The issue was upgraded to the manager. However the store would not make me a new pair, they did not re-imberse me or give me credit, I had to forfeit the amount paid (which was a lot). I took the same prescription to Warby Parker, they had a one month return policy and the frames coast 1/8th the price. The best part was that I could see well with the glasses!

Went on a Saturday to get my prescription for glasses/contacts updated and I was in and out within…read more30 minutes. No long waits and the eye exam was quite simple. Didn't have to second guess myself on the whole "can you see better 1 or 2" routine. To be clear though I did not get the health of my eyes checked, I did the "5 minute exam" which involved me looking into a red dot and getting pictures of my eye taken by a binocular looking machine. The results were then sent to an eye doctor who emailed me a prescription. By the following Saturday I had both a new pair of glasses and new contacts. Also, do not be intimidated when you realize you are not in a traditional eye doctor office, you are in a pharmacy but you get all the same exams done at a fraction of the cost and time spent. Josh was the optician who took care of me and did a fantastic job. I have another friend who went to him as well for glasses and the eye test, so I hope more people will check out his great service for the Astoria community.

I was told the glasses would be ready within 10 days, but no one ever called me when they arrived. When I followed up, I was told the lenses had a noticeable scratch and had already been reordered--without anyone notifying me of that either. The "solution" we were offered was for my wife to wear the display frames with the scratched lenses they initially received while waiting for a pair to be made. We found that solution frustrating and dismissive. No customer paying premium prices should be expected to walk around with damaged lenses especially when my wife made it clear she had her own temporary glasses and that option wouldn't work for her. Yet they claim they offer this solution often along with another solution to give a discount on another pair which also made no sense. If anyone actually agreed to those options I would be shocked. My wife also spoke with Savana, the store manager, and Sue, the district manager to no avail. Both felt like they were reading from the same script offering the same solution, which makes me believe this kind of problem happens more often than not. They brushed it off as if it were their usual routine. Whenever I've spent $1000 for glasses in the past, I've always had nothing but careful service with consideration for time and respect. If this could happened during their "Labor Day sales" I can't even begin to imagine how customers that paid full price feel. It feels more like they charged for "scratch resistant" but created plastic lenses to offset the "discount" she received just to make a sale. All trust is gone, save yourself the headache and go to a reputable provider.

It doesn't include "contact lens fitting", which will be an additional $35 for normally curved eyes or $65 for those with an astigmatism. And if you have never had contact lenses before, it is an additional required $50 to teach you how to place and take them off. Overall it's not a bad price total (compared to my very brief NYC pricing research), but I prefer transparency in pricing, especially as it relates to health related services. Nowhere in the groupon are these additional costs laid out, so keep it in mind. I made an appointment and was seen on time. The male doc was absolutely lovely and super helpful in getting through the appointment and the difficulty of popping those suckers on my eyeballs. I would highly recommend this place to someone who needs contact lenses.

Their eye exam is affordable but can be hit-or-miss, so check the experience level of the doctor on duty. Their frame selection is great, though I've only purchased frames from them once. I always find the service to be friendly and personalized. Irwin has been my go-to person. Prescription lenses typically take just over a week to be ready, which is quite standard. One cautionary note: I wouldn't bring horn frames here. Mine cracked along both rims a couple of weeks after I got them back, quite likely due to the lenses not being etched down sufficiently, although I cannot prove it. They were kind to have new lenses put in a plastic frame for no additional charge. iLook does warn of the risk of breakage of horn frames, but for plastic or metal frames, you can rely on their great service and professionalism.

Dr. Kim saw us and was very thorough with his explanation of his findings after the exams. Dixie spent a lot of time (very patiently) helping us to choose frames and decide what lenses to buy. Both Dixie and Dr. Kim were friendly and helpful and we are very happy to have found this lovely place to care for our eyes from now on.

I arrived approximately four minutes early and was not acknowledged by any staff member. At my actual appointment time, I approached the desk where another customer was still being assisted. The staff member simply said, "I'll be with you shortly," without apologizing, acknowledging the delay, or offering me a place to sit. There was, in fact, nowhere to sit, as other customers' belongings were left on the seating - and the staff made no effort to clear space. After the other customer finally left, the staff member again did not engage with me. I had to approach him and he again said he need "a few more minutes." I ultimately waited over 15 minutes past my appointment time before being seen. Had I walked in without an appointment, this delay would have been understandable. However, given that I booked a timed appointment and paid a deposit specifically for that purpose -- and given the complete lack of acknowledgment or apology -- the experience was unacceptable. If possible, I would give zero stars. Additionally, Breezm misrepresents its offerings. While it advertises three bridge styles, the more attractive frames are only available with a cheap, uncomfortable nose-clip style, which was both disappointing and misleading. The concept is promising, but the execution and customer service fall well short.

They were very light and comfortable, so I had high hopes the AI selection would choose the best frames for my face. In today's visit, Vinette showed me about 8 different frames and let me try them on until I was happy. The AI selection was pretty accurate for my face type. I felt really comfortable and well taken care of. More people need to know Breezm exists!
