So I went to the marketplace for something specific but I ended up walking around. It was a really…read moregood time overall because there's so much to see. If you want to do some shopping for some food or maybe just some shopping for a bite to eat, then this is your spot. You'll come into the market but you have to worry about parking because it's not free but if you're in the city you already know that. They have a validation for parking system there so you can make sure you use that, which is right by the door. There's also other places to park, which is street parking, that you could use your park mobile app as well if you'd prefer to do that or if the parking lot is full. This market has tons of items and things and anything you could think of for the most part. If you are feeling steak or Caribbean food then this is your spot to go to. If you just want some French fries or some oxtail then this is going to be a great place for it as well. There's a myriad of different stalls that you can buy food at that are ready. There's also places that you can actually buy fresh meat and seafood to cook at home. If you're trying to figure out where to go for some steaks or some oxtails or shrimp, you should check this out for sure. So overall I would say this is definitely a spot you should for sure try if you're trying to try some new dishes or if you want to buy some food to make at home. If you're trying to find something that's similar to an Asian market, for example, something off Buford Highway, this would be a good spot to check out. Picking up a couple of steaks and some shrimp is easy work for a spot like this. I actually would probably go for a holiday situation to where I was buying meat to put on the grill. If you don't want to get locked into something like Publix, this is a good spot so just keep that in mind.

First of all you have to sign up to receive nominations to go, and then you have to respond to invitations in a manner of minutes to make the final list of dinner guests. For the night we went the list was filled in a matter of minutes, so you need to be fast. There is a reason why it is is so popular. The food is amazing. They have just extended their dinner table from 12 to 18 people. The basic idea is that you sit around a large community table and talk while you enjoy the food prepared by the hosts. The food is a fusion of southern and Costa Richan flavors. The venue for the experience is the Goat Farm which is off of Howard Mill next to the train tracks in the Goat Farm, which is a community of creative people. The food served is Molecular Gastronomy. The vegetables are local (they have a garden out back). and you get it with a fixed pairing of wine. The menu the night we went consisted of: -Cocktails + canapes -Roasted backyard squash, tomato marmalade, charred heirloom cucumber, parmesan ice cream, black olive powder -Slow cooked hen with leg confit agnolotti, backyard mustard greens, preserved lemon chantilly, roasted onion broth -Fried pineapple pie, vanilla semifreddo, ancho spiced macadamia, cajeta enronada, smoked salt -Candy + cordial The food is nothing short of awesome and the pairing with wine is excellent. In addition you get to meet a number of new people. They arrange these dinners Fridays and Saturdays. I strongly recommend all of your sign up for trying their food. It is some of the best food I have had in Atlanta. The night we went it was very hot and their AC is modest, so I would recommend that you dress according to the temperature expectation. This is a small deal. Overall the experience of fantastic food, great wine and excellent company was awesome.. We had such a great time. We are certainly going to try to get on their list again as soon as possible.

I had a really nice time when I ate here on Friday night. The setting is just about perfect--huge…read morerustic table (from the original factory), large studio apartment, candlelight. When we walked in, we were immediately offered canapes--manchego grilled cheese with a chipotle apple butter sauce--and a tamarind lemon rum cocktail, both awesome. We chatted with strangers and admired the giant cookbook collection. Dinner was three courses of genuinely tasty food. First: roasted beets, hearts of palm panna cotta, compressed cucumber, potato, and roasted garlic mayo. Second: poached hen with leg confit, saffron orzo gratin, salsa romesco, and kale chips. Dessert: brown butter cake (my new favorite), smoked banana ice cream, burnt marshmallow, and cinnamon-coffee syrup. The first course was a little salty, and the dessert was crazy sweet, but overall it was a really solid meal. The booze was good, too, though I admit defeat when it came to the after-dinner orange blossom moonshine. It was too syrupy and too strong for my weak tolerance. The after-dinner visit from the dogs, on the other hand, was excellent. Overall, while not the best meal I've ever eaten, it was still really good and so much fun that I would eat here again in a heartbeat. Provided I can swing another reservation. Good luck with the restaurant, Zach!

This sandwich is topped with unique ingredients like cranberry relish and orange aioli, and the onion thyme toast sealed the deal. I wish there was a stronger presence of the orange aioli, but in general it tasted good! I had placed an online order and I appreciated the staff's attention to my notes, as well as being super helpful over the phone when I called and had some questions. In my head, I had pegged this place as too expensive for what it is; however, I felt that the prices were quite fair. Sure, paying $13 for this sandwich is expensive when compared to a subway sandwich, but it's all about the quality. I feel like at Star Provisions you can get quality, tasty food for not too bad of a price tag. The sandwich comes with either chips or fruit! Plenty of free parking in the lot. Note that they're closed on Mondays!
