Absolute bottom of the barrel, do yourself a favor, and do not come to this location. We came in with a simple return brand new sunglasses. We had the email confirmation complete with the order number. When we arrived at the store, The girl who was supposed to be there, Makayla, was missing. Somebody else was standing in for her and said she would be back in 15 minutes. As strange and unprofessional as that was, we decided to come back 15 minutes later. We waited in line to do the return. After waiting for at least 15 minutes, instead of taking us next in line, she asked if somebody had an exchange, and then started helping the people behind us in line. She didn't seem able to do much help for them, and it took about 20 minutes of us waiting around. Why did Makayla help the people behind us in line 1st? Not sure. When she finally saw us, Makayla was not able to process the return. Even though we had the email confirmation, the order number, the merchandise, etc. She went through a variety of excuses. It was clear to us that she did not know what to do in this simple situation. Instead of reaching out to get help from a manager or coworker, etc., Makayla continued to make various excuses, including the system, was down and not working. It was obvious to us that she was not motivated to even find a solution. She told us to just leave and that she couldn't help us. I said she could do a manual return. After a while she reluctantly said she would do that, but she could not return the refund to the original credit card payment method. What a nightmare. Spoiler alert... This whole fiasco wasted over one hour of our beautiful Sunday when it should've taken no more than three minutes, tops!... I got on my phone and tried to call corporate, but they were closed. I called the Irvine Spectrum location and spoke to the nicest and most knowledgeable and helpful customer service, Shain. Note: not sure of the spelling, my apologies, this is just what phone dictation is putting down. Given the order number over the phone, The order was easily pulled up within seconds I asked Shain if they would be willing to talk Mikayla through the process, and even then Mikayla was pressing the wrong buttons, and simply saying her system was not working. After Shain being helpful and supportive and persistent, Mikayla finally was able to process the return. During the entire transaction, we were optimistic, cheerful, upbeat, supportive, and try to lend moral support. BUT THE BIGGEST CONCERN was Mikayla's bad attitude. She clearly didn't give a F&ck! Truly made it clear she did not care about customer service. I really am turned off from going to Sunglass hut now, but if I ever do, it will definitely be the Irvine Spectrum location. Stay away from this location at all costs. My advice to management is the simply close this location, at least, temporarily, if you cannot find somebody competent and motivated to do the bare minimum, as it really destroys the brand. read more

Let me tell you, when you live in Southern California (SoCal) the sun never seems to leave. I love it! However, the sun's rays are so powerful I have to cover myself with sunscreen and sunglasses! Gotta protect my vision! I came here for a new pair of sunglasses. Imelda Marcos (google her!) has a collection of shoes, I've got a collection of sunglasses. Okay, I don't have 3,000 sunglasses but I do have a few. Not all from Sunglass Hut or designer brand...I love Target! Anyway, Shane (manager?) helped me pick out one that went perfectly with my face! I am no fashionista, but he sure made me feel like I was! So friendly, great customer service, and knowledgeable about styles and UV protection! Thank you, Shane for your help! First things first, Ro is awesome! I have been looking for the perfect frames for prescription sunglasses when I walked into Sunglass Hut and met Ro. She helped me remember her named by singing "Row, Row, Row your boat..." She was patient as I decided between aviator or wayfarer style. Trying on every variation before deciding on the Prada Linea Rossa. Thank for making my experience a great one. I will be coming back to Sunglass Hut and referring every one I know. Apparently Sunglass Hut can sell scratched sunglasses but they can't accept them in return. Bought a pair of sunglasses, never used them so came back to return them. The sales associate told me they could not take scratched sunglasses. They sold them to me like that. Then she went to tell me how unfortunate it was, that this wasn't her rule and that she was so sorry. If at least she hadn't been to hypocrite. She simply didn't care, be open and honest about it! I will be contacting corporate about my horrific experience tonight with Jessica. I came into this store, and it was EMPTY. Instead of helping she was busy checking herself out in the mirror while I was trying to talk to her about why CORPORATE told me to visit. Did she want to help? NOPE. After feeling ignored, another person comes in from the back, jessica says " you deal with her, i have to go to the bank". Im thinking "am i hearing this correctly?" I was pissed. I had two issues: i needed help with my Versace glasses that had broken midline. And ironically, had purchased a few days earlier a pair of Diors that I wanted a credit adjustment on since signs posted said my glasses would apply. Is it my fault this chick couldnt find it in the system and didnt know how to do her job? No! Her rudeness and unprofessional behavior was shocking!! I will NEVER step foot into this store. EVER!! I was going to buy another pair of glasses pending how she rectified my earlier issue . I almost wanted to return everything, say "f-it" and take my money and my business to neimans . She was talking to me as if I never owned high end glasses. Are you kidding me with your judgmental tone? I finally had enough. I was in the area and decided to check out this mall. We wandered into the Sunglass Hut store and immediately greeted by a young lady, Pegah. I was in no rush to buy sunglasses but thought I'd check out whats new. She was so sweet from the start and really narrowed down my search for the perfect pair. I was impressed at how she was so patient even though I wasn't sure what I wanted, and she went above and beyond to assist me with sizing and melting to make the glasses fit just right. I didn't get a chance to buy that day because I had to leave due to baby crying, but I wanted to put a good word in for her because she really impressed me with her customer service! =) read more

This is officially my favorite sunglass hut. I am HUGE on my sunglasses (I buy faaaar too many) and I already knew that sunglass hut takes good care of their customers. So why is this one my favorite, the answer is easy!!! CUSTOMER SERVICE. I went today with my Mum and had the best experience with Maureen Soler the store manager. I will say that I have not always had the best service at every single sunglass hut, but I GUARANTEE that if you go to this particular store and have the fortune of being serve by Maureen you will be a very happy camper! I will ALWAYS go back to her now. The other stuff you already know, they have a great selection, its a clean store. The difference between all the sunglass stores to me is the staff, and I hate when the staff is rude and inconsiderate. A trait that I find all too common in most sunglass stores. Overall you know they will take care of you, and at this particular store they care about how customers are treated! Just a few tips you may not know, keep your receipt from any sunglasses that you buy from them they generally give you great warranty and take great care of people that have bought glasses from them. Walked in scared of customer service everyone has mean comments on here but I had the best encounter. Brooke the sales girl was so nice and the manager (guy worked for Oakley for years) even nicer. We had a 20 min conversation about Sunglasses and boats and got 4 of my previously bought shades here adjusted for summer. I wanted new shades but didn't love what was in stock and they were so nice that I didn't see any I liked. Not at all pushy. Great people. Great location. My husband and I went to the sun glass hut in Corona a few months ago to buy a pair of ray bands for him. When we left he thought that the pair he had bought fit weird but we ended up walking out with them anyways. After a couple months, he decided that he wanted to see if we could go back and get them adjusted or exchanged. When we went there there the manager told us that she could try to adjust them in her machine but because we were 2 days past the return date that she could not return them because it would Mess up her inventory. 2 days! She "adjusted" then and said that even though they felt weird to him that they looked straight from her perspective. So we walked out with the same problem. Fast forward to a couple weeks after, we went into the mission viejo store while at the mall to see if there was a person there that would be accommodating. Maureen was amazing. We told her our story and that the lady said that there was nothing she could do because we were 2 days short and she said to bring them in and she would take a look at them. We brought them back last night and she could tell right away that they could Not be fixed with the machine. She gave us a new pair with no hassles. TERRIBLE customer service!! More that happy to sell me glasses. Bought two pair of expensive glasses. One pair snapped in half while I went to put them on. I tried twice to return. Was told that I needed to send into the manufacturer. I called them and they told me that Sunglass Hit could/should exchange them for me because they would have to charge me $50+13 processing. Plus shipping. So, I went back to Sunglass Hut and they refused to exchange... I will never buy from them again!!! read more

Horrible. Fire the whole damn staff and try again. I came in here to return brand new glasses. I could see the look of despair on the cashiers face as she noticed I was approaching with a bag with glasses. She started in with the usual questions (e.g. "is there something wrong with them?" and "can I assist you in finding a new pair?") when I said no she ran with the glasses over to a 20-something 65 year old white woman with a nasty attitude. She goes "there's a scratch." They huddled around the glasses and cane back to the cash register. She asked if they could give me a credit instead of having to refund, to which I promptly declined. They then both went to the back counter and gathered around the glasses again. This time they returned and claimed that a stud was missing off the frames. A damn lie! These two deplorable souls actually picked a stud off the rim in order to deny me a refund. I literally cannot believe it. Literally. I have NEVER in all my days seen such unethical behavior. NEVER. Not only will I NEVER come to this location again(because clearly they cannot be trusted), but I'll never set foot in another sunglass hut so help me God! Shameful! SHAMEFUL. read more
