[[HIGHLIGHT]]Sushi Bar did not disappoint. This sophisticated omakase speakeasy nestled in a private space adjacent to Golden Sound is an elevated dining experience.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The 12 courses were not only skillfully presented, each course was a tantalizing journey through regional selections that left you eagerly anticipating the next bite., [[HIGHLIGHT]]Arrive early to enjoy the welcome cocktail and lovely lounge area and prepare for an unforgettable night.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I opted for the champagne pairing and trust me it was well worth the splurge. [[HIGHLIGHT]]If you're looking for a more intimate and upscale option SB would be a great choice.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] No onsite parking available and reservations are required. Enjoy! Cheers, the pictures tell it all.

This is a toughie. The food was delicious! We tasted some unique flavor profiles, enjoyed the fresh fish, and washed it down with their sake pairings BUT, it is insanely expensive. This is the most I have ever paid for a meal including some fine dining experiences in Vegas. It's almost laughable expensive. They will nickel-and-dime you to the end. As the last seating, we're offering a special cut for only a cool $$ amount of money. For the amount we all just paid, and were auto tipped, you couldn't throw it in?! If you have the money to spend, sure, make a reso! [[HIGHLIGHT]]The space is nice[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]], the staff was incredibly friendly, the food was interesting, and the service came correct. For the rest of us, it may be a place that provokes a philosophical debate of how much are you willing to pay for 17 bites?

Outstanding! It's a level of curation that I've never before seen in a sushi restaurant. [[HIGHLIGHT]]From the private waiting area and dining spaces, to the welcoming staff, and the incredible food, this restaurant truly delivers an unforgettable experience.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

If you're looking for a standout omakase in Nashville, Sushi|Bar is absolutely worth the commitment. Tucked behind an unmarked door, this speakeasy-style sushi counter offers a 17‑course tasting menu served in an intimate 12‑seat room--talk about immersive dining. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The vibe is cozy and elevated without feeling stuffy.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] You really get brought into the chef's world--every course feels deliberate, creative, and fresh. It's new-wave nigiri and unique interpretations of classic sushi, served with artistry and precision.

VERY good. Very expensive. Ive been to my fair share of expensive omakase's, but this place was a little too expensive given that the chefs don't cut the fish slices precisely (some rounds you get a bigger piece than others, other rounds your piece is smaller)... that's what is suppose to set apart an elite omakase place from a basic/standard place (that and quality of course). Also I'm all for an automatic gratuity but 22% is not industry standard - usually it's 18% (even 20% would be fine since the place is "high-end). If you're going as a duo, don't expect your bill to be less than $500 if you each order one drink.

Holy moly where to begin. Impeccable service. Indescribably delicious sushi bites with the freshest fish and most creative flavors I have ever had. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The whole experience from entering the door (that I couldn't find) with the welcome cocktail to the seating name plates in a private intimate room is absolutely worth it.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I already want to go back!

My friend and I came to celebrate my birthday. This experience felt very special. Our reservation was for 5:45 pm, but they let us know to show up 15 minutes early for a welcome drink. [[HIGHLIGHT]]When we arrived we were in a private room with other patrons and a lovely cocktail and mocktail to sip on before our names were called to eat.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] It seems they wait for everyone to arrive before they seat you all so it's very important to not be late or you'll hold up the other patrons and the service itself. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Once our names were called, we were led into a back room and found our name plates, which were our seats. A handwritten card was waiting for us, which I thought was a lovely little touch.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The food. This omakase spot had a variety of different dishes for us to try, but the unique thing was the toppings. Each dish had a carefully executed topping oozing with flavor onto the meat. The meats were all very tender and easy to eat. The chefs would tell you about each dish before serving you. Each dish was carefully crafted and looked very appetizing. A tip- If you go, be sure to keep the plate they serve the meat on - on the counter!!! Some guests kept bringing their plate down and it would disrupt the flow a little bit. Overall, I really enjoyed this experience. I liked learning about each dish, the name cards, the welcome cocktail, the dishes all looked wonderful, and the dessert was the perfect refreshing way to end. I am not giving it 5 stars because for me while the toppings were unique and tasty, they were also a bit overpowering and didn't always allow you to taste the actual fish. I really like fish so that may be a preference. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The restaurant definitely takes extra steps to make this a special night out.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] So while the toppings may have been overpowering for me, I would come back again. Oh one thing I thought was very unique was that they not only had a sake pairing option, but a wine pairing option, a champagne pairing option, and a premier sake pairing option! I felt that was another nice touch because not everyone loves sake so if you have a friend that loves wine or champagne then they have options besides sake.

This was one of our favorite food experiences we have had in Nashville. First and foremost the service was very accommodating, helpful and friendly. You will get a complimentary drink when you arrive while waiting to be sat. We were celebrating my fiancés birthday and they had a handwritten card written for him when we sat down. Secondly, the food was unreal. SO GOOD. Pictures don't do it justice. We loved it and would highly recommend for a celebration or anniversary dinner! It is a bit pricey, but it's worth it.

Wonderful experience. They text you a couple days before your reservation to get the names of people in your party so they can personalize the experience with name cards at your seat. You arrive early for a welcome champagne cocktail in a separate lounge, then you are led to a 16 course sushi tasting menu. They explain each dish and make the sushi in front of you. It was so delicious! My one recommendation would be to eat a modest dinner a few hours beforehand. Not very filling, I would treat it as a tasting and definitely get a bottle of sake, their selection is great.

Highly recommended. We came for a date night this evening and the food and experience was excellent. The champagne and exclusive sake pairings were perfect additions. Will definitely be going back soon!

Wow! That is the one word I would use. SB is nestled within the must go Golden Sounds Bar with a private room of only 12 seats with omakase choices based on what is available and fresh that day. [[HIGHLIGHT]]You are recommended to arrive 15 mins before your reservation and are greeted in an intimate lounge setting by the hostess and provided a cocktail recommendations.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]This is wonderful. It allows you to wind down after battling the traffic to get to The Gulch[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]. It IS an experience that is well worth the cost. Three engaging sushi chefs will inform you about the unique 17 pieces of nigiri with potential additional special offerings of the day. We had caviar and white truffle options. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The ambiance was absolutely fantastic.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] They have options of a full bar, two different sake pairings, wine, champagne and also a Japanese whiskey pairing. The service was perfect. Personally I think a sushi novice will enjoy this experience as much as a well versed sushi aficionado. I'll be back VERY soon. Be open to new possibilities!! Enjoy!!!!!! Reservation is a must!

Great night out at Sushi Bar! I came with a good buddy and we had a great time. The Saki pairing was a good move and adding a Sapporo on the side is a veteran play. The chefs were a fun group, professional, very knowledgeable on the 14 courses and made the experience fun. We did the 5:45pm on a Friday and were out at 7:45. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The bar they are attached to was a cool vibe and good scene for a post dinner drink.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Thanks team and look forward to coming back.

It is quite exciting to see Nashville have a sushi omakase now. Sushi Bar Nashville is one of five locations from the Sushi Bar Hospitality group. This is my first time dining with them and long story short it was a great time. From start to finish, the meal was nothing short of exceptional. Each dish was expertly crafted, showcasing a perfect balance of flavors and textures that delighted the palate. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The ambiance of the restaurant added to the overall enjoyment, with its sophisticated yet welcoming atmosphere.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] You start off the evening with a refreshing cocktail at Golden Sound and once it is time to enter the dining area, you are taken to the private sushi bar where you'll enjoy the meal. I appreciated the chefs' detailed explanations of each course, which enhanced the dining experience by providing insightful context and highlighting the artistry behind each dish. The chefs also encourage interaction with them as well as your fellow patrons. This is great for extroverts but if you're someone who is more introverted then that could be a negative. Overall, it was a memorable experience that combined exquisite cuisine with a thoughtful presentation and a warm, inviting setting. Highly recommended for anyone seeking a top-tier omakase adventure. I will certainly go back again to see how the menu evolves with the seasons.

We went in the afternoon so it was pretty quiet still, but the bar tenders were friendly and helpful. And although I'm not a huge tequila fan, I was impressed with my drink. There was no live music available at the time, but they did have a DJ which I thought was spinning the turntable rather well. It's my bad that I didn't also catch on that his is basically a Tequila Bar, rather than a more general craft cocktail establishment. Judging by the well stocked bar and the word of our waitress, other alcohol and their associated craft creations are available, but it's pretty much off menu and not well into our waitress' repertoire. And yes, Cinco de Mayo was just a few days away. One member of our party just wanted a soft drink, which was not possible that night as their CO2 was down. That did make me wonder whether the non-alcohol drinkers had much to chose from here. I suppose we could have then wandered over to the Redemption Bar at Chief's? Anyway, we're not Tequila Drinkers, and since other drink options appeared to be guesswork, we left towards more traditional mixed drinks (and live music) at a nearby Printers Alley bar. This was a rare night that I really wanted a craft cocktail in a smooth environment, and in the end it just wasn't the same.
