    Small soft serve twist
    Margaret H.

We stopped in after dinner while in the area. It was fairly crowded but efficient! I have an egg allergy and was able to eat their soft serve safely. Not crazy exciting but decent ice cream!

Had the coffee ice cream sundae with Oreos and hot fudge, which was creamy and good. Very nice ambiance on a summer day, went at around 8pm and was still pretty busy.

Huge ice cream and gelato selection. Everything was absolutely delicious. Very creamy gelatos. The staff was friendly and patient with us as well as other customers who took a bit longer to decide. Great atmosphere with some outside seating as well!

disclaimer: the following review was written by two college girls who take their ice cream very seriously!!!! if you like incredibly detailed ice cream reviews then read on: sunny dae's ice cream: * location: not super cute place, but easily accessible. easy to find as well, since it is on the main road. also has a lot of outdoor seating * aesthetic: love the logo! the inside was very retro, it gave us 90s vibes. they also had some cool decorations. * quality: good, it doesn't taste like grocery store ice cream, but was kind of freezer burnt. it's not bad for a small shop. (do they make their ice cream?) * menu: not easily found and read. there were a lot of flavors, but we didn't get a chance to see them all. some of them looked interesting, but nothing crazy. we did LOVE the chocolate brownie flavor. * price: not great. it's kind of expensive for ice cream that isn't really worth it. the cups serving was more generous than the cone. erin got more in a small cup than kayla did in a medium cone. total score: 7/10, adjusted for yelp to 3.5/5

Absolutely fantastic place. What a way to end my week! Milkshakes were delicious and thick, along with quick, friendly, service. Very clean and convenient place. Highly recommend!!

This "large" gelato will set you back $6.75

I will preface this by saying, men are stupid. My boyfriend and I walked in and the place smelled like disinfectant. My boyfriend kept saying he wanted gelato. He wanted nothing to do with 16 handles down the street. Ok buddy. "Large" gelato? $6.75 I went down the street to 16 handles and he ended up filling up a cup and admitting his stupidity. He ended up paying the same amount but with toppings and different flavors. The gelato wasn't terrible, it was just ok, but at the price they charge it should be outstanding.

Small vanilla milkshake $5 (hard ice cream)

This place is good. They are always open even during the winter. I'm pretty sure they are open until about 11 so getting a late night ice cream is easy. The store itself is usually very clean and the employees are pretty nice. I don't order crazy ice creams or crazy flavors so I'm not sure how their selection varies but, everything looks delicious. I always get a small vanilla milkshake ($5.00) which i find to be a little expensive but, I get hard ice cream as opposed to soft serve. The ice cream is good but, $5 for plain ice cream without toppings or anything else is a little pricy. The small is a decent size though so at least you don't feel totally ripped off. All and all I enjoy the quality of their ice cream (super duper creamy) Service is usually pretty fast. Unless you order something complicated.

Best ice cream option on Rt 1 now that Gofer has long since closed. Flavors are ok but toppings are great - including marshmallow.

Love how he gives college kids (or high school) the opportunity to work. That's so awesome. Who doesn't want to support giving back and building community? Love coming here when in Black Rock. Re: other reviewer who lived in Black Rock but didn't know it existed and thought it was unclean. First of all, what bots don't notice their surroundings? Sadly, a lot of people these days which kinda makes me moderately ok with the control system. If you're a fool, control is a positive thing. Secondly, yes, Timothy's is funky and old and mismatched and whatever. Who cares?! Dumb Milkcraft is sparkling clean and that's not a place I'm likely to return to ever again. You go to Timothy's for good old fashioned ice cream - not the pristine surroundings - and I personally appreciate the funky. The reviewer best not go to several Black Rock food places that have felines roaming inside (adding to their funky charm). :-). Oh my!

Freezing moo has tons of flavor combinations which can be a bit daunting at first. We got the chocolate cherry and green tea lychee which were both delicious. The staff here is very friendly and pay attention to the customers and are willing to explain this unique ice cream process for people trying this for the first time.
