I used to like it a lot ! I usually got it done on the weekends, for a couple months. Last time I went it was during the week I was the last appt of the day so I didn't get an amazing treatment. I got there after work (I was tired as well). Got there on time, Kerri told me it was a long day and was tired (which I understand). She finished faster than other days and but I didn't say anything because I could see she was in a bad mood. I paid and left with a weird feeling. When I got home and took I shower I realized the hair wasn't completely removed. So I decided the pain wasn't worth it. The only reason I gave 1 star, is because Vanessa is great! I booked a last minute appointment on a Wednesday. Thursday night I realized there was no way I could make the time work. I rescheduled through the app 10 hours before my appointment. I was informed I would be charged 100% of the service. This is absurd for a regular client who has referred countless people. When I said I would need to consider going to another salon, the response was to cancel my next appointment. What horrible customer service! I booked with Pretty Kitty and the service was amazing! Their cancellation policy is 50% of the fee if cancelled 5 hours before. I will never go back to Dick and Jane or refer anyone to them after being treated that way. read more

I have to say that twice now I have last min booked an apt and they were able to fit me in! I have to say I love that convenience. Not I had never been booked with Katie before today and I really liked the results. She gets all the fine hairs out & dose a killer job on the bum! They have nice colors inside the room & nothing to special on the ceiling. I'd love to see a place put some really cool art on the ceiling to stare at while your waiting to be hairless .. they have a nice student and military discount which takes the Brazilian from $44 down to $33 dollars. They always honor it and make a note in your file so you don't have to remind them every time and show proof every time (I really appreciate this because I always run in last min forgetting everything). I love this place. I regularly come and see Kerri the owner. When I first came, I was new to waxing Kerri was recommended by my sister. My first experience was so comforting and kerri gave me real expectations, I knew because I was coming off shaving I wouldn't have a perfect wax right away. But Kerri assured me with regular visits and no shaving in between I would get the desired results after some time; It took a few months for me, again with no shaving in between, to get the results I wanted. Pain was the biggest fear I had when starting waxing my bikini and I was absolutely shocked how tolerable the pain was for me personally. I understand for a business owner time is money and if you ever try to book with Kerri you'll see she generally is booked like crazy. So respect her time as she does yours, common sense but apparently not for everyone. I am not a super talkative client but Kerri is a breeze to chat with, I cannot recommend enough! read more

Never painful, or awkward. Employees are highly educated, knowledgeable with years of experience waxing. Body hair, naturally, is unique person to person and is treated appropriately to fit needs of clients. I love that staff utilize waxing techniques on a case by case basis and this is proven in the longevity of results weeks after post waxing. I can go up to 6-8 weeks before regrowth which is unremarkable compared to all other waxing salons I've had a Brazilian wax. Always informative, always gently, 100% affordable + fast. I didn't catch their names but two ladies greeted me as I came in and we're very friendly and informed me about their natural waxing techniques. The wax was fast and clean and was not as painful as others I have experienced. The lady was very meticulous during my wax and you can just tell she was not in a rush and wanted to do a great job. As a bigger gal you get worried about these things. Kerri has over 25 years of experience and does not judge one bit. I can say that with confidence and she truly cares about her profession. She is like one of my girlfriends where we just chat the whole time I'm getting waxed. I had something personal go on so didn't go into the salon for a year and the second she saw me she greeted me and said "hey girl where you been" with a fantastic smile. It's always intimidating to go to a place like this as a dude, but Cindy at the front was nice and so was Dawnette, my esthetician. Did a short (maybe 5 question) intake form and was immediately taken back. The service was fast, we small talked for a bit while she worked and within 20 minutes I was headed home with a completely hairless back. I have gone the this place twice already and don't get me wrong it's nice and clean. The employees are always friendly when you first walk in. The problem I have is the main thing I'm going for....a wax. Both times that I have gone it's been a waste of money because well it barley looks like I've gotten wax. I don't have thick hair or a lot, sorry to be detailed but I left both different times unsatisfied. My money was literally wasted and it was a bit upsetting. This review is for a Brazilian wax with Deborah on a slow day, while using the Get1 Free $29 special coupon. I was not impressed with the quality of work--I had to come home and pull several hairs and do the trimming myself. She never once asked if it was turning out to my liking, if I needed a trim, or applied pressure to the "ouch zones". When I reacted to the painful areas, she didn't react or say anything. She hardly ever talked to me about anything, not that that is her job, but it has been a welcoming and comfortable factor with past waxing experiences elsewhere. I wanted to try out this place, because it was a bit closer to home than my go-to spot in North Park. Sadly, I don't think I would recommend this place to anyone, and I will have to look for another place close to home. I will compliment them on taking me in on a same-day appointment, and for how quick she was (20 minutes). Nonetheless, I am looking for quality and for care to painful areas. read more

Such a great waxing place! The estheticians are friendly, nice, and clean. The place is clean as well. The waxing experience itself is good. I do wish they applied pressure right after removing the strip to relieve some of the pain, but it isn't something I'm completely upset about. They use a sugar wax, which is cool, and for some, it makes it less painful and is nicer on your skin. If you're a student or in the military, definitely take advantage of their discounts!!! I was very pleased that she explained their wax, which is natural sugar wax, and what she was going to do. The wax itself was very nice compared to conventional wax and was very gentle. I needed a new place that was closer to me and after reading the reviews I chose Dick and Janes. They were able to fit me in last minute which was great. The location was clean and organized. The actual waxing left much to be desired (no pressure to help with the pain). The wax was so hard and sticky the esthetician's glove would also stick to me. There was no after wax oil or anything to help remove the stickiness and sooth the skin. The baby wipes provided didn't help really help. The strip she left me was crooked. I was waxed last week Wednesday and have stubble now only 7 days later. My skin was irritated for three days after and the esthetician who I had was not very friendly. I'm going back to my other place even if it's further. It's like they say, you get what you pay for. read more
