They have a new shop location in Arlington. It is very nice and new. They have around 9 pedicures chairs. I had Christina and she was amazing!! They take their time to listen to what you want. She was very skilled in applying the powder for a new set of acrylics. It was perfection!! She also did a French manicure by hand and every nail was matched. Every nail was smooth. They did an amazing pedicure too! I highly recommend this shop to everyone!! I will definitely be returning and this will be my regular shop going forward! read more

What a great experience... I should have given them a chance sooner... especially since the sunflower is my fav flower (Maryland girl)! Susan was amazing, very gentle, and attentive to my aches!! I have my own gel nail equipment at home, but sometimes it is nice to go out and get pampered. She made my nails and skin brand new - the lotions, oils, wax, etc. all worked their magic on my skin. Sunflower Nails is a good place for a manicure and pedicure for men. It is set up as a normal spa. The pedicure chairs are comfortable and have massage built in. They used very warm water; which is nice since other places tend to run it cooler than I want. The manicurist asked if it was warm enough and turned up the temp for me as well. I had the sugar scrub set which included tea. The tea was hot and refreshing. The price was a bit expensive. The manicure was $25 and the pedicure was $40 = $65. They have a 20% discount now so it brought it down to $52, plus tip. That's about $10 higher than I normally pay even after their discount. I'm glad I tried them since they are new to the neighborhood. Bonus is I don't have to drive 30 minutes to my normal location. I will use them occasionally. Also, they have other services, such as massage available. I didn't try so no judgment on that. read more

Came here based on the reviews but i would not revisit. They did a great job in my feet but my acrylic application wasn't good. I was cut multiple times with the drill and the lady reassured me that she didn't cut me, but i could see the blood on my cuticle. It's part of the nail experience I guess but i didn't enjoy it. I ended up leaving early due to the pain from my cuticles. Still tipped well because maybe it was an off day for her. I went to another salon to get the acrylic removed after one week due to separation of the acrylic from my real nails and snagging on my hair. The new nail salon informed me that the acrylic on my nail seemed to be set with MMA. Im not sure if that is true but it was very gummy and dried very fast during the removal process, took 1 hour in total to remove. Ambiance was great and the ladies were very nice. I was hoping this would be my new salon home but the search continues. read more

Based on reviews I read, I made an appointment with Hannah for dip and pedicure. I arrived 30min early and checked in. Someone greeted me and asked if I checked in. Even though this was my first visit to this salon I had already checked in and told lady I was early, my appointment was not until 11am, she said ok. At 10:45am someone walked in and said she called for a simple manicure and they told her to have a seat. At 10:58 another customer walked in for her 11am appointment. They asked her if she could come back in 30 minutes. She said no, I have an appointment and left. Now, arrived 30 minute early for my 11am appt and they never mentioned a delay. The lady that wanted a simple manicure was asked if she could wait a little longer and she said yes. Then they asked me if I could comeback in an hour and a half. I told them I had an 11am appt for nails and pedi and had received their confirmation via text yesterday. While I was early no one mentioned a delay and now they are asking I returned in an hour and a half!! My entire day was planned with 30min cushion. Within those 5mins they were asking us to return they lost 3 clients. I can understand most situations but not when I sat there for 30 minutes and no one mentioned they overbooked because book lady didn't write things in books! Not until the third customer walked in for her appt. Did they acknowledge a mess up. I will Not return as I don't have 3 extra hours in my day to wait around. If they had acknowledged the delay when I arrived I would of been happy to run my errands and return. CUSTOMER SERVICE IS KEY! read more

I really wanted to love this nail salon. My nails were so beautiful and my pedicure came out amazing. The problem is the customer service. The very first time I went to this salon Hannah did my nails and ran out of time to do my pedicure. She asked me to come back the next day and I went back just to find out she never put the appt in and someone else had to do it. I didn't fuss I just rolled with it because it came out great anyways. The second time I called on a Wednesday for a Friday appt. I got there Friday morning just to find out they scheduled the appt for the wrong day. Although Hannah apologized for her friend's mistake she asked me to come back later. They didn't offer for someone else to do it or even try to accommodate me after traveling 40 mins to get there. It wasn't my mistake it was there's. I took the morning off specifically to do my nails and they had no kind of consideration or anything. I would've scheduled the appt online but their website doesn't allow you to book for Fridays on there. Highly disappointed! read more

My friend and I stopped by for pedicures and my pedicure left a lot to be desired. It seemed like the woman did not want to do my toes as she rushed through the steps. I questioned why the woman doing my nails did not use cuticle softner before cutting my cuticles and she claimed that I didn't need it. Although I have never had a pedicure without that being used on my feet, I went with it - even as I saw my friend's pedicurist use it for her. Here's were I got really frustrated. My pedicurist used the pumice block for about 5 seconds on each foot, which did nothing. (Did you count to 5 to see how long that is? Lol) I asked her if she could do it some more and she told me "I did it." I said "right, you did a little. I'm asking you to do some more because it does not feel smooth." She told me that she could do the callous remover for $10 more. I politely told her that I did not need the callous remover, just a bit more of the pumice. She then handed the pumice to me! I took it and used the pimice on my feet and smoothed out the skin that I was talking about and let her know that it was ridiculous that I had to do it myself. She didn't even use whaterver lotion-like substance that is used before pedicurists use the pumice block. But guess what? The pedicurist who did my friend's toes pulled that stuff out of a draw and used it on my friend. So, the shop clearly had the stuff to use. My pedicurist just didn't use it. Then, she put the paraffin wax treatment on my feet (since I was getting gel polish for $18 more). That was a joke because she didn't even use enough to cover my foot or leave it on long enough to harden properly. Then, she "massaged" the lotion onto one leg while the paraffin wax bag was still on my foot. Massaaged is in quotes because there was no pressure applied at all - she merely rubbed the lotion on my leg. When she did the right side, she took the bag off of my foot and actually massaged my right foot. At that point, I asked if she could do my left foot since she had the bag on that side and didn't do the left foot. She told me "it's ok if it's not the same." What kind of response is that? At this point I was all the way done. $50 for a pedicure that was sub-standard and I actually had to pumice my own feet. Needless to say, I changed my mind about getting a full set there. *Nancy, the other pedicurist, actually put in effort as she did my friend's pedicure. So, if you do end up here, ask for her. Unfortunately, I don't know the name of the lady who did mine. read more

UPDATED COMMENT: The fact that the owner responded about my chipped nail polish but NOTHING else I mentioned let's u know they are full of SHYT! Eff them all. I made an appointment to treat my cousin and I for a mani and pedi (first time visiting bcuz our regular nail techs have been OOO). While my toes were drying, the old lady dragged her hand across my toes while walking near my area (I was in the pedi chair). WHY WOULD SHE DO THIS?! I kindly told her plz be careful as my toes are not dry (THERE WAS NO REASON FOR HER TO TOUCH ME!!!) Well she told her crew she didn't like me and bcuz of that they decided to make me wait 3 hours while my cousin got her nails done bcuz they said only 2 techs cld do SNS (apparently the old lady was the one that was going to do them for me initially) this is what my cousins nail tech told her in ENGLISH. Long story short they overcharged me and made my cousin pay AGAIN after she came from the bathroom. I went back inside and told them to break out their calculator.
