The butter chicken is so delicious, the Tandoori chicken is even better! The potato pancakes are the best in our area. The samosas omg sinfully delicious! The price is a little high for a family of 5 to eat it was a little over $108. I would have given it 5 stars but the women who works there is so incredibly rude.... The restaurant is under new ownership now. Similar menu. Similar recipes. I had the tandoori chicken wings [Chewy!], lamb biryani, vegie pakora, naan, and chai tea. Comfort food! My order came to $40 and it was enough for 4 meals. I miss the buffet for more variety. Hopefully they will start it up again soon. read more

The service here is always welcoming and friendly. The menu has alot of good choices from appetizers entrees and deserts. We love the food here it's really good we normally order butter chicken, curry chicken but the biryani chicken is always my favorite. Veggie samosas are the perfect appetizers to wait for our food but can't forget the naan we like the plain and garlic naan but tonight we also tried the aloo kulcha naan and that's my new favorite now. A lot of seating and looks like a new bar too which is really nice well idk if it's new as normally we order our food for take out or just come to pick up our party trays but I highly recommend this place try it out. read more

came out here to get indian food from the bay and it was soo worth it!! the malai kofta was so good the spice level was perfect, i also tried the butter chicken and the chicken was so tender and soft and the gravy was so flavorful!! the garlic naan was delicious as well, soft and the level of pull-apart ease was perfect. Let me just say this place really hit the spot. The butter chicken was very flavorful, not too spicy with heaps of chicken in the bowl. The veggie samosas had plenty of potato in them and were freshly fried. The basmati rice was freshly made, the garlic naan toasted perfectly. This was one of the first restaurants I ordered delivery from when I moved to Modesto. The rice and naan were delicious, but the saag paneer tasted like French onion soup and the lamb kebabs tasted exactly like pork sausage, which really put everyone off. We tossed most of the food because nobody enjoyed eating it. I did not leave a review because I thought maybe it was a one-off problem, but that non-kosher kebab made me too nervous to order again in a hurry. I do not eat pork but can recognize the flavor. About a year later now, I finally tried them again because their prices are so reasonable and they are not too far from where I live. Again, the rice and naan were very tasty, but this time my saag paneer tasted like pickles! I like pickles, but this was way too sour for a whole dish, especially a dish that does not usually contain vinegar, other than maybe a hint of it from making the paneer. It makes me wonder if they just keep reusing the same dirty pans to make different dishes or if they dump old leftover food into the new dishes, hoping nobody notices the difference. The lamb tikka masala also tasted off. Not sure what the flavor was, but my partner refused to eat it, so it sat in the refrigerator until we had to toss it. I am a huge fan of Indian food; it is my favorite cuisine, so I do eat it often. I am usually happy even with the cheapest low-end Indian restaurants' food, and my stomach tolerates it well. This place was a miss twice, and not a small miss, but a serious problem with their ability to make what was ordered. Really bummed out that this place couldn't pull it off. read more

It was a DoorDash delivery; they sent off 2 mixed grills with only 1/4 types of meats. Missing were the shrimp, the tandoori chicken, and the chicken tikkas from both orders. I was entertaining business colleagues and thus very embarrassed. The owner came on the phone and actually tried to say the door dasher must have eaten out of the boxes. lol. I even told the owner I'm one of his most loyal customers. His answer, " I don't have a delivery person; "order again on Door Dash." No apology. No " we will fix this the next time." The tandoori chicken with onions was wonderful. Ordered both garlic and regular naan. Also ordered veggie samosas, aloo matar, aloo tikki chaat and lots of rice. Food is absolute bang for the buck, channa masal being one of the best I had in US. Such a great variety of authentic indian cuisine with awesome ambience makes this very hard to skip.
