bought x2 pairs of ray-bans from them just 1.5 years ago. Today went in ask for some simple adjustments but the guy in charge seemed very hesitated to help, told my Celine is not from them so due to risk of breakage from adjustment, can not help; 1 of the ray ban pair we purchased from them is not repairable according to him even though we willing take full acknowledgment of possible breakage from any adjustment. Ended up at site for sore eyes 5 min walking from them and got both pair repaired/adjusted in less 1min, FOR FREE. friendly excellent customer service there. Will never buy a single pair from this store again and recommend any potential buyer stay away from them as well. They don't carry anything special neither any special value on their merchandise anyways. Those who do not Stand behind their after sale service should never get repeated business, simple. This is their main store in the city and offers the largest selection of Raybans, Maui Jims, Vuarnet, Oakley, Prada, Revo, etc. There is another store in the Macy's and on Market street but this is a nicer collection and a nice location. The 170 Geary store was closed and this store was opened November 2014 Mario was very helpful in helping me select my new Tortoise Shell Ray Bans and we agreed as to the right occasions for wear and care. I have bought glasses there twice and both times had horrible customer service. The most recent time I lost my glasses and discovered that my insurance did not cover lost or stolen. I was in dire need of replacements and no one offered to help me. I had to ask and someone reluctantly helped (the other person glared at me). They did not offer information about sales and sales items - just pitiful poor service. Hmm, I hope this did not occur because I am a Black woman but it had all the signs of that. I just want to say that I really wanted to make a purchase today. Unfortunately, I won't be doing anything of the such. Sadly, my husband and I were made to feel extremely uncomfortable. We were being monitored and followed. We were provided assistance - but we didn't need the entire store's staff to help us. The young Asian lady stayed in very close proximity to us as we shopped. Please stop assuming you know what a customer will or will not do. We wanted to shop peacefully with occasional assistance - if needed. We won't be back, but we did get the model number of the shades and will purchase them online. I will contact the corporate offices on Tuesday to notify them of our experience. I would also encourage other customers who have a negative experience at this location to go on Twitter and/or Facebook to give your feedback. Shopping this weekend in SF and decided to stop in Sunglass Hut, Union Square. It was a Saturday, so the store was packed. People in and out like crazy. Whole family looking for sunglasses. We were greeted by Taylor, who was absolutely amazing. Super knowledgeable and despite her helping multiple customers at the same tome, her customer service was phenomenal! I just went in there and was totally upset that my new rayban aviators would not stay straight on my face. Not for one day, not for a half day, not on my face. I wasn't super welcoming and I didn't want to be sold on a new pair, I just wanted to return them and start over. The woman there was patient and helpful and a persistently nice. She got me a new pair and helped me out and explained that everything was fine and I was understood. The new pair is currently on my face and for the first time feels straight. I'm not currently pursuing a pair of sunglasses for myself, but if I were I would definitely come here! The staff are very friendly and helpful people. I came here to return a pair of sunglasses I bought for my mom in Santa Clara. There was an issue with their system calculating the tax difference that took a while to resolve. They were completely apologetic for something out of their control, but I understood and was also apologetic for the inconvenience. In the end, they were able to process my return. Would like to first mention how I very much enjoyed my purchasing experience with all employees at the store location mentioned in the title of this email. I was advised during the purchase of my glasses that i would need to bring in the physical coupon (Sun Perks Member Exclusive coupon) to receive the benefit $50 off any purchase over $200 etc. Denise the manager along with the Security Guard and another team member advised that i would need to come into the store after the purchase, bring my coupon, receipt, ID and CC i purchased the glasses with and i would be rebated the amount. Totally fine i completely understood and went about my purchase of Versace Sunglasses. I returned 5 days later with all the items that were requested of me and asked Vanessa if she would be so kind to assist me with my rebate. This is where i was deeply offended, embarrassed and harassed in front of other customers, the security guard and employees. Let me say again i had my driver's license, CC, receipt and coupon (please feel free to confirm with store colleagues and security guard). Vanessa refused to refund me because i didn't have the physical glasses with me!!! Vanessa told me she needed proof that i actually bought the glasses. PLEASE SEE ABOVE (i had my drivers license, CC, receipt and coupon) I asked to speak with the colleague who told me this was possible she mentioned to Vanessa that indeed Denise said it was OK and that we should refund him. Vanessa refused to listen to her team member, she began to waive her hands in my face (please view video footage incident happened 12pm 07/19/18), she continued to use a loud voice while other customers were shopping (creating a scene in the store) and told me i could not speak to anyone else cause she was the store manager. Well surely there would be someone else to talk to or she must report to someone. After she refused to help and insisted i come back for a 3rd time with the glasses she said her managers name was Tiffany. You can only imagine the humility i felt after purchasing $300 glasses feeling like i was trying to scam the store. I cannot possible imagine this is the level of service you expect from your team leaders. i would hope that by reading this that Vanessa will be disciplined at some capacity. The incident occurred on Dec. 29th at around 11:06 am-12:00 pm. The incident was caused by a Caucasian lady with short blonde hair and a black hat. I believe she was the store manager. Incident: So I'm trying on glasses just like everyone else in the store. There are European tourists trying on sunglasses on in the store as well. I have my tray on the table behind the mirror. I'm going back forth between the mirror and the sunglasses I put in my tray. I look and see her grabbing one pair of glasses that I had on the counter and put them in a new tray. And I walked over and told her "I have a tray sitting on the table already" She proceeds to put my glasses in another tray and say that it doesn't matter if you can keep these in here.... So I was like Okay. That's fine. I didn't really think much of it. I continued trying on the 4 pairs of glasses. I'm narrowing down my options and I am in the bigger mirror away from the counter. She comes up to my tray again and tells me, "Can you be more careful with the sunglasses because we sell the ones that are on display." And she proceeds to take her cloth and clean each pair of sunglasses that were in my tray. My self-evaluation: I am putting down the glasses just like any customer would. Some of them were in my tray folded and some of them were open but I was walking around the story TRYING ON GLASSES. I was trying to get my sister's opinion on facetime as well as getting one of the associate opinion on the glasses. I was not damaging the frames in any kind of way I was placing them down just like every person in that story. She also definitely did not say that to the European tourists who were walking around the store and trying glasses. Conclusion: I don't know what she had against me, however, there was some type of prejudice/bias at the basis of her actions towards me vs everyone else in that store. I don't know if it was because I am African American or my age, even though I am a grown woman and I just look young or she thought I was trying to steal. I don't know but I know she directed her comments to me and not to any of the European tourists that were shopping in the store. I also work at an optical store, so I understand you want to watch the high-end designer brand glasses and you want to make sure everything on display looks good, however, I WOULD NEVER AND HAVE NEVER HEARD ANY ASSOCIATE SAY THAT TO ANY CUSTOMER. You are supposed to be giving the customer a positive experience. And customers will move all around the store trying on glasses in different mirrors, putting glasses down in their tray or other counters sometimes making a bit of mess, but that's what they supposed to do their shopping. read more

Surprisingly Awesome Experience Let me just preface this by saying that I don't typically bother to review retail stores, let alone chain ones. However, my experience with this store was so positive I felt I had to say something... I know Sunglass Huts don't have the greatest reputation, but I stopped in to try different brands and styles since sunglasses can be an especially fraught product to attempt to purchase online. I didn't go in the store planning to purchase, but rather just to look around. However, much to my surprise the staff in this store were especially friendly and helpful. When I told them approximately what I was looking for they turned me on to a couple brands I'd never heard of before and were very attentive, despite the fact I told them I was looking to stay in the more low end, less than $300 range. Furthermore, they didn't try to "up-sell" me. When I narrowed it down to two pairs of glasses I really liked, the employees encouraged me to buy the less expensive pair because they thought it fit my use-case and face better than the more expensive one. I came away very pleased with my experience and confident in my ultimate purchase decision. I know Sunglass Huts have somewhat of a markup, but in this case I feel like the experience and guidance I received was worth it. read more

He asked me how old i am and i told him i was 18 and he said yeah 18 and under can't be here unless you have a parent guardian. If i could give 0 stars i would've and they just kicked me out of the store as i stepped in. They are judge on people a lot based on the previous reviews. I walked into Sunglass Hut at 250 Stockton for the 1st time looking for a pair of Muai Jim's. I was dressed casually because it was right after work. As soon as I walked in there was this tall slender black guy, kinda young, dressed in a suit looking out the window. He obviously worked there but I received no hello, no smile, no nothing! He just looked at me like I didn't belong there. What an ugly feeling when you walk into a store for the 1st time to get that kind of treatment. Was it because I wasn't dressed nice enough, I'm Latino, I don't know but this guy doesn't belong out on the floor with customers I'll tell you that! So I walked around the store looking for their Muai Jim's and this young lady started helping me try on the glasses. She was very nice and helpful but unfortunately, I didn't get her name. She's young, a little stocky and looks Hispanic or Middle Eastern with long black hair. I wanted to buy the glasses from her and I would have but they only had the glasses I wanted out on the floor on display. I wanted my glasses to be brand new for that kind of price. She told me I could order them but it'll take a few days or I can try Macy's down the street. I bought my Breakwall Maui Jim's from Macy's but I really wanted to but them from her - oh well.
