This trendy brunch spot is an absolute must-visit! The breakfast menu is fantastic, with a great variety of dishes that are both delicious and beautifully presented. And the cocktails? They're creative, refreshing, and perfectly complement the meal. Whether you're looking for a classic mimosa or something a bit more adventurous, you won't be disappointed! Love Everything! The owner Sam are always so sweet & kind to my family & I. We've been coming since grande opening & ended up coming on their 1year from Grande opening! Thank you Sam & Staff you guys are Amazing!

Sunny Classic, Amazing potatoes, super crispy! Environment is stylish and modern, great place for brunch and enjoying good food with family and friends! Parking is easy on the right hand side of the building. Don't forget to make your reservations!

I have been to Sunny Hyde Up a few times, and it is a great local brunch spot. Their brunch drinks are really good, and I appreciate the variety of breakfast options on the menu. It is an easy place to find something you are in the mood for. The reason for four stars instead of five is the service. Each time I have been, it has felt a bit slow. During our last visit, we would have ordered another round of drinks if our server had come by more frequently. Overall, I do really like this spot and will continue to come back. With a little more consistency in service, it would easily be a five star experience.

Sunny Hyde Up has great food and our waitress was really sweet and helpful! The music is great and upbeat and provides a modern touch. I really enjoy the tri tip and eggs and we always get the churro French toast to share. Thank you for being here from the J&R Meat Crew!

This place is very nice I am from Las Vegas so it definitely gives that vibe of a fun brunch, we came yesterday December 20th, 2025 and had reservations for 11:15am we arrived at 11:04am and checked in with the host the place was packed so we waited outside when some space inside finally opened up we took a seat we seen allot of guest walk in and didn't have reservations and were told a wait time many walked out, the hosts seemed a little overwhelmed and lost when it came to seating the guests we didn't get seated until closed to 11:30, they sat us next a door that was operable that guests could walk in and out of, imagine eating an people are are just walking in and out of a side door next to your table. We sat at the table for about 10 mins before a server came to us, I believe her name was Victoria she took our order and asked if we were ready to order food but we were not another few mins passes and received our drinks we ordered the Christmas tree of mimosas and it was $45 and they were good. She came back again and took our order, upon watching the dining room I could see they were very busy sections seemed a little large for the severs considering allot of them were not checking in on their tables. Everyone else got their food before me I ordered the chicken and waffles and received mine last significantly so past that everyone at the table was halfway through their food I had two different food runners tell me sorry yours should be coming soon, I have no problem waiting for something if you tell me that the item I'm ordering has a little more of a drag time but nobody did. The server never came around again until it was time to pay, we sat for awhile before she came by and we had to ask for the check and that took a while to bring as well, a manger or owner was walking around talking to some but not all tables and let's just say mine definitely wasn't one that was touched. The check was finally dropped and again we waited for her to pick it up, then another girl came and dropped the check off, as we were signing the check the server finally came back over and said thanks for coming by then it was too late you were barley talking with us engaging with us it was a very transactional experience. As someone who has managed many restaurants on the strip maybe my expectations were too high but interacting with your table isn't too much to ask for. Seems like they need smaller sections and updating resy on their turn times for reservations so it's not so overwhelming , the food is good and that's why this place is packed but the service is not good and with me the food can be outstanding but if the service is not then that creates a bad experience for me.

Amazing service. Sat at the bar for Easter. Max was an awesome mixologist creating amazing drinks that were off menu. Sat next to the owners parents who were super nice and even let me try their Chicharrónes and guacamole which was very tasty. If you love spice get the huevos rancheros. Definitely will be back. This place is such an amazing vibe. Loved the cocktail that max created for me it had carrot juice and gin in it---was the best cocktail I've ever tasted!!!

Opened in summer of 2025, Sunny Hyde Up is a great brunch/lunch spot. It's been open for a few months and it's still a little rough on operations. The interior is pretty nice and appealing for a local brunch. It has a pretty large dining room with quite a bit of space. We went in on a Friday morning and service was a little slow but there weren't many servers working at the time. Our server was very lovely. There was a bit of delay with service but it wasn't too long. The food was very delicious. The French toast was so delicious. The filling was rich and could have been great with a little less. The churros were crunchy and perfectly dusted is cinnamon sugar. The chilaquiles were cooked very nicely and the beef machaca had such a flavorful broth that was paired nicely with the pickled onions. Picked onions by the way were nicely crunchy rather than soggy old onions that other places may use. The portions are BIG, both my friend and I weren't able to finish our food!

I've visited SHU a couple times before (tried the stuffed chilaquiles & chicken & waffles before both very filling & good but had left overs) I will say the staff is very kind. I had the loaded breakfast burrito w/ chorizo, the picture is half the burrito, I was only able to eat half before getting stuffed, it was delicious! I had the left over the next morning & it was just as good. The cinnamon roll we expected to come out before, but it came out after which wasn't that big of a deal, but very delicious, we shared it among 3 of us. I loved it! We sat at the bar, the bartenders were very attentive even though they were quite busy. The place itself is very nice & bright. Would def go again & recommend to friends.

First I'll start by saying this place definitely gives you a Los Angeles feel here in Visalia. The restaurant is beautiful. Perfect for parties or special occasions. We came today for a causal breakfast. The Chilaquiles were 6/10. The Machaca was seasoned perfectly. The meat was amazing. My issue was the store bought salsa that was so running if you don't eat this fast you'll have soggy chips at the bottom. It ended up being more of a soggy soup. The chicken and waffles 9/10. We ordered them spicy and the macha salsa was perfect! The portion for the price was great too. Service was great. Seated fairly quickly, food came out quick also. I'll be back but we have better breakfast spots of food is the goal. If you're looking for a vibe and tipzy brunch this is the best spot in Visalia

My wife and I came here for a brunch date, and Sunny Hyde Up impressed us from the start. The restaurant feels clean, modern, and trendy, with a great vibe. The bar area is beautiful, and the place was packed with people clearly enjoying themselves. Despite being busy, the staff stayed on top of everything. We had a reservation, arrived a little early, and were seated right away. We started with coffees, which were surprisingly good for brewed restaurant coffee. For food, I ordered the chilaquiles and my wife had the salmon bagel with egg. We also split a pancake as an "appetizer." The chilaquiles were excellent -- warm, cheesy chips stacked with flavor and topped with a perfectly cooked egg. My wife's dish came with potatoes that were outstanding on their own. The salmon bagel was also solid. And that pancake? Light, fluffy, and full of flavor -- gone in minutes. Our ratings: * Ambience: 10/10 * Food: 10/10 * Service: 9/10 This is one of those restaurants where you can tell everything on the menu is going to be good. They put creative spins on both Mexican and American classics, and it works. Highly recommend for brunch, and I'm looking forward to coming back to explore more of the menu.

After looking at reviews on Yelp, my wife wanted to come here for her birthday with our adult kids. It is an hour a way, but so worth the drive. Glad we made reservations. Started with drinks. The Banana Bread Old Fashioned's were excellent! Also had the Carajillo which was equally impressive. Usually split breakfasts, not today. I got the spicy chicken and waffles and my wife got the Lobster Benedict. Both were great but not really finding lobster in the Benedict. Son had the chilaquiles and my daughter had breakfast tacos. Server brought a birthday cheesecake slice out. The place is modern and laid out well. We will have to come back!

Christmas Eve day my friend and I decided to try the new brunch place in town. I made reservations the day before on resy. We entered and were greeted right away with a short wait. We were seated in the large room on the west side of the building. A server came by and took our drink order. I ordered a $4.50 decaf coffee. Shortly after, she took our food order. I ordered a breakfast burrito for $18. My friend ordered some a la carte items. Then we waited. Others were seated around us. Waited some more. The restaurant was busy, but had empty tables so not slammed. About 45 minutes in, a couple near us who were seated AFTER us, got their food. I finished my coffee. Our server never told us what the wait was for or why and I couldn't find her so I flagged down another server. I explained people seated after us had their food. He went to find out. Still we waited with no explanation. About 55 minutes after arriving, we received our food. Our original server checked on us a couple of times after that. She did not ask if I wanted a refill or another coffee. I would have liked to have the coffee WITH my food but pay another $4.50? No. The food was okay, but nothing special for the cost. When the bill came, the tip guide on it suggested a 30% tip as a minimum. I felt that was a reach. Not impressed with food, value or service.

First time at SHU was one to remember! My wife had been several times and highly recommended, and she did not over hype. Ambiance and atmosphere are great, service was top tier (thanks Liz!!) and the food was incredible. This is definitely a spot to try, and one we will be enjoying again soon! Tri Tip and Eggs was fantastic!!

We also got a side of chips and salsa and two mini tacos, one with Al pastor and the other with barbacoa. The Asada tasted bad. The rest of the burrito was fine. The green sauce was great, pico and guac were fine. But the meat had this weird old tasting flavor to it. It even had a rancid smell to it after pulling a few pieces out to see what the problem was. I immediately had to stop eating it, the pieces were also fatty, tough and hard like a pebble. The chips also tasted old and stale, like store bought chips left out for a while. The Al Pastor was the highlight of the meal. The meat tasted charred, it was flavorful and well seasoned. I honestly should've grabbed a burrito with that meat instead. Barbacoa was just ok, nothing to write home about. A little more tough than what we've had from Chipotle. Not really seasoned. Overall, disappointed. Los Arbolitos was the spot to go to for a really good asada burrito. Unfortunately this doesn't seem like the case anymore. Was really hoping to find another local spot for our Mexican food cravings but I don't think it's going to be this one after all.

For 1 burrito and 1 taco with tip, came out to around $33. Don't do delivery from here. The Burrito was not very good. I tasted more beans than rice but even then, it was more of a soupy burrito with a tortilla that you had to rip at and hope each bite wouldn't undo the whole burrito. There was some kind of salsa inside it that wasn't apart of the description. It gave it an off flavor. Al Pastor taco was meh. The corn tortillas tasted homemade, which was nice. But the meat was stringy, kind of fatty and an off color almost a light orange. It tasted better than the asada but still wasn't very good. The server came by several times while we were still deciding, and when we finally told her we planned to split a burrito, she gave us an odd look and commented that it "might be a reasonable size to share." Shortly after, she returned to inform us that we had been given the wrong menus and that every item was actually $2.99 more than what we had been reviewing--something completely unprofessional and misleading. To make matters worse, when I asked about happy hour, she flat-out said they didn't have one, yet I later found multiple reviews online mentioning happy hour specials. That means she either didn't know or wasn't being honest. Between the dismissive service, the sudden price change, and the lack of transparency, we decided to walk out. This was a frustrating and disappointing experience, and I would strongly advise others to avoid this restaurant.

The portions have gotten noticeably smaller, however the prices continue to rise. What you are served is definitely not worth what Azul's charges you. This place used to be a regular go-to spot for myself when I am in Visalia, which is quite often. My sister & her husband were weekly regulars there & were (allegedly) friends with the owner. The last several times I've been there for a meal with my sister & BIL the owner has come over to say hello, but she has not seemed genuine or at all happy to see my sister & BIL. Instead, her "hellos" & the quick small talk that is expected of an owner greeting their regulars seemed incredibly forced & just completely inorganic. It was like she did not want us there, found it annoying that we were there, & did not appreciate our business at all. That made me feel very uncomfortable. The last time my family was there, it was my sister, mother, & their friend (a Visalia local) that were dining in. My mother picked up the check & paid by debit card & rounded up the just under $70 bill to $90 for the tip. When she looked at her bank statement a few days later, she discovered that the server had charged $100. My mom called my sister, who told her to call the owner & let her know what happened to make it right. They were trying to give the benefit of the doubt, but at the same time knew the chances of an experienced server mistaking a 2-digit total for a 3-digit total is highly unlikely. When my mother called the restaurant to speak to the owner, she kept my mother waiting on hold for the longest time. After the owner finally did come to the phone, she was very rude to my mom: didn't say hello or ask how she was. The owner completely dismissed the occurrence, saying that the server who ran the card was one of her best girls & longest employees & that there was no way that could have happened. The way she spoke to my mother, it was like she was trying to make my mother feel like it was her fault, & was making an issue out of nothing. My mom assured her that she had copies of the receipt with the correct total, to which the owner rudely said something like "okay, so what now? You want the $10 back?" completely dismissively. My mother tried to be polite--as this was a "friend" of my sister's & my sister & BIL were still at that point regulars--so she said the next time they came in to dine, they could discount that tab by $10. Obviously, that never happened. When my BIL found that out, he & my sister both decided they would no longer give their business to such a place. None of us have been back since. I do not recommend eating here. You will get mediocre food at an expensive price tag. Plus you will run the risk of dishonest servers over tipping themselves under the protection of an owner who clearly does not care & puts her customers down. If this was the experience of regular customers, I can only imagine how the non-regulars are treated...

We ordered the Marlin Empanadas- there is 4 to an order ($12). I wish I cut one so that you can see in the picture that it definitely is Marlin. Marlin is red flesh and I've fished in Cabo San Lucas and caught marlin and it's not the best flavored fish as it is dense and very oily. This definitely tasted like I remembered the last time I caught a marlin! Still this was good as I don't see marlin on the menu much so I usually order shrimp empanadas. It's located on North Sante Fe and away from most businesses so you don't know it's there or has re-opened like I did!! Quality is good and everything had good flavor!

I'm very disappointed with my recent experience on 6/29. During our lunch visit, I placed a to-go…read moreorder for an "El Limonero" (fish ceviche) tostada along with our dine-in meal. When we arrived at my family member's house in Shafter and opened the container, the entire lime juice had leaked into the bag, and what was left was basically just a tiny portion of cucumber and avocado--definitely not a complete order. How was this almost $20 ($15 + Svc fee) I immediately took a photo and called the restaurant. Our server, Adriana, asked me to text the picture to the # I was calling +1 (559) 830-4004 so the manager could approve a refund. I did exactly as instructed, and they did respond after reviewing picture and said they would issue refund... but despite following up multiple times, no one ever processed my refund or even responded. Considering how expensive the food is here (plus added service fees), it's really disappointing to be treated with such unprofessionalism. All I expected was accountability and a resolution for an order that was clearly incomplete. Unfortunately, the lack of communication and customer care has left a very negative impression, and I don't plan to return.
