Visited for brunch to try both their hot food as well as their donuts. Incredibly friendly and helpful staff and a warm and welcoming atmosphere that I wanted to love. They are known for their breakfast burritos and I went for shrimp and added avocado. The eggs were a bit dry and it needed a carb and some fat to help balance out all the protein. The salsa was flavorful, but overall it felt more like a high protein breakfast burrito. The tuna melt had a huge portion of tuna salad and a couple of pieces of cheese on top. It looked to be warmed in a panini press which wasn't able to actually melt the cheese and warm the interior. Felt closer to a tuna salad sandwich with cheese rather than a tuna melt. We also got an assortment of sweet treats with somewhat mixed results. The muffin we got was our favorite out of the sweet treats. The cinnamon roll was also good, although not the best we've had in the area. The cronut was tasty, but the internal layers melted together and lost the flaky internal structure. We were disappointed with both flavors of the strudel pastry we got with them being a bit doughy and not very flavorful. The donuts are on the denser side, but the standard donuts don't disappoint.

Perfectly made donuts. Boxes have a nice logo so nice to gift. Fresh and perfect consistency. Tried bear claw, chocolate, maple, apple fritters so far. All were sweet, addicting and just how they should be.

This spot is more than just a donut shop. They also serve a full breakfast, and it's fantastic. I ordered the chorizo burrito, and it was absolutely delicious. Their house salsa is made fresh on site, and you can really taste the difference. So good! A big shout out to Jose, who helped me. He was kind, polite, and clearly very hardworking. It's rare to see that kind of work ethic and passion for the job these days, and it truly made the experience even better. 10 star service and an overall wonderful visit. Highly recommend!

This was our second trip to Sunny Side up and it was fabulous. They had a car show in the parking lot sponsored by SSUD. The place was booming and the service was still quick and courteous. Jorge the manager had everything running like a clock. We ordered the Sunny Side breakfast burrito and the Chorizo breakfast burrito. Both burritos were made fresh to order and very delicious. Generous portions of meat, eggs, potatoes, and avocado. The house red salsa was a great compliment to the overall flavor. To top everything off we also ordered the old fashioned glazed donut and 2 apple fritters. Possibly the best fritter on the planet. I highly recommend stopping by when in Laguna Niguel for the cold brewed coffee and the delicious food. Not just for breakfast. The seating area is clean and comfortable and enjoyable for everyone.

Small cafe with a few table but crowded to place your order next to the donut case. Donuts were fresh and flavorful. The staff were friendly and accommodating however the breakfast burrito was not the best - lack of egg and needing a crispy element. The breakfast taco was really good though - potato and bacon (crispy) instead of egg.

I ordered six cronut holes and an apple fritter. No photos on website. I received six very very small, so hard we could not bite into because they were so burnt and covered in hard chocolate. Apple fritter was also burnt which I did not think was possible. Also ordered plain cake and devils food which also were very small but tasty. Raised (twist and bar were good and regular size. bagels and cream cheese were good. I did receive two what looked like bear claws but had apple inside which I did not order but seemed much more fresh than the other donuts which I don't know if they were put in to offset the condition of the others or ???

Everyone here is amazing and they always have a smile on their face. Plus they have amazing food other than just donut!!! Hands down the best place for breakfast. Don't let the name fool you!! The pancake breakfast is amazing specially with the organic Canadian maple syrup.

What a fun breakfast/brunch spot. They have plenty of parking as well as outdoor seating. The ambiance inside is approachable and low key. It's a place full of regulars with everyone knowing one another. The owner is attentive and friendly. The staff is friendly, thoughtful and attentive as well. The food was amazing. I should've taken a picture but I ate it all too quickly. I shared a maple donut with a friend, ordered a breakfast croissant sandwich, another time ordered a breakfast burrito with their salsa which was not spicy at all but tasted lovely. Price is fair. All in all it's a great experience and I would definitely bring friends next time.

We went here for the first time over the weekend and absolutely loved the food , people , service and ease of ordering. We came back this morning to order again and try the made to order homemade sausage in our breakfast sandwich. A++++. We met the owner and his parents they are wonderful people and happy they were there when we went over the weekend . The decorations for Halloween were all fun and we took lots of photos. Sunny Side Up Doughnuts has so much more than delicious hot fresh donuts & bagels. Their breakfast & lunch make you feel like you're in a little cafe where everyone knows your name & provides First Class service.I love that they are accommodating if you have special needs with your food, like no bread but lettuce wrapped around your tuna sandwich with cucumbers instead of tomato:) Love the fresh squeezed OJ varieties of fresh coffee, tea, ect...lots of variety. The vibe & energy is very relaxed & great to have a conversation or two with someone & meet a new friend.Very laid back vibe. Seating inside, tables & chairs as well as bar seating & outside seating too. Great location in a center that is very busy & parking is easy to find. What I love most about this little spot is whatever holiday it is they always have the place decorated & I also love that they support different artist with their art work on their walls & it's for sale.Great way to give back to & support the community along with delicious food & treats!

Very good donuts and very friendly staff!! I love the environment and the high top bar they have. They also have wifi and plenty of tables to sit and study!

    Santa Fe Sandwich??
    Victoria C.

Ordered two breakfast sandwiches one everything bagel sandwich was burnt so the garlic was totally bitter. The other was supposed to be a "Santa fe" sandwich with Swiss, egg, tomato, bell peppers etc. Had none of that. Just weird house made sausage flat egg and a bit of cheddar on floppy white bread.

Donuts are fantastic! My family gobbled them all up! There were two employees in the establishment that were friendly and helpful. It's in a cute little shopping center with plenty of parking.I want to come again to try the breakfast menu!

I thought we…read morewould have to wait a long while, but the receptionist (Holly) checked us in immediately, and upgraded our room. She was friendly, professional, helpful, and accommodating. She explained all the hotel's amenities. In addition to the room charge, a $40 resort fee got us: 1. On-site parking; 2. Welcome sangrias; 3. Chocolate chip cookies each night; 4. A European styled breakfast each morning from 7am to 10am; 5. Wi-fi; 6. Beach chairs and umbrellas. Parking in Laguna Beach is a premium, so parking at the resort was great. The city of Laguna offers a free shuttle with a bus stop almost in front of the hotel. So we parked our car and took the shuttle all over town. The property is a well maintained, quant renovated 26 room Italian style resort. It's clean, charming, and has lots of character. It felt nice being at a small property and not at a large commercial hotel. We felt like we were back in Italy on vacation again! Just walking past the front of the hotel, you would not know that there is a luxury resort inside. They have a heated swimming pool (83 degrees), a sauna, and a secluded sun bathing lounge area and several other amenities. We opted for the heated wellness treatment which is a jacuzzi hot tub for two with mineral water. But they also offer single and couples messages and other message therapies. They have a quant internal courtyard for dining as well. We enjoyed a great European breakfast each day which was well prepared, fresh, healthy, and served by great hostesses. We especially liked the frittatas, fresh squeezed orange juice, hot coffee, and iced cold lemon water. The property is a historic landmark, so it doesn't offer handicap accessibility. So if you or someone in your group is in a wheel chair or uses a walker then this property won't work for you. Overall we really enjoyed staying here and would definitely go back again.

The service was excellent and can see that staff takes great care and attention to making sure everything is taken care of. We very much appreciated all the amenities this inn had to offer such as the welcome drink, evening cookies (delicious!), sauna, sunblock at the pool, towels, lovely breakfast.. all complimentary (breakfast with resort fee). We also appreciated the 10% military discount. We stayed in room 23 which was a standard queen bed with garden view and liked that spot because it felt central, private, and quiet. The room is on the smaller side but it was fine. It does not have a fridge but they provide an ice bucket. We ended up putting our bottled waters on top of the AC box and that kept it cool. Being that the inn is beautifully historic, there weren't many outlets inside the room. The bath robes were very plush. Both lamp shade knobs didn't seem to turn properly but we made it work somehow. Otherwise, we felt well taken care of throughout our stay and so glad we came. Aside from the inn, there is a walk to get to Victoria Beach. We walked south along Coast Highway to Victoria Place and found the underpass from there. We also took the free trolley outside of the hotel to get around town. It could be quite a wait for the trolley as we waited 30 mins. There is a QR code on the sign to track the trolley locations.
