The lobby is big and full of things to keep the children busy, while the front office staff is friendly both on the phone and in person. My kiddo got a routine check up and ended up having to come back for some fillings. The procedure went smoothly. She could lay back n watch a movie while they fixed her teeth. They were very attentive when she would get uncomfortable. They let me stand by but my kiddo isn't one to exaggerate just cuz I'm around. And I made sure to stay out of there way. If your kiddo does better when ur out of sight they have a seating area where u can watch from outside a small window with a comfy seating area. So impressed with this office! I called them in a bit of a panic on a Friday morning, as we noticed an abscess on my 3 year olds gums the night before. Our other dental office was closed, and the backup number they listed was also closed on Fridays...not cool. Sunny Hills told me that they were pretty booked for the day, but if I could text them a picture they would show it to the Dr. They called me back about 5 mins later and were able to squeeze her in an hour later!! They walked me through what likely happened to her baby tooth from an injury she had a year prior, did her cleaning and offered next steps. Usually with something major like getting a tooth pulled I would have wanted to consult with her other dentist, but this office was so amazing and made me feel so comfortable with everything, they are going to be our place from now on! I even called back this week and moved my son over to them from the other place as well. Amazing staff, super bright and clean office, and a balloon walkout (highlight of my daughters day) make this a great place! So happy that this little tooth incident led us to Sunny Hills! read more

We just took our son for his very first appointment and it went well! Of course he was scared and cried a little but the nurses were so gentle, sweet and very professional. He received a balloon with a dental care package attached to it. The office is very clean and comfortable for children of all ages and the parents. There's a separate "theater" type room for the kids and it's the cutest. Along with a regular "adult" sitting area. I have been taking my kids to Sunny hills for at least 15 years now. My oldest is in college and they've seen her through a number of unusual dental issues that required several surgeries. I think she's technically aged out of pediatric dentistry... but I'm bummed to have her graduate from here because they've always been so great! We went today (12.8.2020) and all of their procedures for covid are first rate. Ellie made us feel very comfortable to the point that we almost forgot that we're in the middle of a pandemic. We've been with them for 6+ years, since Dr. Fairchild took over the practice with her original orthodontist partner. Dr. Fairchild and the business manager are both great people. She is a caring, careful professional. And, the business team has worked with us through insurance changes, orthodontics, and even making payment arrangements. We're sad to see the orthodontics go; but, we're going back for the dental care. Watch your wallet! My daughter had to have her first filling and was stressed out, so I paid more than $100 out of pocket dollars for the nitrous oxide plus the filling cost. I later received a bill stating I had not paid enough. We went back and forth and there was an insurance issue that they had not checked so I paid even more money, with the assurance that next time they would check insurance coverages more thoroughly before any work was done. 6 months later, normal check up. Do I want to do x-rays? I said no as they are not covered more than once a year and I don't have the money right now. Three times we went back and forth confirming that the x-rays are covered by insurance, so I agreed. When we checked out, there was a $33 charge for the x-rays. Apparently, the insurance covers some x-rays, but the tech used non-covered x-rays. Really? WTHeck? We are in a tight bind and I would have been fine with the covered x-rays or waiting til I could afford the others if they were even necessary.. If I was not so abundantly clear as to our financial state, our previous experience and asked a point blank question (based on prior experience) I would not be as upset. I liked the dentist and the staff, but I feel duped and will be moving to someone more transparent. read more

I have always taken both of my daughters (5 years old & 2 years old) to Sunny Hills Pediatric Dentistry. We have always received such amazing loving care from them. My two little ones get just as excited to go to the dentist as they do to go to the park. It's a very clean, follows covid protocol, and we are always greeted with warm welcoming smiles. We just went today, and my girls had so much fun with Jena and Dr.A. They didn't want to leave. And being helped out to easily schedule another appointment and that fits my schedule by Haleigh was the icing on the cake. After a few bad experiences at other places I tried this place out because a friend highly recommended it. We now LOVE Sunny Hills! All the staff are so genuinely nice and great with kids. They explained procedures well to both me and the kids, and their prices seemed very reasonable. The doctor offered up some acceptable alternatives to general anesthesia, and I felt like she was very knowledgeable and compassionate. I also loved that they had toys in the exam rooms, which were colorful and entertaining. We spent 1.5 hrs here and the kids did not whine once about being bored. The whole Team is very loving and caring. My sons first visit here went great, they explain step by step what they are doing. I was more nervous then my 4 year old. After taking x rays and the teeth cleaning, we went over the treatment, since he had cavities! Today we went in, where my son had to have a mild sedation and got some laughing gas. It was the first dental appointment for my girls (3 1/2 and almost 2). I thought it would be a complete nightmare. I'm happy to say that I was 100% wrong. From the time we arrived, the staff was friendly and helpful, and my girls were completely at ease. They are generally very apprehensive with new faces, but they were as cooperative as I've ever seen them! The exams were painless and the atmosphere was awesome. My husband and I grew up in the koolaid generation when the only candy our parents didn't let us eat was stuff that could hold needles and I'm pretty sure I never flossed or used mouthwash until my 20's. My first cavity came in my 30's my husband hasn't had any yet. So we have really been floored that our 6 year old daughter has needed tons of dental work done. We started brushing her teeth at age 2, limit sweets and juice and she still doesn't drink soda at age 8. We decided not to take any chances with our son and brought him to Sunny Hills right before turning 3. He's barely had some teeth for a year at this point so we thought we were ahead of the game. Not so, they found 5 cavities. Because he was barely 3, opening his mouth for x-rays, cleaning or an exam was not something he was interested in. Dr. Fairchild explained the only way to treat cavities in younger kids who won't open their mouths is to put them under general anesthesia. I got a second opinion with the dentist my daughter was seeing and hemmed and hawed over scheduling the procedure for months. As parents with super healthy kids that have never been hospitalized putting our son under was terrifying and spending a small fortune on baby teeth (again after our daughter) was a hard thing to just jump into. I had many conversations and emails with Whitney about insurance options and she was great and patient. Dr Fairchild called me personally to talk through general anesthesia and the procedure which helped tremendously. The anesthesiologist they use, Dr. Williams, comes to their office which, while still expensive and not covered by most insurance, is more affordable than going to a hospital as some dentists do. His office called me, as well, to discuss everything before hand. Everyone at Sunny Hill and on Dr. Williams team was great with my son on the "Great day of cavity filling" and I even thought to myself, I don't mind (as much) giving money to this well deserving team of supportive people who seemed genuinely happy and good at their jobs. Not so much with our daughters previous dentist, where I was starting to feel like we were really paying for bags of chotskies, irritable staff and generally high overhead. read more

Incredible customer service from the moment I made the first appointment for my daughter. The staff here has been so accommodating and helpful. Extremely clean office and waiting rooms. A+. The medical staff is highly skilled and educated and really takes a personal and caring approach to each patient. As a parent I can go with my daughter into her appointment or sit in the waiting room. The waiting room is divided into 3 nicely and calmly lit areas. The first part has a nice fish tank and lighting and it's a very calm atmosphere. The seating is very comfortable with nice leather chairs and sofa. The next section has a a flat screen, high def large tv with the volume low but enough to hear when you are in that room. It also has comfortable seating with baseball theme seating. Kids love that room. The third section of the waiting room has nice seating with nice traditional style furniture and lighting. The receptionist sees you the moment you come in and welcomes every patient immediately. The wait has never been more than 10 minutes--usually 5 minutes at the most. The medical staff seems to really care about each child and we have the same medical assistant every time we come so the children get to know them and they get to know the children. I've been so pleased with the office manager Brayden who takes a special interest in all the families and his calm demeanor sets the tone for the entire office staff. His follow-up is extraordinary. Follow-up is so important and so many places don't have it but Sunny Hill is exemplary with follow-up. Whitney, who handles the the billing and scheduling for the next appointment is so sweet and nice and she loves the kids. In addition to being sweet, she is ultra professional. She is excellent with making sure all school related notes get to the proper administrator when kids have to miss school for an appointment. She does a lot of the leg work and phone calls with insurance. Maggie has been my daughter's dentist's assistant. Incredible woman. Kind, thorough and cares. She communicates everything I need to know regarding my daughter's teeth. So pleased with all the doctors and staff. I highly recommend this group. read more

Where to begin, I feel this place is just about business, no concerns about patients are heard or even considered by the doctor. I called them to get an appointment for my daughter to get her teeth fixed and did mention that she has lot of cavities and specifically told them that I am not comfortable with general anesthesia. But when I went there I felt that the doctor was very strong believer of general anesthesia and finally refused to treat my daughter if general anesthesia is not given. I would not refer this place to anyone as the doctor was just right out rude and never listened to the concerns I had. read more

I took my son here when he was 6 months old for his very first dentist appointment. At the time he only had 2 teeth with 2 more making it's way in. I was somewhat nervous because he really doesn't like people, even me, poking around in his mouth. I made the appointment and thankfully the woman that set up the appointment was very kind and patient with me since this is my first go around as well. (PS they also take Medicaid CHIP!!!) When we arrived at our appointment I was very pleased with the waiting room set up. It's VERY child friendly and has different areas tp peak your child's interest. Our favorite was the fish tank. Veronica was our dental assistant, she walked us to our room and answered any silly questions I had. When Dr. Fairchild came in she took a look at his teeth and was even able to get him to open his mouth enough to brush them and put a little fluoride too! She walked me through the whole process to help ease my nerves and was very gentle with my little one. I made our next appointment and we'll be seeing her next month! We have our own family business so I am always looking for other family owned businesses to support. It's all about the billing and how much they can make at this dentist. My 8 year old son needed to have a tooth pulled and instead of pulling it, Dr. Fairchild put him through a full blown root canal and crowned his tooth and put in a metal spacer "to allow for the adult tooth to come through". We had to pay hundreds of dollars, even after my employer paid insurance kicked in their part. Three weeks later, my son complained of his gum irritating him, I called the dentist and he was seen again and low and behold the spacer was irritating his gum and had to be removed. We were charged again for removal of the spacer and I happily paid the bill/copay because I didn't want my son to be in any more pain. Then, at his six month check up (which was 5 months after they removed the spacer) I was told that the crown was not working and the tooth would need more work.. I am not exactly sure what kind of work because at this point, my lack of trust in Dr. Fairchild caused me to become very upset. Her treatment plans are obviously to make money and not for the benefit of her young patients. She should have pulled the baby tooth in the first place in order to cause him less pain and less dental treatments. He is now afraid of the dentist and I hope she bought her kids some nice Christmas gifts with the money she made off of my son's dental work. read more
