Even then he was priced fair, helpful and shared knowledge and got me set up with what I needed. Now I bought my wife a Subaru forester and the trans went out. After price shopping I finally remember to reach out and luckily still had his number. He told me he started a shop and so it worked perfect, he was also the best price around. Not only did he fix the transmission but found other damage it caused and fixed that too. His work was quick, reasonably priced, and has held up well. STOP and think before coming here!!!! I came here for an alignment after getting new tires on my car, it's been a few months and the alignment completely destroyed my front two tires. I couldn't even get a refund on my tires even though I had 6 months warranty because of the horrible alignment job that was done here. When I spoke to Manuel the owner of this place he was completely unapologetic and refused to take a look at my car and tires. He said once my car left his work place he was not liable for any damages. HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE!! Now I have to buy two new tires and pay for another alignment. I bring my car here for oil changes and any tire related problems as well as tire rotations. The guys are always so friendly and their prices are always beyond reasonable. I don't feel like I'm getting ripped off and they only make recommendations when it's truly necessary. TIP: they are pretty busy first thing in the morning so if you can leave your car for a few hours to get serviced, you will be in good hands. I want to start with this: Sunland Performance is the BEST. The people are absolutely wonderful and helpful. Now for the longer story. My tire was getting low and I decided to try and fill it at the gas station after getting some gas. The machine said out of order, but before I could leave the employee came over and said they just had it off because it had low pressure, but if I waited he would fill it for no charge. He starts trying to fill it and says it's not working but he doesn't stop trying until he has completely deflated my tire. He brings his on site mechanic over who without actually looking at it says my tire valve is cracked which is why it didn't work, that it wasn't their problem, and that it was 'no big deal.' I now have a car I can't move because of a flat tire. They direct me next door to Sunland Performance. I head over and speak to Manuel. He couldn't believe what they had told me and then said he would send a guy over to help me. Alphonso ended up arriving and within about ten minutes the tire was off, the shop took a look at it, filled it and Alphonso was back getting the tire on for me. He even said he had checked it out and there was NOTHING WRONG WITH MY TIRE VALVE. After being incredibly frustrated and angry with the lack of work ethic from the gas station that caused the problem in the first place, Manuel and Alphonso over at Sunland Performance were exactly the breath of fresh air I needed. Found out they also do oil changes and all I can say is they've definitely earned my returning business! read more

Let me tell you this even I left the city I still go here to have my carS services they are very knowledgeable esp Arturo since he used to work for the big luxury car companies. Manuel is like a family for your Hispanic side always happy when you talk to him. They are very knowledgeable and will give you the best prices that no shop can beat. I should know coz I used to bring my cars at places that would've charged me twice or triple of the amount. I got a flat on the 210 freeway so I got off the Sunland off ramp to what I thought was my salvation. I pulled into Sunland performance tires. A very nice technician tried to assist me with putting air in my tire but he couldn't because it was completely blown out. The tech asked me if I had the spare in the trunk and I said yes. He told me he could help me fix it but that he had to ask his boss first. His boss told him not to help me. Apparently it's a tire shop but they don't install tires. Go figure. How can the owner of this business be such a horrible human being. Not willing to assist a woman in need already shaken up from the ordeal of getting a flat in the middle of the freeway. This really says a lot about this man's character. How can anyone be in the business of selling tires and dealing with the public when you can't assist a stranded individual in need of immediate assistance. Would taking 15-20 minutes to help me with my flat really take away from his business? I think not. Besides I was willing to pay him a fee for the service performed. I would have probably also recommend his business to friends and acquaintances. I would be very careful with dealing with a callous individual like this. If this is how he treats people/customers I would not want to have anything to do with him or his business. He is lucky they don't have anything lower than one star because he would've gotten a worse review. I took my care for tire repair due to a nail, and they repaired it quickly. A few weeks later it showd that there was a leak. When I tried to have them check it they said they were too busy. Good thing I took my care elsewhere, they had dug a whole in my tire and buffed the inside to the wires. They didn't even inform me or warm me about the potential hazard! This place is a COMPLETE RIP OFF. I needed a new tire and they wanted to charge me 120 for a new tire. I said no way I'm gonna pay that much and I took it to another place in north Hollywood who only charged me 65 dollars for a brand new basic tire. The mechanic did not know what he was doing. Are they real mechanics? He charged me 400 cash for a shock absover told me it was new. I had to take the car back twice more because it keep on hitting the asphalt. Finally took it to another place down the road they told me the absovers were not installed correctly. Have to pay again for the same job. Sunland mechanic refused to refund me any part of the charge....I will never go there again...would not recomendef the place. They ate a rip off. read more

Worst place to take your car. I have two Cadillacs with major engine oil leaks, we made a deal to fix both of them for a certain price. Took my first car in they called me three days later said it needed some motor mounts and also told me that the original quote for the engine leak was going to be $250 more than quoted. I agreed and said sure do the work, they gave me my car back in about two from dropping it off with a new price of $1100 when originally should of been $450 plus parts. Took my second car in and said just do the same thing that was done to the first one. They told me come back in a week to pick up your car. I call a week later to see if my car was ready just so I could have a ride there. Arturo told me no its not ready I will call you when it done I said fine. Two and a half weeks later I called again and he said they have been really busy and haven't had time to get to my car since I was getting a discount, I guess my car wasn't that important to them. To make things short about four from when I dropped off my second car I was called to go see my car because some how my car now had other issues and the engine oil leak was not from where originally thought and my rack and pinion was now leaking too (but when I originally dropped it off it was not leaking). Also by this time my first Cadillac was again leaking oil he looked under the car and said it was not from what he done to it. My question is if your the mechanic and you pull out an engine wouldn't you notice everywhere its leaking oil from. So they fix my rack and pinion because at this point after 4 weeks I refuse to have them continue to work on my engine. When I picked up my car the steering wheel was so out of wack it was pulling left. I immediately took it back the owner told me (oh like the white people say sorry my friend) at that my blood was boiling as this was no time to make jokes but he said he would have it ready the next day by 10am let just say he did not call me until 4:35 and ask me if I was picking up my. I am totally not happy with this shop as I believe they were driving my car around the whole time they had it. I looked under the hood and it does not look like the motor was removed at all, because some parts that I know should of been removed are still covered in dust. I also have other evidence. I will be contacting a consumer law attorney about this matter. read more
