thanks for a great Sunday night dinner.

We asked the front desk of our hotel where to go to and she without hesitation mentioned Sunda since we asked for a place to relax, unique food, great service and reasonably priced! We saw they have a location in our town in Tampa so we will be giving them a try next! If you're wanting to break away from hot chicken with a great vibe, look no further!

The happy hour is great, it has plenty of options at a great price. That being said I would only go back for happy hour. The rolls are good but I don't think they're worth the price without the hh discount. Everything was tasty and the bar had a great vibe if you were to go for only the bar. The entire staff was welcoming and friendly to all customers from what I saw!

    Evan L.

Nashville's best brunch. Not even joking. Food is always 10/10. Service is amazing. Crazy to me that it's always so dead. Dinner is also insane. I sent a friend visiting there and this was our text. Don't walk. RUN.

We started off with a round of champagne and a bottle of red wine for dinner. We tried a variety of dishes since we were told that the set up is family style: Hamachi Crudo: 10/10 one of the best I've ever had! Super fresh and the sauce paired well with it. Bluefin Tune Crudo: 8/10 It was really fresh and well prepared, but I've had better elsewhere. I typically prefer bluefin tuna sashimi or nigiri anyway. Tuna Crispy Rice: 9/10 This was such a fun and delicious way to eat spicy tuna! All of the seasonings made it packed full of flavor. Tomahawk Ribeye 9/10: This was insanely tender, and well seasoned. Tip: ask for lemon wedges to sprinkle some lemon juice on it--thank me later. Broccolini 8/10: well prepared, and I loved the lemongrass garlic chili that topped it East Side Shrimp 7/10: These were well cooked and well seasoned. Loved the salad placed underneath it. Wagyu Tartare 8/10: It was well prepared and loved that it's paired with nori and rice. Wished it had a bit more punch to it in terms of seasoning. Crab Fried Rice 8/10: this was delicious but still say it's a solid 8. Beautifully prepared! Korean Hot Wings 2.5/10: I could tell that it was well cooked, but it was insanely salty; it was practically inedible. Hurricane Fries 9/10: These were so delicious! You are immediately hit with the smell of truffle, which made my mouth water. Packed with flavor! Brussels 7/10: These were well roasted, but the sauce was a tad too sweet for my liking. I highly recommend trying this place out!

By the bar we got to see some of the dishes being made. Great date night spot. Limited parking. This is a tapas spot and our serve did a good job recommending how many dishes to get. The only reason Noko is not getting 5 stars is because the server said that they would time out the dishes for us, so it was best to place our entire order all at once. However, we got 3 dishes and then it took about 30 minutes for other two to come out. Maybe we were eating too fast but felt like we were waiting a while for our food. The food itself was absolutely delicious. There was nothing we ordered that I did not like. Some favorites include the burnt ends lettuce wraps and Korean chicken wings. The Sando, shrimp and tuna crispy rice was also spectacular. The tuna was so flavorful and refreshing on the tuna crispy rice. The sauce of the east side shrimp really makes the dish. I'm not a huge shrimp person but this was really good. This is a must go to spot in Nashville and would definitely want to come back.

It's definitely not the restaurants' fault, but TN or Nashville specifically needs to address the 14.1% taxes on a restaurant bill.
