Tik tok made me do it and I'm so glad they did. I visited Sunlife after seeing a video featuring their most recent Glow Recipe collab. They are one of few smoothie shops open at 7am on a Sunday but as they're right next to Studio three it completely makes sense and is a very wise business decision. It allows the gym patrons and locals a better for you food option in the morning. The space is very inviting with lots of natural light. There are plants and cool nick nacks all around. They have easy grab and go drink from brands you may already be familiar with and they have their speciality options. They have a pretty extensive menu ranging from bites, bowls, lattes and smoothies. We ordered the Glow recipe watermelon smoothie ($21) and the Joshua tree latte ($7) Both were delicious. The smoothie was my favorite. Very creamy and flavorful. I believe it even had collagen in it. My latte was good. The date syrup was a little sweet for me. Next time I'll tell them easy syrup. Overall I'm excited to visit again and explore more of the menu. It's very obvious they take price in quality and freshness. read more

I tried the location in West Loop, Chicago. I was really impressed withe the decor, vibes, and customer service! The baristas are very friendly! I ordered an oat milk latte with date syrup. The latte was 7.5/10, especially for the price. The date syrup does not dissolve and has a salty taste to it. I would like to try other syrups in my coffee next time. read more

Delicious, refreshing smoothie. I tried the pink cloud and throughly enjoyed it on a hot summer day. They have a large menu of smoothies, protein shakes, juices, caffeinated beverages, and a couple food items. Definitely on the pricy side!! SunLife also has merch and a grab and go market of items. While we were closing out the cashier seemed really sweet but then when closing us out screamed at us asking "ANYTHJNG ELSE?!" in a very aggressive way. Second time back and I'm glad I stopped in. Was feeling a mid morning açaí bowl and decided on the Hawaiian Bowl and boy am I glad I did. I just beat the morning rush so I did not have to wait that long. The inside is very bright and vibrant with plenty of seating. Service was exceptional and I was able to substitute an item with no problem. First bite I knew I was going to like it. Fresh strawberries along with banana slices and coconut. The apple juice and açaí combo added just enough tartness to the bowl. Many different bowls to try! I will definitely be back to try another bowl! read more

SunLife is a smoothie shop that recently opened in the West Loop. The interior is super cute, lots of crystals and plants. The workers were super friendly! SunLife had a huge menu, with vegan options for milk and protein, and everything is customizable. I had the matcha goddess which I loved. I hate bananas and was happy to see they had options without bananas! This is a holistic health type place, and it's in the West Loop so the prices are not surprising. I got lucky that there was no line when I ordered. I've worked at a smoothie shop before, and I know you can only make smoothies so fast, especially when every person wants to customize the smoothie in some way. It seems like if you're going to come at a busy time, maybe order ahead and give it some time to be made! read more

I love how airy and bright this place is! I've been on a smoothie kick so stopped in to try it out. I got the Pink Cloud which wasn't too bad - it tasted better with each sip. As for the fresh pressed juice, I got the Pink Goddess which was super sour. I was looking forward to this one but it was a bit disappointing. The wait is super long as there seems to only be 1 worker, so I would recommend ordering ahead on the website. There's also no Wifi as it's a space that encourages face to face conversations. A little bummed as a former Malibu resident (original location of SunLife Organics). I was very excited to hear that SunLife Organics opened a location in Chicago. I was missing my California home and had great memories of going to SunLife on Saturday mornings. My friend and I had acai bowls that came out to ~$21 each with tip (Brazilian Bowl $14.95 + Cashew butter $3; Buddha Bowl $17.85). For this price, I was expecting a little bit more. The price has definitely risen since I visited the original location (which is partially expected with the general increase in food prices) but I was expecting something more comparable to what I had gotten at the Malibu location. I had added cashew butter which was $3 for 1 tbsp worth (see photo). Other locations I had visited are much more generous with this topping given the price. The quantity of fruit is much less than it used to be after looking back at my old photos of SunLife and compared to the images posted on their online menu. Very granola heavy compared to the blended acai. The store is nice, there's some seating inside as well as two tables outside. There are also some health foods/snacks and fun merchandise along the walls. Overall, this spot is nostalgic for me and the flavors are consistent with what I recall. I hope the issues with proper portioning, etc. are just due to the place being new and training. However, I think for a $15+ bowl, there should be something more substantial. As of now, coming from a long-time SunLife fan, it's just not worth the price for the current product. Hopefully will return in a couple months to see if anything has changed and update this review. It's not Erewhon, but I'll take it! It was such a nice occurrence to turn right and come face to face with SunLife's entrance. We ordered the Strawberry Matcha which had all the yummies and organic nutrients you would never have thought have-oat milk, coconut whip, ceremonial grade matcha, monk fruit, maple syrup and lots of fresh strawberries. While it is questionable why they use two sweeteners such as monk fruit and maple syrup, I'm glad the monk fruit aftertaste wasn't prevalent. The matcha taste was not evident, so after taking a few sips I was only able to taste coconut and strawberry flavors. I would recommend walking to Sawada Coffee where they are more specialized in matcha, and ordering smoothies or acai bowls here instead because that feels to be more of their differentiator! read more

Lol I can't say I'm surprised by the rating here, this is pretty spot on. I came on Saturday morning around 10:30 after a workout to get a protein smoothie. It's a cute place, bright colors and clean looking probably to distract you from the astronomical menu prices. I was aware prices were high as a friend told me how much she spent on her smoothie bowl a couple months back...but I was getting a smoothie so figured couldn't be that bad, right? Wrong...whoops! Also the line when I came in had like 3 people ahead of me, but as I looked around a bunch of patrons were sitting around with no food or drink which should have tipped me off that the wait would be a whole. I finally ordered my basic vanilla protein smoothie with almond butter, paid my almost $17 dollars (nuts), and waited and waited. 15 mins later I was still waiting, and at this point was late to meet someone. I asked how much longer my smoothie would take and no joke was told about 10-15 more minutes. Never have I waited 30 minutes for a smoothie. They had 3 employees which clearly was not enough. They probably should have paused online orders because I also saw multiple Uber eats/ DoorDash etc drivers come in looking for pick up orders that were not ready. I def won't be spending my $ or time here. I'll just make my own smoothie or spend $11 at PureGreen a couple blocks away. read more

I have ordered a few times from Sunlife and I like what I've had so far. I haven't found as many options at other smoothie spots. Smoothies and bowls are more expensive here but you get ingredients which you won't find at cheaper places. I read the list of ingredients to try and get a sense of how sweet a smoothie will be. The yogi has a sour flavor but I saw plenty of options with classic smoothie sweeteners like dates, banana and honey if you have more of a sweet tooth. Don't just let the price put you off. You gotta pay for quality and as far as I can tell you get what you pay for here. read more

I came on Saturday afternoon. The store was pretty quiet with no music no customer. It does have very cool sculpture and crystals. I guess the owner really believes in some sort of spiritual thing. This was my first time so I tried one smoothie that employee claimed "very popular" - the yogi. The smoothie had bright green grassy color and it tasted grassy as well along with strong sourness which threw me off. It was so tough to drink it that I eventually had to throw it away. Would I pay $15 for it again? No. But almost all of their smoothies have banana and nut butter which make them high fat and high calories. I probably will opt out for other smoothie shops. read more

uhhh... got the signature coconut smoothie, which costed me almost $18. I was having a very high expectation cause the money spent. However, I was very disappointed after tried the drink. Best smoothie I've ever had! Perfect flavor and consistency. Prices are maybe on the higher side, but the people complaining about that will finish their sentence with "for a smoothie". These smoothies are packed with the nutrients of a meal, so the prices really aren't that crazy when you think about it like that. You get what you pay for and I'm willing to pay a premium for the high quality ingredients you get. $15-$25 for a meal is pretty normal. If you were to buy all the individual ingredients in these smoothies yourself, sure you could make more smoothies, but it would cost you hundreds of dollars for all the individual ingredients. I was around the place and a quick bite, so I came here and first time walking in it was very chill, had a nice vibe to it and was greeted at the door.
