I didn't care for the pop tart pastry, there was not very much filling in it and the pastry puff was dry and flat. I think I'll stick to pancakes next time for scratching the sweet tooth. 3/5 service. Food took 30 minutes to come out. It was not super busy around 10:30am on a weekday. We came here on a weekday around 10am, and were able to sit at the bar. The wait to sit at the table would have been a few more hours. The other time we had attempted to come was on a Sunday and the wait was 3 hours. So you definitely need a reservation if you are coming on a weekend . We ordered a lavendar chai latte, churro french toast, and eggs benedict to share. The food takes awhile to come out, so it was really nice to sit at the bar and observe the kitchen. The interior is super cute and reminds me of son & garden in sf / menlo park. This is a great place to come and dress up with friends. The churro french toast was really yummy!! The eggs benedict was cooked slightly too long but still tasty. The lavendar latte was $9 , I guess the extra shot was $3. I liked the smaller ones because they were crispy but the bigger ones where not good to me. I'll take a batch of the crispy ones -$13 My friend ordered huevos rancheros and mentioned she liked the freshness of the cabbage and radishes but also felt the meat was too heavy and did not end up eating it. Orange juice isn't fresh squeezed. FYI I don't know when they serve alcoholic drinks. Because someone next to me ordered Bloody Mary and then she mentioned in 15 minutes you can would you like to wait? so maybe 11am they serve them I don't know I did find it expensive in the end it's like 30 dollars a person. My friends and I came here for brunch on a Sunday at 11:30 and it was packed! Even with our reservation, we had to wait about 15 minutes. The vibe of this restaurant was adorable! California chic is the best way I can describe it. It's a different vibe than most places around Utah, and if you're from or have grown up visiting the trendier spots of Southern California, you'll feel right at home. Our waitress was sweet and clearly did the best she could, despite the packed house. Wait times were a little on the slower side from our arrival to the end of our meal, but nothing outrageous. I highly recommend securing a reservation if you plan on visiting for a Sunday brunch. The mocha comes either hot or iced. It was delicious! It's definitely on the stronger side, so if you like your mochas sweet, either request sugar packets or do what I did and scrape the chocolate syrup off the sides of the cup and mix it in with the coffee. I ordered my eggs benedict with an over-medium egg instead of the poached egg it normally comes with, and it was beyond tasty! The hash brown it came with was perfectly crisp and seasoned well, and once my waitress brought out those little metal cups filled with ketchup, my brunch was complete. My friend ordered the matcha latte and the coconut waffle and she absolutely loved both! She even ordered an avocado toast to go because she was so impressed with everything she ordered. The prices were fair for a trendy little brunch spot, and the food quality was outstanding. Yes the wait times can be a bit of a nuisance if you're looking for a quicker brunch, but if you're willing to take things a little slower on a Sunday morning, it will absolutely be worth it at Sunday's Best. read more

This is the perfect place for a fun brunch with friends. The ambiance is great, very trendy and lots of photo opportunities! The service was also great. Our waitress was super friendly, and attentive. The food itself was okay. A few of us got the eggs benedict and the eggs were all a little over cooked, no runny yolk like you would want. Because I live off of reviews I couldn't help but review this restaurant for those interested in going. Let's go! I have wanted to try this place for a long time and I was not disappointed one bit! I think we all (the group I was with) were thrilled with what we got and enjoyed our brunch. Every detail is so fun and brings such a vibe to the space. The food was great and the service was excellent, our waitress was on top of things and very friendly. The books to write in when you get your check at the end were a nice touch to wrap it all up. I got the Truck Stop breakfast which looks super simple, it's not as simple in taste as it looks, it tastes amazing. The jam, the sausage, all of it had its own unique flavor which I really enjoyed. I tried the avocado toast and that was yummy too. I got a mimosa and a matcha latte (subbed out the milk for oat milk and it was yummy but I do think it would have been better with the dairy , unless you can't have dairy obviously) but dairy milk in my opinion just gives it the best flavor and texture. I saw some reviews about food being bland... mine was so flavorful. I saw reviews about it being too loud/ the music being too loud ... the music I think was perfect and it wasn't too loud but sometimes it was when people were talking loud which is ... normal. I'm definitely not their target market since I don't drink and I'm old enough to be the mother of most of the employees. This day bar is only open until 3:00 on weekdays and 4:00 on weekends. I met three high school friends here for brunch on a Saturday. We were seated in the corner by the big photo wall/bar. The guests at the two neighboring tables could eat off of our plates if they wanted--we were that close. And the loud music is not the best when you're trying to catch up with friends you haven't seen for awhile. My plate was dirty with crusted food so I got another at an empty table which also dirty. Third time was good. Silverware is wrapped in nice cloth napkins. Beautiful dishes and glasses. There is a nice front lounge with comfy couches. Decorated stylishly. Remington was a great server (very handsome too, by the way). He brought our appetizers (the beignets were much better than the dense monkey bread) along with a carafe of water since that's all we were drinking. He was friendly and attentive with our meals (fish tacos/beet salad with grapefruit segments, goat cheese and strawberry vinaigrette--no pistachios as mentioned on the menu and WAY too much spring greens for the proportions). Remington graciously split our bill four ways and brought takeout boxes. Seemed like most diners were celebrating special occasions. Reservations are required. We drove around for several minutes before finding a parking spot. I thought the food was expensive. Don't know if I'll be back but they certainly won't miss my business. read more

Decided to give this place another chance and it is just as beautiful as the first time but not much else has changed except it's louder than before so I can't even enjoy sitting there on the beautiful velvet chairs. The food is perhaps instagrammable but I'd stop there. My poached egg did not drip, very disappointing for brunch. There was WAY too much bay seasoning on the poached egg and though the brioche bread was thick and deliciously crispy and soft, you can't really mess up a brioche. I'm unsure if they made that bread from scratch but it was the only truly scrumptious item I had. The avocado toast was sad and more like an egg salad atop some avocado and butter on bread. I did like that they cut it into three pieces but it was underwhelming. I wish they'd improve the food, it's beautiful but I'd stop there. read more

I planned a work lunch here and we had a blast! The service was on point and the restaurant has such a cute vibe! Our server was super sweet and accommodating to our party of 8. She came over periodically to check if we needed anything and kept our glasses full! A couple coworkers and I ordered one of the bloody Mary experiences and although it was presented well, it didn't pair well with the flavor of the bloody Mary. It seemed like the cheeses kind of contradicted each other and were too overpowering of the bloody Mary's. I personally didn't like the flavor of the bloody Mary itself either. Honestly the presentation was the only thing noteworthy about it though. The bread was too thick and dry and the whipped cream melted so quickly it made the cereal soggy. The monkey bread and the beignets were okay, just a bit too sweet for my taste. I think this place is more of an experience than it is a new favorite place to eat, but due to the attentive staff and the cuteness of the restaurant design, I'd say try it out if you want to take some cute pictures. My best friend has been living here and always raves about it... so we went and she pretty much said she liked everything on the menu. First it was great we had a reservation because we sat down quickly. Overall, the food was ok I ordered a Cobb Salad and it was just too much food to be on a plate (maybe a bowl would be better and the my friend ordered fish tacos ... they would be great if they were seasoned I mean even just a little salt and pepper! He was nice to the tables next to us but treated us like step children, We asked for ice 4-5 times (5th time he brought us 2 glasses when we only needed 1, he said my card declined but then said he got a chip mishap error but I tested my card right after and it worked, he also just was not friendly! I see him laughing with people next to us but barely stopping to see if we needed anything. I asked for a side of dressing & not sure if it was joke but he brought out this bowl of dressing. I would hate to think he was that way because of me being black (the other tables were all white) because he was black himself but idk! One of my best friends treated me out to brunch for my birthday back in March. Snow was still on the ground, and parking was a bit crazy, but not too bad. We had reservations, so getting our table was an easy transition. The decor was really fun! We ordered beignets and coffee to start off. I got the fried rice and my best friend got the benedict dish. I was disappointed that they were out of grapefruit juice but the Dr. Pepper is always a good substitute. I ordered the chicken and waffles. It comes with a side of buffalo butter and syrup. The waffles and the chicken were cooked really well! I thought that the flavors were wonderful and the syrup tied it all together. My only complaint was the buffalo butter. I thought it added a strange flavor to the plate and could have done with regular butter instead. If you want to add some spice I'd suggest making the chicken batter have some heat to it to balance it all out. All in all it was a fun breakfast place and the food was cooked really well. I have been to Sunday's Best a number of times now and for some reason have not put out a review. My friends and I absolutely adore this restaurant! There is always parking, even when it looks full. So that's huge. Then you walk inside and are instantly greeted by the cutest decor. I highly recommend making a reservation otherwise you're likely in for a bit of a wait, but the staff does their best to make sure you're aware and they keep things moving pretty well. They also have a DJ or some sort of live music during the weekends which I think just adds to the fun of the vibe. Everything I've ever eaten has been so yummy, both sweet and savory items alike are killer. Some of my favorites are the breakfast burrito and their version of beignets. And you can't go wrong with their cocktails! They have the traditional brunch drinks like a Bloody Mary, espresso martini, mimosas, and then a few non-traditional knockouts. We don't go here expecting a typical cheap diner-style brunch. It's a little more pricey, but totally worth it. Great for special events, or just something a little out of the norm for your everyday eating. read more

I had my suspicions about this place after looking at the menu a few weeks back in advance of having brunch there today. The menu wasn't my kind of menu, as I'm a tad bit on the old-school side and prefer good old-fashioned diner breakfasts. However, my wife and I met her sister and husband there to celebrate a birthday, so I tagged along and tested the waters. The place was packed on a Saturday morning (...glad we had reservations,) and hard to find a parking spot at 11:00 AM. We sat down and I immediately noticed the low roar of the place. Nary a single sound absorbent panel to be found, as the noise from the patrons and the kitchen was noticeable. We had to raise our voices across the table for everyone to hear just normal conversation. But enough neon and trendy wallpaper to even make a Wendover casino green with envy. The menu was interesting, to say the least. I chose the huevos rancheros and my wife had the eggs benedict with a side of avocado. I started with one of their Bloody Marys and my wife had a mimosa with an orange juice backup. My Bloody Mary was not your typical Sunday brunch Bloody Mary...and I didn't care for it, and I would not order it again. It was a house Bloody Mary mix on top of granulated ice with "Old Bay" seasoning on the rim. Who does that? Old Bay? The drink was garnished with a slice of bacon, a pickle chunk, and a large green olive that was missing its pimento. Probably one of the most bitter and unappealing Bloody Marys I've ever had. My wife's egg benedict was good, and a lot of food. It came with a big square hash brown, and she took 1/2 of it home because there was so much. My huevos rancheros was, well, the oddest looking huevos rancheros that I've ever experienced. I call that kind of presentation "Tall Food" where they stack the food to be tall and give it that trendy California chic look. But it was weird...it had two hard tortillas with a wealth of raw shredded cabbage on top. Huh? That was on top of some pork carnitas and covered with various sauces and two eggs. Honestly, I was starving and ended up eating the whole thing, and yes it tasted OK...and yes, I overcame the silly 'chic tall food' display...but it barely resembled anything from a typical diner or any ethnic meal. The final nail in the coffin was the prices. With all that we had, my wife and I had a tab of $62.77 + gratuity. My huevos rancheros alone were $20! Damn. The best part was some great service from "Lefty" who took care of us very well. Three "meh" Stars for food and ambiance. Won't be going back...instead we'll be heading to Jim's Family Restaurant nearby. read more
