This is a clothing shop right on main street in downtown half moon bay whose claim to fame is custom work and alterations. Parking is street only, which here just means if you are not right infornt, then you'll be down a block or so, No biggie. This is a smaller space with a fair selection of Asian themed fashion items, mostly dresses, although there is the usual selection of accessories-bangles, costume jewelry, bags, clutches, etc. The stock is fairly priced for what it is-fair to lower quality fast fashion imports-but the owner/store's main selling point is the custom sewing work that can be done. Alterations are fair enough, but I can't speak for any dressmaking as we haven't needed that service. Pricing is by the job and as such there is no fixed rate. As a fashion shop this isn't so great, but as a fashion shop what can fix/alter/mend to fit? Yeah four stars. read more

I've been in to see her a few times over the last couple years for bridesmaid dress alterations as well as blouses and slacks. All her work has been high quality, so I knew I needed to go to her when I required alterations for my wedding dress. She did an amazing job. We stopped by this little shop while strolling around Downtown Half Moon Bay. The store's offerings are mostly from Thailand, but the beautiful jackets are created by the charming proprietress. The prices are very reasonable and the knickknacks are all adorable. Since we usually try to get something to remind us of a good day, I procured a pair of beautiful earrings while the daughter chose a Thai dancer doll keychain. When I received my wedding dress- it was way too big! The sleeves were literally double the size of my arm and the body was baggy all over. I had a moment of panicking because I only had a short time to find someone to do alterations. Suneenat transformed both of them into darling, figure fitting knee-length dresses. I wore them in Hawaii with my aunt and she did not even recognize them! I had so many compliments from people asking me where I bought them. My husband had all of his suits tailored by Suneenat after he lost weight and was very happy with the fit and look of them. I took my grandmother's coat and a dress that I needed to be altered to Suneenat, because my regular tailor in El Granada is taking some time off, and I like to support the locals. I let the owner know, I needed the dress for a wedding in 2 weeks, but she could take longer on the coat, since it was more entailed. She told me it was not problem, and I responded that I would be back on the Friday before the wedding to pick up my dress. Their sign on their door specifically states that they are open until 6PM EVERYDAY. Well, I got there at 5:15PMon the day she promised it would be ready, and the store was closed. I was not happy. Then, all of sudden, she happened to see us, and came to the door. I told her I was there to pick up my dress for the wedding. The dress and my grandmother's coat were left on the counter where she left them 2 weeks prior, not even touched. I was most upset. So, I had to wear another dress to the wedding, and told her I would pick up the others at a later time. First of all, do not promise clothing to be ready on a certain date if you cannot follow through. If you are too busy, then do not take on the work you cannot do! Also, I was really upset that your store was closed, and that you just happened to see us outside. Most people would have been more upset with you, but I just picked up my things finally, and left. I will never return to her store again. read more

I had a good experience with Suneenat previously, but this time I took in two pairs of men's suit pants to be shortened. He tried them on, and she marked one leg. When I picked them up and got them home they did not fit. I measured them and each of the 4 legs was a different length! I had to re-do them myself. read more
