    Dad's Pancake

We had a fantastic Father's Day brunch at Sunday's Best to celebrate The Mister. The vibe was lively, fun, and welcoming. The service was wonderful from start to finish, attentive without being intrusive. For drinks, we ordered a Salty Dog, a mimosa, and the Dad's Pancake special Father's Day cocktail. All three were excellent. We started with the caviar pancake appetizer, which was a great way to kick off the meal. For our entrées, we ordered the smoked salmon toast and the chicken and waffles. Both dishes were outstanding. The smoked salmon toast was bright and fresh. I loved the hard boiled egg and dill. The chicken and waffles were a standout. The chicken was crispy and coated in a sticky, flavorful sauce that kept us coming back for more. The waffles were exactly what you want them to be. Between the delicious food, creative cocktails, excellent service, and great atmosphere, Sunday's Best was a great brunch experience. We'll definitely be back!

We really had fun with the decor here. It kind of had an Asian vibe to it, but it was pleasant and enjoyable, very clean. We had no complaints with the service. Our waiters were prompt and attentive, and responsive. Basically everything you would expect. The food was good in fact it was better than good. It wasn't anything that blows you away, but it also did not disappoint and as far as a brunch stop goes, you really can't beat a location like this. It's a solid choice. I will say this, the beignets weren't classic beignets. It was more of cream puff pastry style, but it was still really enjoyable in the jam was very good.

Very busy on a recent Father's Day. We were greeted and seated right on time for our reservation...while those without a reserved time faced a lengthy wait. Service staff is very active and in motion...covering a lot of ground. The hustle is appreciated...but it can also make the experience feel a bit rushed. Food was solid on all counts. Meats, eggs, breads/grains were good. Beignets were a bit different than my experience...but held their own against. Coffee was served warm and quickly went cold, with no offer to refill or warm. Price points were good. Beverage availability was above Utah-average. The layout was quite noisy with the crowd.

Super cute spot with pretty good food. The service is average. I had a reservation and had to wait for 30+ mins to be seated. Not the greatest first impression. The service after we were seated was pretty slow. The food is good. I had the truck stop breakfast. All of the meals are reasonably priced. If you're going to order anything -- order the powdered beignets!

I've now been to this location 3x (not by my own choice) and each time it's been consistently horrible. The service is absolute trash. We ordered matcha drinks, one came out with a hair in it, we asked for a replacement, the waitress that brought it out had so much attitude when she set it at our table & stormed off. We didn't make a fuss about the drink, we just asked for a new one, you would have thought we were rude about it the way she acted. Then a few of us ordered the truck stop breakfast with poached eggs, none of our eggs were made to what I consider a poached egg (cooked white, runny yolk) they were like soft hard boiled eggs. So we ask for a replacement which then comes out on a bed of lettuce already cracked so the yolks is more on the lettuce & plate than in the egg. At no point after we got our food did we get asked if we wanted more drinks, if we needed salt/pepper/hot sauce/butter for any of our items. Then the check came without asking if we needed wanted anything else, it was more of a hint to hurry up & leave. Food has been subpar, service doesn't make up for it. Eating here id solely for people that want a picturesque pic for IG. Best part was the mimosa which I would have loved another but never saw the waiter to get another.

I visited the location in Sandy, UT. Such a cute place. Loved the decor and the coffee/bar area. Food was great and the service excellent. I ordered the Truckers Breakfast with a cappuccino. Definitely shareable portions. They also serve your bill in a cute little book which you can share your experience or even silly thoughts!

We ended up at Sunday Best because pancake house has a super long wait and it was the BEST thing that could have happened. The food was amazing!! Their menu had plenty of options so you can go sweet AND savory. I highly suggest getting the Powered Sugar Beignets w/ Raspberry Jam!! Steak and Eggs came with a side of potato crisps that were perfectly seasoned. The estimated the wait to be 20-30 minutes and we were seated in 15. Our waitress Neah was wonderful!! She was constantly refilling drinks and checking in on us. Overall the service was pretty quick for a busy Sunday morning. The inside is so cute and inviting!! It had the essence of a pink flamingo. There was plenty of indoor and outdoor seating. I did think some of the places they had the two tops made it a little crowded but overall pretty spacious.

I chose to go to Sunday's best in Sandy for my 30th birthday with a bunch of girlfriends for brunch. The food was great. It all came out pretty quickly and our server was very on top of it. All of the servers were absolutely gorgeous as well! All of my friends and I loved being here and this is definitely a place we would come again. There were so many fun pictures spots which just made it so much fun!

A great spot for brunch. The menu has a solid variety, and everything we tried was fresh, flavorful, and satisfying. From sweet to savory, the dishes are well-prepared and perfect for a leisurely morning out. The atmosphere is cozy and inviting, and the staff is friendly and attentive. The only reason I'm giving four stars instead of five is that it can get a little busy and have long wait times, which sometimes slows service. A delicious brunch spot I'd happily return to.

I'm gonna keep this short and sweet. Dining room was pleasant to eat in. My server was amazing and worked with me when I asked for recommendations. No mimosas before 11:30, but that's the state of Utah's fault. Ordered eggs beny, famously difficult to prepare. Poached eggs and hollandaise seemed perfectly made. Eggs runny when cut into and daise unbroken. The two negatives: 1. Pricey. 2. My meal was sub lukewarm. Makes me think it wasn't cooked to order. The upside is it came out super quick.

Sunday's Best is the BEST! Great food, great service and the Best value given the size of the portions and cost. Put all that in a very attractive setting, great patio and just a positive vibe. I had the BLT and it was far beyond my expectations! I've tried several items on the menu and not one has ever disappointed. Brunch is one of my favorites so I am very picky about it. I highly recommend Sunday's Best any day of the week!

I recommend reservations if you want a table on a Sunday. I walked in on a Sunday and they only had bar seating. Everything was reserved. Just prepare to sit at the bar

Do they have mimosas during the week?

    Yes they do!

Do they serve mimosa or Bloody Mary?

Sure do - they serve both of those. And they're delicious.

What are your gluten free options? Could I modify?

    Yes!

    Are reservations recommended?

Yes! They'll be shocked if you just show up. 2-hour waitlist last time I tried to just show up.

    Are kids allowed (age 10+)?

Sure! It's a restaurant, just a well-designed one, with delicious food.

Even during the week, the wait was 30+ mins each time. Food was great. We tried a lot of different pizzas - we got the Chicken Bro-Do, Hot Honey DP, Tikka Masala, Taco Camarones and Margherita. The airy artisan crust is the same on all pizzas and is delicious. I would recommend them all outside of the Camarones which felt a bit underwhelming as there was very little shrimp and flavor was flat. The Citrus Morita dry rub wings are incredible. We ordered these every night. The Morita chile sauce I would throw on everything. Super fresh and flavorful. It had the right amount of heat . The breadsticks are really good. Same bread that they use for the pizza and stuffed with a ton of cheese. Marinara sauce that comes with it is top notch. The Diablo sticks are spicy just to be spicy. The sauce isn't good. We switched to regular marinara. Would recommend staying away from these. Service is great. Everyone is very attentive. The staff definitely give off a chill energy but are focused, alert and friendly. This place is a must if you're in the area. Hope we can make it back someday.

They all were so good that we couldn't agree on a favorite. Breakfast burrito and ube pancakes for mains. The burrito was STUFFED with delicious chorizo, cheese, egg, and veggies. Wrapped in a super large tortilla then grilled for crispy exterior. Served with a fantastic salsa with hints chipotle heat. Great flavor but not so much that it buries the flavor. The ube pancakes were also incredible. Four large, lightly crisped cakes topped with ube whipped cream, blueberries, blueberry syrup drizzle, and a mint sprig. First bite was so good that I didn't talk for at least five minutes, so I could shovel in more and more. They came with a side of syrup, but it was definitely not needed. I'll certainly be back to try more menu items, but it'll be hard to resist temptation of the burrito. A well located, nicely designed space in the heart of Draper with a menu creative enough to make you want to come back and work your way through it. The execution on my first visit, however, did not quite match the ambition. First practical tip: join the waitlist before you leave home. This place is consistently busy on weekends and walking in cold means a long wait before you even sit down. We sat outside, which would have been great had the service kept up. It did not. Our waitress was largely absent and at one point I had to physically stand up and flag her down to get attention. That should never happen regardless of how busy the floor is. The Birria Hash was too greasy, the quesadilla spared on cheese, and the consommé arrived cold. The biscuits were fine, nothing more. Three stars for now, the menu is interesting enough that I am willing to give it another visit, the potential is there.

He said it was Utah's law and we said we're not from Utah how would we know the law. They should have told us before and it would not have been an issue. When my friend said she wanted another one, they should have said you can have another one but we would still have to charge for this one. But only for the stuff we ate and what's on the table so none of the entrees. So we asked for the tab quickly (as we are not trying to stay a minute longer) and we raised our finger to get someone's attention, AS PEOPLE NORMALLY DO, and this man goes "they are not your slave" bro what??? People normally raise their hands and wave their fingers to get servers attention. After that, we paid and left. Anyways, never come here if you want a perfect experience. Food was mid anyways.

For date night last night, my wife and I patronized Los Cucos here in Sandy, as it had been at least four years since we last ate at this restaurant. We were seated immediately, but it was almost as if we were in a different restaurant from what we remembered from our past visits. Last night it was bright, stark, noisy, and felt like a sports bar with all the many flat-screen TVs on the wall. They even had a huge speaker system hanging from the ceiling, set up, no doubt for large parties? Not what we expected for a well-patronized Mexican (Tex-Mex?) restaurant in Sandy. Rosa was our server and did a nice job taking care of us, but it really went downhill from there. The menu was impressive, I'll give them that...but so were the prices (and not in a good way.) My wife ordered Las Sebas (a mini smothered chimichanga with chile verde and two fried taquitos, served with rice and guacamole), and I went with my fave, Carnitas (chunks of slow-cooked pork loin served with tomatillo sauce, sour cream, fresh sliced avocado, onions, pico de gallo, rice, "borracho" beans, and tortillas.) Sounds de-lish, right? Keep reading. I also has a large Margarita ($12.25 + rocks & salt)...and we both enjoyed the chips and salsa...with a warm red salsa and a cool avocado salsa. Then the robot appeared. Yes, of all places, they use a robot to deliver the food to our table...but it still required a server to pull the plates off the robot and put them in front of us. A robot? Really? Our delivery robot stopped just shy of our table right there in the middle of the aisle, and it sat there...for 3-4 minutes waiting for staff. That was 3-4 minutes of our food cooling off even further, not to mention the time it took in the kitchen to load it and the time it took to crawl halfway across the restaurant to our table. Gimmick. I'll speak to my food as it had a nice presentation, but after digging in, it was lacking in many respects. The carnitas were chunky and moist, but damn those big fat globs that were hidden under the meat. Yuck. Honestly, I get much better carnitas locally from Gual Bertos and La Hacienda here in Draper. And the tortillas? Worthless. They were just dry, flaky, cold, and crumbled as I tried to roll them. I had one bite of one. A total waste. The rest of my plate was OK, especially the "borracho beans". The rest was OK but there wasn't a lot of it...and a fair amount (pico de gallo and the lettuce) was hidden under the two flat pieces of lettuce that the kitchen used to decorate my plate. All in all, it didn't seem worth the $21.00 I paid for my entree. I also took about 1/3 of my meal home in a hinged lid container. The whole experience could have been way better. The ambiance was terrible, the food was OK, service was good (but seemed rushed as Rosa brought us our check halfway through our meal and then immediately asked us if we wanted containers for take-home...what?), and the cost (the two entrees, a Sprite, and a large margarita) was $69.63 out the door with gratuity. Hmmmm. No value there. As I said earlier, it really could have been better. A lot better. And just how did this venue get voted "Best in SLC" for a Mexican Restaurant? 2 Stars, and we're never coming back.
