Old school simple donut shop. Very fresh and delicious. WIll return. Reviews need to be at least 85 characters. Why?

This was one of the most disappointing customer service experiences I've ever had. The woman at the main cashier, who was dressed very professionally, was incredibly rude, dismissive, and impatient with my parents. They speak English with an accent, and instead of showing even a little patience or kindness, she rushed them through their order and acted like they were an inconvenience. It was embarrassing and upsetting to watch. What made it even worse was seeing her completely change her attitude with the white customers who came up behind us. Suddenly she was friendly, smiling, and patient. The contrast was impossible to ignore and left us feeling singled out and unwelcome. The woman taking the donut orders was perfectly pleasant, so this review is specifically about the cashier. One rude employee can completely ruin what should have been a simple visit. No customer deserves to be treated differently because they have an accent or don't speak perfect English. Respect and basic courtesy should be given to everyone. We won't be returning, and I hope management addresses this behavior because no family should leave feeling the way we did. read more

Dippity plays the donuts game like a veteran in the playoffs. Donuts ready upon arrival. The usual classics arranged neatly: chocolate, maple bars, pink, sprinkles, and glazed all sitting pretty. The staff makes haste and wastes no energy. As soon as I paid for my donut, I was united with my donut. No waiting period. No extra time taken to heat up the donut. This business approaches the donut slanging game with a business-like demeanor. It is pleasant to be in the presence of winners in the donut industry. Nicely done here! - Old Fashioned | A variation of an old fashioned donut in that they add icing and crumbling bits of cinnamon, all while maintaining traditional form. Get it if you're feeling like elevated is where you want to be. THE DIPPITY DONUTS FEELS | Old school donut shop vibes, complete with booth & bar stool seating while the smell of coffee and donuts lingers in the air. Faded milkshake posters adorn the walls. Very clean, plenty of parking. Employees are friendly, happy, fast but accurate. Their donuts are so fresh. I like the cake chocolate and maple. They were like little editable clouds. So yummy. I also have had the bacon and egg sandwich. Bread toasted just right, large amount of egg and bacon. Same goes for the breakfast burritos. Their hamburgers are popular and so are the breakfast plates (eggs, bacon, etc). They are of the $4.99 range (about $5.40 with tax). Taste/Quality: Hash Browns were generic, bacon and eggs were okay, I liked the toast, and the one donut topped it all off. 3 Ambiance/Atmosphere: Generic donut place with case and coffee but unique seating - booths and counter chairs. Felt quiet. Color scheme of white and light reds. 4 Overall I felt like I had a good value and experience. Not the place you go the extra mile for great taste but price and value when your in the mood for Denny's or McDonald's that's not Denny's or McDonald's. Their lunch specials are ridiculously inexpensive - $4.29 for a burger, fries, and a drink. Ok, so it's not the best burger in the world, but for the price it is way above average, and if you're not full afterwards, just add a donut! Oh, the place is on the old side (did I mention that I've been going there for over 30 years?!) and the interior could use some updating, but what do you expect from a beach town donut shack? Fantastic donuts. I was out in this area visiting friends and they come here weekely so thought we'd check it out. Glad we did, however it was really embarrasing when I went to pay and they told me that they dont accept credit cards. This is the only reason I'm knocking a star off though as I never carry cash. Been robbed before, not gonna loose my money that way again. I'd definitely still go here again, just need to be better prepared.
