Absolutely do not come here for any color or other "big" hair experience. There is a slight language barrier, which is fine...because of this, I went in and explained to LE(the owner)in person what a needed(gray touch up, highlights and a trim). She made notes and scheduled my appt. I went back in person the next day to change my appt. to Sat.(today) and Lee was not in and I was asked to call her the next day to change my appt. day, which I did and she said "she had an opening at 10 and 1", so I thought we were good to go. My kids have been getting their haircut with Lee for a few years, so she knows us and I was pretty good about giving her a try for my hair color needs. I arrive today at 10, sat down to get started and Le says she did not know I needed color and highlights and did not have time to do my hair. I just don't get it! The weird part is, Lee was surprised that I was upset. Really? I have an event tonight and I now have no one to do my hair, I'm pretty sure no one would be happy. The salon is old and pretty run down inside, but always busy when I drive by. I only decided to come here today because it is close to my house and I was short on time. I guess I know now why you only see old grandma's going in here to get perms! You don't do this to your customers, and expect them to be "ok" with it! This is such poor customer service!!! I feel very let down and it looks like from other reviews that the service has gone down hill! I definitely will not be back here for any of our hair care needs! read more

I was the 4th customer to come yo their shop. Have been going to sunny Cuts since I was In my 30's, I am now 74. I took my granddaughter in the other day and Tony cut her hair. Her friends have been asking who did it, and wanting shops number. I totally love Le, Toni and Kim. They are the best stylists around. They are so kind, pleasant end always so professional. First time visit on saturday. I live in this neighborhood but never knew this place. It seems hidden from the main road. Two vietnamese ladies were working. They are so friendly and humble! Hi! I come here to get my eyebrows (and apparently my lip now) waxed. They do a really good job here and its really affordable. For my eyebrows that resembled wooly mammoths and "light haired" lip it cost only $14 and they did a great job. It seems that they mostly have the older folks in here for hair cuts so if your looking for a fancy doo, I dont know if this would be the place. read more

Our family has been going to Le for more than 20 years. She has done mine, my husband's, my mother's, father's, etc... but I think that the real test is that of my 16 year old daughter. She has a thick lovely, wavy mane of hair and as is appropriate for a 16 year old young lady, she's very particular about hair cuts, color, etc... We moved to NC a long time ago, but whenever we visit we stop in to have Le and Kim do our hair, brows, etc... More than that, I want you to know that when my mother was terminally ill and unable to come in for service, that Le packed up her stuff and went to my mother to do her hair for her. It lifted my mother's spirits and eased her difficulties. It was a loving gift of time, talent and friendship that was cherished by my mother and by me. It's not that I suggest that Le goes to every invalid client's home, but it is to illustrate that she not only owns this friendly establishment, but truly cares about the clients that often become very long time friends. As another reviewer mentioned, Le is talented and quick. She gives a great cut and if you ever need it tweaked, just say so. She is always willing to listen and change course as necessary. While I often just walk in, she also takes appointments and if you want something like a perm and cut or cut and color, I think it's a good idea. So... If you are looking for a great deal and great service, give Le and her staff a try. read more

When a person makes an appointment, and has taken the time to be on time every single time, and has had to wait at least 15 minutes every time, it's time to move on. Have been coming for ages, but the service has been getting worse every time. Michelle makes appointments and changes it on a whim. No value for time or customers who have been coming here for a long time. I have seen them keep appointments with others but have always given us the run around. But it's been happening. So regularly now that it feels intentional. After having been such a loyal customer for such a long time, this seems really rude and arrogant on their end. read more

I like coming to this place! I had received a recommendation from someone I work with about this place, and I decided to try it out. The owner, Le is very talented when it comes to doing my curly hair. I have a lot of hair and she does it quickly and easily. Kim does my eyebrows and upper lip and does a great job. You can't beat the price either! I see families coming to this place for their haircuts. They must be doing something right. Le has owned this place for a long time. She and her staff do a great job! I have been going to Sunny Cuts for - gheez - a very long time. Many years ago, I went to a more 'designer-esque' salon, but the prices were horendous and the quality was not consistent. At Sunny Cuts - Toni and Kim make you feel so welcome and the hair cut, dyeing and pedicures are of exceptional quality at a very good value. More important, they have become friends; we love hearing about our adventures from the last time we visited. They went above and beyond for my elderly mother; very respectful and patient. I highly recommend them for the woman (and man) who are into quality and attentiveness, rather than designer (and pricey). read more

perfect place for senior ladies. I went in for a fill on my nails & the lady used pink filler instead of white. It was very noticeable. I paid extra for crappy nail art to hide it. Plus this place was very expensive. read more
