Had a great experience at Moon Nail Boutique! Me and my daughter walked in for a pedicure on Sunday afternoon. The owner greeted us and we got some free snacks. They also currently have Easter promotion where you draw an egg that contains prizes. The service was great and nails came out perfectly. Total bill came out to $65 for an adult basic pedicure and a child basic pedicure. Overall great experience and I would love to come back again in the future!

I moved from San Jose to San Diego over 15 years ago, and ever since, I have been searching for a nail salon that could truly help my nails grow strong and healthy while keeping the polish flawless without chipping or running after getting home. I spent so much money over the years, always tipping generously, yet still found myself returning to salons to fix broken nails or poor polish jobs, wasting precious hours I simply don't have. Then, during a recent trip back to San Jose, I discovered Moon Nail Boutique, and I immediately realized my search was finally over. From the moment you walk in, you can feel the difference. The boutique is exceptionally clean, beautifully organized, and thoughtfully designed with a peaceful, calming atmosphere , completely unlike the loud and rushed environment of many typical nail salons. It truly feels like a one-of-a-kind experience. Most importantly, the quality and care are unmatched. My nails have never looked or felt healthier, and the colors stay beautiful long after leaving the salon. Their attention to detail, professionalism, and artistry genuinely deserve admiration. I now plan to do my nails here every time I travel up north, which is quite often. Highly, highly recommend, and I do not give recommendations lightly.

I've visited twice and had a wonderful experience both times. The nail technicians are friendly, professional, and attentive. This time, I had my dip nails removed and chose a natural gel manicure, which turned out beautifully. Highly recommend this hidden gem!

From the moment we walked in we were greeted with a snack and some waters. I came in for a basic pedicure and was suggested I get the luxury since I wanted to get the paraffin add on. Glad I took their suggestion as it was so worth the relaxing experience! This is definitely the place to come to if you want a relaxing quality experience. It has been months since my last mani/pedi because of the birth of my son, so I was in desperate need I did a walk in around 4pm and the wait wasn't long at all. The place is clean, neat and cute! The ladies were friendly and welcoming. My pedicure was of the highest quality and even 2 weeks later, my nails still look great. The polish hasn't chipped and still looks fresh. After confirming what services I wanted (gel manicure and Refresh pedicure), I was shown gel colors along the wall to choose from. Feeling like something different today, I opted to get catseye gel polish. After picking my color, my nail technician started my manicure. She asked me what shape I wanted and there was a handy sheet that showed the different shapes - I opted for my regular square with rounded edges. She cut, filed and shaped them - but they weren't exactly the shape I wanted. It was close enough, so I just went with it. My nails turned out okay - the catseye color was pretty and I liked the look of it. The massage was good. However, the shape and application of polish needed some work. Overall - it just felt rushed. I was then shown to my pedicure station and someone else worked on my toes. The pedicure went fine, the colors chosen were pretty and everything went okay. Again, I enjoyed the massage and was able to relax. However, at the end, I was left at the station and my technician walked away. I assumed I was to wait for a while while my nails dried since I got regular polish on my toes. This would have been fine, but my technician never came back to check on my toes or tell me when I could leave. After half an hour, I checked my toes and tried to make eye contact so she could come back. After another 10 mins of sitting and trying to get her attention, she came back and I asked if I was good to leave. Overall, the 1st nail technician and owner(?) was welcoming when I came in. I liked the color that I got on my nails, but would prefer a different shape and a thinner application of polish. It ended up lifting within a week and peeling off after a week and a half. 2nd technician who did my toes was efficient, but I would have liked some communication about how long to wait and coming back to check on my toes. I will go back and try one more time as my friends highly recommend one of the technicians.

Well...just a week ago I've been noticing pain in my big toe. Itchiness at the border and pain and tingling on my big toe penetrating into my foot and ankle. I felt the need to see the doctor and he questioned if the technician cut at an angle causing an ingrown toenail or pushed too harshly. I am now doing Epsom salt soaks and prescribed an antibiotic, bactrim. It is difficult to find a nail salon where you feel safe in and I thought I found the place. The blood on the towel was enough of a red flag for me to question their cleanliness especially when blood borne pathogens are transmissible in a nail salon. No one wants to get a disease in exchange for pretty nails or a nail infection. Now with this constant nail pain I will not return and cannot recommend this salon anymore. :(

To make things worse, the techs needed to move on to their next appointment before I was actually happy with my nails, which made the experience feel even more rushed. There was no chance to slow down, talk through options, or really feel cared for. It was far from a spa like experience. I ended up walking out with squared French tips with silver nail polish, which was far from the inspiration pics I showed them. My cuticles were also cut too deep on both my hands and my feet. I paid more to get my nails redone at another salon because of how unhappy I was with how far off my nails were compared to my inspo pics.

I cannot get over how amazing these women are. Absolutely amazing service. I was hospitalized on Wednesday night and was out Thursday. By su day I was feeling much better and decided to have some me time and try and relax. I still had a bit of pain but was overall feeling much better. It was the best service I have had in years. Everyone there was so attentive and kept checking on me to make sure I was comfortable and they were even worried about me driving myself i honestly got to my car and shed a tear because nobody ever had cared so much for me even though I was just a stranger. Michelle did my pedicure and was awesome and very caring and observant and made sure I was comfortable.
