Me and my friend were in the area (traveling from SJ) and wanted to get some pho for late breakfast. We both stumbled upon this salon in the same plaza. What caught our eye was how busy it was. We checked the place out and it was roomy, with a nice modern, clean aesthetic that I like. I spontaneously decided it was time for a manicure and my friend wanted to do a mani and pedi for the very first time. Needless to say, our experience was exceptional. We had good conversations with our nail techs. I love the overall ambiance, wasn't too loud but not too quiet. Definitely seems like everyone is having a pleasant experience. First time customer yesterday , found them on yelp and they did not disappoint! From the moment you walk in , to the customer service , and the service itself was amazing! Me, my daughter & my cousin went in for 2 full sets , 1 mani & 3 pedis & let me tell you, all 6 people that were taking care of us were the sweetest and gentlest people especially to my daughter! That was my biggest concern because the last place I took my daughter to in lemon grove called J&V nails, they were rude and rough with my baby, never again! We will most definitely be coming back to this place every time :) loved them!! I went in a little over a month ago for a pedicure and it was the worst pedicure I've ever had from here. I've been a bunch of times and never had an issue but this day was horrible. The tech who was working on me (I don't remember her name maybe it started with a C I'm not to sure) took forever to give me a basic pedicure. It took her at least an hour!!! I also got my nails done at the same time, and the tech who did my nails finished before the lady doing my pedicure!! The lady cut my toe nails uneven and she got polish all over my toes! She also dug in deep when cleaning my cuticles out and she made me bleed. I have never had that happen before!! And she tried to hide it from me. Due to her digging in so deep I've had numerous infections since this trip. I will never return. read more

Sophia did an excellent work despite her feeling tired from a busy and hot (Wednesday) workday. I didn't take a before photo but it was pretty much missing some nails and very chipped after only two and a half weeks, so 'twas a good time for a change. Her hands were so light I nearly fell asleep. I was surprised she took care of my cuticles and used most of the dremmel parts for my nails. She was indeed meticulous and intricate about everything. I didn't feel rushed at all. I have a good feeling this set will last me awhile since it was done so well. I was charged $60 for this and ofcourse tipped great! (She tried the airbrush method on my nails, just satisfying to watch!) I'm glad I changed nail tech this time. Thanks again Sophia. read more

Sunny Nails is my go-to spot. It's always busy and good good reason. They offer my fave lychee mimosas with service (they have lots of other options both alcoholic and non alcoholic). Personal faves for manicure are Sophia and Kelly and so far Van was by far my favorite pedicure nail tech. They each take their time and have high attention to detail. Kelly did my ombré almond shape full set today and they turned out great. Van took her time on my gel pedicure and did a great job on my callus removal and did an even better job on my massage. Update: Randy reached out and made my experience 100% better and it merits a change in my initial review. This is the definition of not just good, but great customer service and hospitality! Previous review: This place has turned me away 3x in a row. Even with an appointment they turned me away because they were too busy. Even when I have been attended, the service is mediocre at best. They don't follow directions given for a manicure. They tell you, yes will do after and then they don't. It's such a pain to remind them. I tip them well anyway to no avail. This place still awful. Also as a man getting manicures, I get the same weird looks from the workers and the clientele. Maybe it's Santee. Who knows. Changing salons. I don't recommend. read more

I found this place on yelp as I needed something close by. This was the first nail spa to respond and did NOT require me to call for an appt. Simply for that id give 3 stars. It takes a lot (sometimes) to call and schedule when you are driving or just being a parent. I booked through yelp (the messaging service) and they were super quick and friendly. I chatted that I could be there in 20, arrived and was seen within 1 minute of checking in. Service:: you are allowed a complimentary non-alcoholic beverage or alcoholic if you'd like. I had a lychee mimosa. Very simple but a kind gesture. The guy who helped me was great. I'm really sad I can't remember his name. He did a lovely massage and rub on my legs and feet. Toes came out perfect. Ambiance:: lots of tvs if you want to look at something, seats are nice and they do have massages. I didn't notice them when I was there. It's super big so I'd even consider doing a girls spa here because there's ample space. Newly remodeled. Not sure how it easy before but it's open and super clean now. Price:: typical for a salon. I think pedicures ranged from 35 to 45 to 55 depending on what you'd like. I paid $48 for mine now that I think about it. Parking:: lots of it because you are in a shopping center. He also refunded my money, which I wasn't expecting that, but I appreciate that he wants everyone to have a good experience. It took an hour and twenty minutes for a dip "manicure" that left my cuticles in terrible shape. She used the drill to trim my cuticles and didn't clean anything up. I have dip all over my fingers. I told the girl when paying that I wasn't happy and showed her and she said "you need to request your cuticles trimmed before she starts and pay extra." read more

This place is aways spotless and has up to date equipment. The headrest pillows for the chairs are magnetic! Perfect for us shorties to adjust to the right height. There is a room in the back with sliding doors, for private group treatments, that has even fancier chairs. They offer alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks with service.
