This place is very reminiscent of that hometown diner. Noticed a lot of regulars by how the staff knew them by name. The staff works together to take care of the customers. I ordered the country omelette with southern grits and sourdough toast. I absolutely loved the grits and toast. The grits tasted and had the texture of risotto and the sourdough was flavorful and soft with just a slight crunch on the outside. The omelette I wasn't too impressed with. It was salty and the taste just didn't marry well. It was topped with sausage gravy and in the inside had sausage and onions and peppers. It tasted like a Philly cheesesteaks but instead of roast beef it had sausage. Other than the omelette i really enjoyed this place. I would come back and recommend.

I was taking my MIL and a dear friend out to lunch - I wanted somewhere close by and Sunny Street fit the bill. My MIL uses a walker and the handicapped spot was immediately in front of the door. I was able to leave the walker in the car and just help her in - if you've ever dealt with a walker you know how much this is appreciated. We were immediately seated and our waitress had our drink orders within minutes. Everything was great until we got our food. I had the half and half with a BLT and the strawberry salad. The BLT was mostly lettuce and I'm not kidding you, there was one strip of bacon cut in half. To top it off, the toast was a little burnt - just not good. The salad was a little better except for the unripened avocado and the candied nuts. They were almost dust - like it was the bottom of the container and that was just emptied onto the salad. My MIL had the half and half with soup and a grilled cheese. As she's not one to complain, I didn't realize until she was almost done that her sandwich was burned on the underside. I mean black burned. I don't know how she ate it. She also said the soup wasn't very good. I don't get her out as much as I should so I was extra disappointed that her lunch was so bad. Our friend had the turkey wrap and a bowl of fruit. The fruit looked wonderful and it was quite a big bowl. She didn't care for the wrap - she said the fillings were scant and she ended up picking off the extra tortilla. On the plus side, our server was great and the restaurant was quiet enough that my friend with hearing aids didn't have trouble hearing the conversation clearly. Sunny Street is almost walkable from my MIL's house (well, not walkable for her but really close by) and it would be nice if it could be our "go-to" restaurant. It was just so disappointing that we won't be back.

What a hometown feel, We were greeted with smile and seated right away, The cook needs a raise cause the food was soooo good. When we went it was very calm and peaceful, the waitress was on making sure if we needed anything but not to over bearing. It definitely has a cafe vibe.

Busy place that is doing their best to protect us and them from COVID-19; however, some of the patrons were not wearing a mask and Sunny Street Cafe was not enforcing them to have one; although, at the door it says you must wear one. The person that seated us was not very friendly, Tanja? Our server was awesome, Amanda. She greeted us and advised us it was going to be a wait, they had a "full restaurant " We ordered blueberry pancakes w/o strudel or compote and the waffle, no powder sugar, and eggs a side of fruit and sausage. It took almost 1/2 hour to get the food. The food was good, nothing special, but good and our server was great, would I go back? Maybe

This was one of the best sandwiches I have ever had in my life. I ordered the Super Crispy Torta breakfast which is a seasonal menu item, the chef prepared my order grilled chicken instead of fried (Compliments to the chef.) Even though the large table of people complaining about everything our shared waitress kept a smile on her face when took our order. The dinning room and bathroom were very clean.

Oh man those pancakes was to die for. My husband got the Chorizo Burrito, he absolutely loved it. He wants me to add that the hash browns was cooked to an amazing crispy delicious yum yum.

This is a cute little place. My parents eat here a lot for breakfast and brunch. I had chi Ken and waffles and it was delicious. The wait to get a table wasn't terribly long.

Average breakfast location with a 15min usual wait time. The food was ok, with the hash browns being the worst. They were greasy and tasteless. My wife's bacon was so overcooked, it shattered like glass when she dropped it. There's plenty of parking, clean bathrooms, and the staff was attentive. There are better breakfast places in Huntsville, so it's up to you. Happy eats!

Most of the wait staff was wearing very tattered clothing and the worst offender was the bus boy. Although he was working his tail off, he looked like he hadn't showed in several days and hadn't washed his clothes in a week. His bus tub was disgusting. As he was cleaning the table beside us, he put the tub in the table top and as I turned my head to look over I lost my appetite seeing the condition of the tub. To know that he put it on top of the table made me even more disgusted. Not only was he bussing tables but he was also taking plates of food to tables. I, personally, would not have accepted food from him because it's very unlikely he washed his hands after cleaning tables off. Our waiter was nice but he looked very sloppy. I realize I'm not at a white table cloth restaurant but at least make sure the serve staff looks presentable. We won't be back.

I walked in a little past 1pm, having studied the chalkboard outside with a delightful-sounding selection of spring specials. As I'm ordering, the barista and I alike see another group walk in. And another. And another-- I'm not seeing anyone else in the rather small physical establishment, and as a former barista am beginning to sweat a bit for this Greenroom employee and all of the orders he is about to have to deal with, seemingly by himself (cue the cheerful chime announcing more customers, and more customers). As I wait for my order, grateful to be the first in this long line, I sit to casually read a book and take my opportunity to observe my fellow patrons of this fine little spot. I hear the barista asking customers if they're okay with waiting, and he begins to ask customers if they're okay with waiting a minute for their orders. I'm content, as I have no urgent arrangements, and the now plastic-gloved barista comes up to me, informing me that they have no lime to garnish the avocado toast I've ordered and asking if that was okay. I assert as much and he returns to the line; I think to myself that he could have saved the time and not told me and I wouldn't have known the difference, but I'm pleased with his attention to detail. I get my to-go box of avocado toast with an egg and am pleased to open it and try a bite. I feel that it could have done with red pepper flakes (my favorite), but the everything bagel seasoning added a nice texture and the overall flavor profile was delightfully savory. As for my drink, which came later, it was the Good Riddance: a vanilla cold brew with lime pie cold foam (which lived up to the name tremendously). It also had what I believe to be graham cracker or pie crust crumbles on the top that were delightful! The drink was delicious and perfect for the spring weather. I sit upstairs as I always do, but specifically on the patio where I can see all of MidCity and the surrounding businesses. There's nonintrusive and enjoyable music presumably coming from the Camp itself? After an hour or so of enjoying my spoils, I return to the counter below to see if the barista is still there now that the rush is over. He is now accompanied by another coworker, blessedly, and I learn that his name is Caleb. We chat for a few moments and I introduce myself before leaving, but not before taking another picture of all the event calendars for the week and month. Now I'm positively fueled for my afternoon and grateful for the relaxed atmosphere. (Thanks for reading this far if you did, and shoutout again to Caleb for doing his job tremendously! He informed me that he enjoys a good rush of customers, and I replied that I would have cried to have been in the situation that he handled with great poise and dedication.
