Sunny Street Café has become one of our go-to spots for breakfast. The staff is always friendly and attentive, and the food is consistently delicious. It can get busy--especially on weekends--but they do an excellent job keeping things moving and getting your food out quickly. My personal favorite is the Big Egg Sandwich, but honestly, everything I've had there has been great. The muffins are huge and perfectly baked, usually topped with a drizzle or crumbly topping--so if that's not your thing, just ask for it plain. I ordered a buttermilk pancakes with a side of grits. The staff didn't take long to complete my order and I picked up the food shortly. The buttermilk pancakes were huge and smelled and tasted delicious. The grits were yummy as well. The portions are generous and the food is filling without being greasy. I appreciate that they put plenty of butter and syrup in my bag with the plastic ware. The inside of Sunny Street was clean with an inviting atmosphere. Very nice small cafe style restaurant. It is a chain restaurant but good. Very clean and inviting. The staff was friendly and welcoming. I had the fresh squeeezed orange juice, the hearty breakfast with 3 eggs scrambled soft, hashbrowns, pancakes with bacon. I added a side of ham and 2 English muffins...I know...I was hungry!!! Everything was delicious! The kitchen made my eggs exactly like I enjoy them. The space is small, there is no service attitude, and the crispy shredded potato are too greasy.

I'm always looking for something different. Here we live just a few miles away and have never tried Sunny Street. It's a block off of Keller Parkway so you won't necessarily stumble on it. I brought my teenage here for a vacation breakfast. It's very clean inside and definitely has that cafe feel. The menu is not too overwhelming so it made the decisions a little easier. The waitress was super friendly and checked in on us often. So I ordered the country omelette that comes with gravy. However, I opted for that on the side and ordered a biscuit. The country omelette has cheese, onions, sausage and hash browns in it. My side was grits. WOW!!!! those grits were awesome. So good that next time I'll order just a bowl of them for breakfast. The omelette was good and the biscuit also. The gravy was good but slightly too runny for me. My daughter liked her big bite breakfast. Overall it's a solid 4/5. I'll definitely come back. read more

The Tex-Mex Omelette from the "Off the Menu Favorites" seemed the most tempting. While a lot of restaurants offer a variation of an omelette with chorizo, I do not recall any which included chili. The omelette was tasty, but the recipe needs tweaking. Whether it was from the tomatoes or the chili, there was excess liquid in the omelette which softened the eggs. Those who like putting salsa or ketchup on their eggs may enjoy the softened omelette. The hash browns were crispy but too dry for my preference. And we are back to restaurants which only offer one slice of toast. The staff is very friendly and professional. I never had to ask to get my coffee refilled. Although I could have easily gotten a table, I chose to sit at the counter and not take up an entire table. Eventually, the restaurant got so busy that even the bar was getting full. read more

Came here on a Sunday morning at 7 ish when they opened. So there wasn't too many people but by the time we left the place was pretty full. We didn't really get much service while here, it took about 20 minutes after we finished eating to get our bill. The food was ok nothing special but it wasn't bad. The cold brew coffee was not good but the waitress saw I didn't drink it and offered to take it off the table. All and all it was just ok. Cute little dinner though! read more

I absolutely love this place and it's one of our go to places! The staff is some of the friendliest I have ever met! There is almost NEVER a wait! One of my favorite things is my coffee NEVER even got half way empty. They're constantly giving you refills. I have two small girls, and they LOVE the Dina sour pancakes! They're so cute and so yummy!!! Here is the kicker. Last time we went there, my youngest (in her terrible twos) ordered the dinosaur pancake. The MINUTE we put the syrup on it (WHICH SHE ALWAYS LOVES) she started screaming and throwing a fit! I quickly apologized to the waitress and said we would just order a other Dinosaur breakfast and pay for the extra meal. They had the meal out within five minutes and DIDN'T CHARGE US. I truly feel like the staff goes above and beyond for customers. The food itself is SO. FREAKING. GOOD! I also LOVE that they have SUCH a variety. We went with my family and my parents, and none of us ever go somewhere where we ALL love the food, and omg we ALL had something on the menu for us! Food is decent. The servers are fine. It's the people at the front greeting and seating people who are the problem. On the weekends there are 3 young females at the front. You walk in. They don't say "hi." They don't even smile. The second weekend we went, I smiled and said hi and all I got was "2?" from one of them. They put out an attitude that you are bothering them. There are lots of breakfast spots in the area with comparable food quality with friendlier hosts so we will go elsewhere. read more

We came in on a Saturday around 9:30 am. There was a wait so we elected to sit at the counter on the far edge closest to the kitchen window where food goes out. I got hot tea and hubs got a coke. They bring you a box so you can pick your flavor. The waitress, Toni, offered me honey and lemon as well. Yes please and yum. I ordered the big bite breakfast with eggs over medium, crispy bacon, wheat toast and hashbrowns crispy. Everything was cooked perfectly. My husband got eggs Benedict and he declared his yummy as well. I noticed everyone working hard and everyone knew there job. The owner was there making sure things went smoothly. My only complaint was the end of the counter was an area where wait staff would put drinks or a dirty dish so I had to arrange my stuff to make room. I know folks love sunny street for breakfast and I do too but I also love their lunch. I came in for a quick lunch and the Buffalo chicken salad caught my eye. The salad has plenty of grilled chicken breast and it was covered in a mild flavored Buffalo sauce. The mixed greens gave the diversity in flavor needed to balance the spicy chicken and the other veggies and cheese. The menu gave me all these options, but having just run a 5K, felt I deserved sweet. I went for the "French Toast Crunch French toast coated with a granola-coconut crunch, topped with strawberries, bananas and whipped cream - 8.29" It was the granola coconut that caught my eye, and the fresh fruit sealed the deal. I gotta say, pretty good. No complaints. Next time I will try savory. Sunny Street Benedict "Poached eggs atop fresh spinach served on a toasted English muffin. Topped with hollandaise, diced tomato and feta cheese - 9.29" sounded pretty good too. Even though the place was busy, even on the cold 1/11/2020 day, the place was busy. Although we had a group, we were seated quickly. Service was attentive, and my coffee cup never went empty. If I was going to nit pic one thing though, I would have liked the coffee a little stronger. Nice outdoor seating area too, though it was not being used today. I just didn't appreciate the fact I asked for the manager and had to wait almost twenty minutes for them to come. But when Lindsey came she was apologetic and appealingly caring. Won't be going back. Took my kids for brunch here a couple of weekends ago after learning that there was an hour-long wait at our usual brunch stop, Seven Mile. Place was bustling (a good sign) but not slammed, and we were seated after a brief wait, which was good because we were all ravenous after hiking. Our waitress was professional, but neither warm nor friendly. Ordered chicken and waffles for each of my kiddos (10 and 13), and a chorizo breakfast burrito for myself. Asked the waitress to hold the cheese. The fried chicken over the waffles was heavily dusted with powdered sugar, which the kids and I found bizarre. I get that this is a sweet and savory dish, but powdered sugar in addition to (imitation) maple syrup is overkill. The waffles were heavy, doughy, and rather bland. The fried chicken itself was fine. My daughter barely touched her plate as a result. My burrito had tiny bits of American breakfast sausage, zero chorizo. When I shared this with the waitress, she said, "Yeah, our chorizo's a little different." Huh? She offered to replace it, which I accepted. When she returned, the new burrito had SOMETHING in the way of meat, but the pieces were so tiny and tasteless that it was (crazily) impossible to identify whether it was chorizo or not. I also immediately realized that this second burrito had cheese, contrary to my initial request. At this point, my son was getting close to finishing his plate (he didn't so much mind the powdered sugar on his chicken). The waitress did check in to ask about the burrito and I just told her that it was fine, not wanting the hassle of wagering a third failed attempt.
