Rees's Roots - Sunday's Best in Sandy Utah
    Rees's R.

Sunday's Best in Sandy absolutely lives up to its name! From the moment we walked in, the restaurant had a fun, upbeat atmosphere with beautiful décor and friendly service that made us feel welcome. Every dish that came to our table looked like it belonged in a magazine, but the best part was that the food tasted just as incredible as it looked. We started with the Eggs Benedict, which featured perfectly poached eggs, flavorful rosemary ham, rich hollandaise, and crispy potatoes. The Funky Monkey French Toast was over-the-top in the best possible way, loaded with Nutella, bananas, berries, roasted peanuts, and real maple syrup. The double cheeseburger was juicy, packed with flavor, and paired perfectly with crispy fries. We also loved the Beet & Strawberry Panzanella, which balanced sweet strawberries, earthy beets, creamy whipped goat cheese, crunchy pecans, and fresh mint for a refreshing combination. The biggest surprise of the meal was the beignets. Warm, fluffy, and generously dusted with powdered sugar, they were easily one of the best we've ever had. They practically melted in our mouths and were worth the visit all on their own. If you're looking for an outstanding brunch spot in Utah with creative dishes, generous portions, and an unforgettable atmosphere, Sunday's Best is an easy recommendation. We can't wait to come back and try even more from the menu! Check out our video on our socials @reessroots

We had a fantastic Father's Day brunch at Sunday's Best to celebrate The Mister. The vibe was lively, fun, and welcoming. The service was wonderful from start to finish, attentive without being intrusive. For drinks, we ordered a Salty Dog, a mimosa, and the Dad's Pancake special Father's Day cocktail. All three were excellent. We started with the caviar pancake appetizer, which was a great way to kick off the meal. For our entrées, we ordered the smoked salmon toast and the chicken and waffles. Both dishes were outstanding. The smoked salmon toast was bright and fresh. I loved the hard boiled egg and dill. The chicken and waffles were a standout. The chicken was crispy and coated in a sticky, flavorful sauce that kept us coming back for more. The waffles were exactly what you want them to be. Between the delicious food, creative cocktails, excellent service, and great atmosphere, Sunday's Best was a great brunch experience. We'll definitely be back!

We really had fun with the decor here. It kind of had an Asian vibe to it, but it was pleasant and enjoyable, very clean. We had no complaints with the service. Our waiters were prompt and attentive, and responsive. Basically everything you would expect. The food was good in fact it was better than good. It wasn't anything that blows you away, but it also did not disappoint and as far as a brunch stop goes, you really can't beat a location like this. It's a solid choice. I will say this, the beignets weren't classic beignets. It was more of cream puff pastry style, but it was still really enjoyable in the jam was very good.

Very busy on a recent Father's Day. We were greeted and seated right on time for our reservation...while those without a reserved time faced a lengthy wait. Service staff is very active and in motion...covering a lot of ground. The hustle is appreciated...but it can also make the experience feel a bit rushed. Food was solid on all counts. Meats, eggs, breads/grains were good. Beignets were a bit different than my experience...but held their own against. Coffee was served warm and quickly went cold, with no offer to refill or warm. Price points were good. Beverage availability was above Utah-average. The layout was quite noisy with the crowd.

Super cute spot with pretty good food. The service is average. I had a reservation and had to wait for 30+ mins to be seated. Not the greatest first impression. The service after we were seated was pretty slow. The food is good. I had the truck stop breakfast. All of the meals are reasonably priced. If you're going to order anything -- order the powdered beignets!

I've now been to this location 3x (not by my own choice) and each time it's been consistently horrible. The service is absolute trash. We ordered matcha drinks, one came out with a hair in it, we asked for a replacement, the waitress that brought it out had so much attitude when she set it at our table & stormed off. We didn't make a fuss about the drink, we just asked for a new one, you would have thought we were rude about it the way she acted. Then a few of us ordered the truck stop breakfast with poached eggs, none of our eggs were made to what I consider a poached egg (cooked white, runny yolk) they were like soft hard boiled eggs. So we ask for a replacement which then comes out on a bed of lettuce already cracked so the yolks is more on the lettuce & plate than in the egg. At no point after we got our food did we get asked if we wanted more drinks, if we needed salt/pepper/hot sauce/butter for any of our items. Then the check came without asking if we needed wanted anything else, it was more of a hint to hurry up & leave. Food has been subpar, service doesn't make up for it. Eating here id solely for people that want a picturesque pic for IG. Best part was the mimosa which I would have loved another but never saw the waiter to get another.

I visited the location in Sandy, UT. Such a cute place. Loved the decor and the coffee/bar area. Food was great and the service excellent. I ordered the Truckers Breakfast with a cappuccino. Definitely shareable portions. They also serve your bill in a cute little book which you can share your experience or even silly thoughts!

We ended up at Sunday Best because pancake house has a super long wait and it was the BEST thing that could have happened. The food was amazing!! Their menu had plenty of options so you can go sweet AND savory. I highly suggest getting the Powered Sugar Beignets w/ Raspberry Jam!! Steak and Eggs came with a side of potato crisps that were perfectly seasoned. The estimated the wait to be 20-30 minutes and we were seated in 15. Our waitress Neah was wonderful!! She was constantly refilling drinks and checking in on us. Overall the service was pretty quick for a busy Sunday morning. The inside is so cute and inviting!! It had the essence of a pink flamingo. There was plenty of indoor and outdoor seating. I did think some of the places they had the two tops made it a little crowded but overall pretty spacious.

I chose to go to Sunday's best in Sandy for my 30th birthday with a bunch of girlfriends for brunch. The food was great. It all came out pretty quickly and our server was very on top of it. All of the servers were absolutely gorgeous as well! All of my friends and I loved being here and this is definitely a place we would come again. There were so many fun pictures spots which just made it so much fun!

A great spot for brunch. The menu has a solid variety, and everything we tried was fresh, flavorful, and satisfying. From sweet to savory, the dishes are well-prepared and perfect for a leisurely morning out. The atmosphere is cozy and inviting, and the staff is friendly and attentive. The only reason I'm giving four stars instead of five is that it can get a little busy and have long wait times, which sometimes slows service. A delicious brunch spot I'd happily return to.

I'm gonna keep this short and sweet. Dining room was pleasant to eat in. My server was amazing and worked with me when I asked for recommendations. No mimosas before 11:30, but that's the state of Utah's fault. Ordered eggs beny, famously difficult to prepare. Poached eggs and hollandaise seemed perfectly made. Eggs runny when cut into and daise unbroken. The two negatives: 1. Pricey. 2. My meal was sub lukewarm. Makes me think it wasn't cooked to order. The upside is it came out super quick.

BLT - Brioche bread bacon arugula with a Dijon citronette dressing, tomato confit and perfectly poached eggs .

Sunday's Best is the BEST! Great food, great service and the Best value given the size of the portions and cost. Put all that in a very attractive setting, great patio and just a positive vibe. I had the BLT and it was far beyond my expectations! I've tried several items on the menu and not one has ever disappointed. Brunch is one of my favorites so I am very picky about it. I highly recommend Sunday's Best any day of the week!

My family stayed down the street at the HGI in Sandy for 5 nights for my son's soccer tournament and we visited Slackwater 3 times. Pro tip: join the waitlist on Yelp! Even during the week, the wait was 30+ mins each time. Food was great. We tried a lot of different pizzas - we got the Chicken Bro-Do, Hot Honey DP, Tikka Masala, Taco Camarones and Margherita. The airy artisan crust is the same on all pizzas and is delicious. I would recommend them all outside of the Camarones which felt a bit underwhelming as there was very little shrimp and flavor was flat. The Citrus Morita dry rub wings are incredible. We ordered these every night. The Morita chile sauce I would throw on everything. Super fresh and flavorful. It had the right amount of heat . The breadsticks are really good. Same bread that they use for the pizza and stuffed with a ton of cheese. Marinara sauce that comes with it is top notch. The Diablo sticks are spicy just to be spicy. The sauce isn't good. We switched to regular marinara. Would recommend staying away from these. Service is great. Everyone is very attentive. The staff definitely give off a chill energy but are focused, alert and friendly. This place is a must if you're in the area. Hope we can make it back someday.

That means our table would be given away if we didn't arrive 10 minutes BEFORE our reservation time. The pizza is fantastic. Which I kept saying to my party through bites of pizza. It is the crust that makes this pizza. It is a little sweet but not in a dessert way. It has the perfect chewy bite. I was impressed. I never eat pizza crust, not ever, but it was good enough that my dogs didn't get their usual crust treat. We tried 4 different pizzas and I would recommend any of them.

Today, we arrived and noticed the menu had changed. We ordered our usual Legendary Omelets--something we've ordered for years. Each omelet was priced at $16 with cheese and bacon, and we included several vegetables on each. When our bill arrived, we were shocked. One omelet was $25 and the other was $22. We asked our waitress how a $17 omelet had increased so much and were told that Legends is now charging $1 for each and every vegetable added to an omelet. While it was listed on the menu, we didn't realize each vegetable would be an additional charge. It should have been communicated that EVERY additional vegetable will be $1! Our total came to $51 before tip--for two omelets. We expected it to be around $35. We understand that restaurants have had to raise prices, and we don't mind paying more for quality food. What is disappointing is the feeling of being nickel-and-dimed over basic vegetable toppings that have always been part of how we've enjoyed our omelets. The vegetables added to an omelet are so minimal, I don't understand the change. Sadly, this pricing change means we'll no longer be returning. It's disappointing to lose one of our favorite breakfast spots over a pricing policy that just doesn't feel like a good value anymore.

Along with some outdoor seating, additional seating can be found upstairs if it gets really busy. They have lots of alcohol choices and a massive cocktail list; their spring/summer cocktail list is available now. One cocktail they have I thought was clever was The Ghost of Burt Reynolds. We ordered a beer flight that consisted of the following beers; Cherny Bock (Czech black lager), Noble Hefeweizen (German-style Hefe), Bohemian Weiss (unfiltered wheat lager), and Viennese Amber (malty amber lager). Out of all these, my favorites were the Noble Hefeweizen and the Viennese Amber beers. For food, I got the Margherita pizza and my LTP got the Reuben sandwich with fries on the side. We had just completed a nearly six hour long drive to Utah from Nevada and I ended up finishing the entire pizza, which is a rare thing for me to do when I go out to eat. My LTP, on the other hand, who ALWAYS finishes everything on his plate, was the complete opposite. He could only finish one part of his sandwich and half his fries before deciding to take it back with him. I really enjoyed the European-style feel of this place. The interior is very similar to that of a ski lodge, complete with a fireplace in the downstairs dining area. I would love to come back to Bohemian Brewery during our next trip to Utah.
